True, but i have a feeling they’ll be pushing the new tracks and tuning options hard at first. I foresee a lot of people losing patience quickly with tuning sport races once it becomes obvious there is a meta tune so hopefully they’ll revert to BoP.

What’s the difference between the meta car everyone uses?

From what I’ve seen of various reviews, it looks like making money will be even harder than in GTS and I have yet to see an event that pays more than 100k. Using the free million credits from the 25th AE at the start doesn’t seem like such a bad idea now. It will be interesting to see what money grinding methods people come up with.

They could need further progression to reach races with higher payouts. It depends on how the cars are priced, but from what I've seen, I hope you can make around 1 to 1.3 million for one hour of driving, once you're in the professional leagues.

Not sure how that META thing will work with changing conditions, curb dynamics, pit lane entry/exit infringemen, penalties under yellows, etc. Of course we have to wait and see, but I think there’s more at play now. A DBR9 might be fast in the dry, but if someone is in an RSR and it starts raining, the race may come back to them.

Pretty much, he challenged me to a race because I’m a peasant pad player, set up a race for him and then he chickened out and accused me of cheating 🙄

Anyway the dude on twitch playing is on a pad and has improved a lot in the past few days, showing this cafe menu collection thing might work on helping people get better at driving in GT

The difference is that you just select the car and join the race, instead of adjusting 15 slider and number fields. In any case, we will know soon.

Did you read his post? I’m guessing not… he said there was going to be a meta tune in which EVERYONE uses… which is no different when you show up to a race and it’s 13 911’s on the grid. The difference you talk about is obvious my friend.

A whole lot of time and effort. BoP isn’t perfect in sport but doesn’t mean they couldn’t have fixed it for 7. We shall see.

That’s what happened in the road to Gt7 series. It just added a whole lot of messing about to get to the point we were at anyway. Addressing the BoP problems would have resulted in a more varied field. Especially with the GR4 FF cars dominating. Tuning will guarantee a META, there’s no way it can‘t; at least in the higher lobbies where every tenth counts.

In a lobby, you have a selection of various times of day, just like in GTS. In custom race, you can choose a specific time (or a selection of various times of day).

In the twitch stream, in his other account he just unlocked Legend Cars... but it isn't in the same state as when he unlocked it the last time. It's as if time has progressed since yesterday. Maybe the Legend Car dealer changes according to real time rather than in-game time?

I’m told this and seen a picture of the setting. Maybe, just maybe, specific time setting is burried somewhere but I doubt it, because in the custom races, there’s a setting “custom”, which is not on the screen I saw. Only presets.

Weather setting seems to be the same as in custom race, e.g. dynamic weather with selection of random, low rain, medium rain, etc.

You would be mistaken as multiple well-known members have repeatedly aired their grievances with GT. It’s allowed - welcomed, even. As long as you follow the rules and present your criticisms politely, don’t get into arguments with other users, it’s fine.
