Super GT review is pretty good. He said physics are much more detailed, and grid start racing can be challenging. AI is not that bad and can be challenging as long as your car is slightly underpowered.
Had just finished watching. Was pretty good. He breezed through the car customisation though.
Everything else he mentioned was solid.
For me, utilising the multi-class is going to, not superficially, aid in having good AI races. Now, no one has mentioned if the AI will use the exact set ups from our garage. For example, I’ll be using the Demio and Crown in Super Taikyu specifications(I prefer GT4 and lower/slower classed cars, over GT3 and above). They’re both in different classes. Other cars in their respective classes, range from the ND MX-5, Fit, 370Z and Lexus RC. When I tune those cars for my garage, they’ll be equal in performance. I’m hoping that vitual lap the game uses, to simulate a predicted car’s performance, will translate in how the AI utilise the car.
Anyway, with the several other classes I’ll have in those races, I’ll be getting lapped by faster cars(GT3 & GT4, “TCR” and 4WD Gr.4 cars). It’ll feel more like a race, as opposed to just One class or one make race scenarios.
Also, as he mentioned money and making clear choices when buying expensive cars. That’s something I touched on. I feel it’ll add more value to the choices players make. In the streams, people were just selecting any car. Even though they had many gift cars, actually buying the ones you want, may take more planning than in previous games. I’ve already made a list of the cars I need for what I want to do.
I haven’t even touched the game and I think PD have out Assetto Corsa’d Assetto Corsa. AI is the big ink blot on the canvas for solo players, but there’s just too much good that can ease the eyesore. 16 and bit hours to go.
