So far I find the reviews terribly biased, like they can't see beyond the super polish and great presentation. The game still has the same shortcomings when it comes to AI and gameplay. Well but those are minor issues aren't they.......

Example : Content from the original GRiD/TOCA series appears in Grid Legends. It's called recycling content. In Gran Turismo 7 it is called "returning to glory days / form".
Not bias, context.GT Sport got rid of alot of good things from GT franchise and lots of reviewers are basing their GT7 reviews on the previous entry.
But apart from that reviews praise how refined the whole experience is,not to mention the addition of gt café.
Nothing wrong with the gt campaign gameplay loop,it's appealing to players just like alot of Elden Ring can be traced back to Demon Souls from late 2000s,doesn't make the game bad or recycled.

I don’t play sport mode at all but I play online a lot. How do they measure the % of players on that aspect?
It's possible to measure how many players play regularly (through the saves), and how many of them entered Sport mode races.

But as has been demonstrated, Sophy hasn't been pitched as an AI to race against, it's been pitched as a learning tool, teaching type thing. I don't know why people seem to be getting hyper for Sophy AI to race against when it's never been promised.
The way they presented Sophy is probably the main reason for the misunderstanding, it appeared on the face of it to be something that players could race against, and was shown to be so fast that it even beat the best real players. It appeared to be exactly what we wanted, it's only when you delved further into the presentation information you would realise it's not going to be like that for us, and it was merely a demonstration of what might be possible in the future. Maybe by GT8 they can implement it like that but for GT7, sadly not.

Personally I think revealing it in that way, and at that point in time, was a complete misstep. They should have just waited until it was usable in some form, and updated into the game right away after announcement. That way nobody would get the wrong end of the stick of what it is, and when it'll be in GT7.

...just to ask, if any of you that had review copies or anyone got view of this

Alfa Romeo 155 Ti is in which group now?
Also Chaparral 2J competes with what cars?

Just curious...

Also, looks like at least from the standpoint of widebody and race modifications, we could basically make our own GT cars, like GT5 with Pantera wide body and some modifications, most cars could go up to GT4 maybe even GT3... curious if this will be the case for Sport mode or something...

The Alfa Romeo 155 2.5 V6 TI is a Gr. 4-class vehicle, while the closest competitor to the Chaparral 2J would be the Porsche 917K.

On one hand, I’m incredibly disappointed that the majority of the career seems to be another chase the rabbit fest, with these “optional races” I’m hearing about being the exception. Luke Reilly from IGN thankfully picked up on this too.

On the other hand, the physics improvements seem very impressive and I’m glad the PS4 version doesn’t seem that different to the PS5 version. I initially hesitated to buy the PS4 version in fear it would perform bad in comparison but it really doesn’t seem that bad.

Will probably pick up this game for PS4 next payday!

...yeah, just googled a bit and found this, seems it's gonna be 524PP, while Megane Trophy is 511PP, and the newly introduced Silvia Spec-R Aero Touring Car is 636PP and also in Gr.4... interesting...

Paul Mauriat is in there (in music rally) but not his arguably most famous song, Love is Blue, which would make for some good menu music.

Didn't Sophy race against GTS' top players?

I’m watching superGT review and it seems like the AI wasn’t that bad I mean he is a fast driver and he said the AI was challenging.. he said it took him the last lap to make the pass for 1st a couple of times. He didn’t like the rabbit style but he said it was also standing starts which were good. Also said career mode was enjoyable from what he played. The 4th cannot come any sooner!!

I don’t even care what the review is, I won’t be influenced by someone’s bias opinion and will enjoy what Kazanuri San’s vision is.

Here’s that Tsuchiya 86. Not quite the wheels and roll cage, but it’s got the rear spoiler(nice) and green carbon bonnet.

I got a phone call from my Gamestop confirming my pre-order for GT7. Friday can't come soon enough, especially after the good reviews I've been hearing from, and all of the things I saw.

Though I will say that it's a shame that the "chase the rabbit" format is still on most of the career mode with only some of the advanced races having good A.I. as I heard from SuperGT. I can understand why people would be upset about it.

Alright, the embargo is lifted for reviews, so I feel a bit more daring with screenshots again. I wanted to share some of the things I really liked from the streams and the reviews.

I'm putting them in spoilers though as I understand people not wanting to know about the game's features yet.
1. Custom grills, like on this 1969 Camaro and I like that one of the grills has the normal chevy badge.

I can't believe that added custom lightbulbs as an upgrade option. I haven't seen this since NFS Underground 2.

and tow hooks, there's even flippin' toe hooks.

I think this might be the most in-depth I've seen GT get with its customization ever. It looks glorious.

The bodykits on the A.I., they really do bring back memories.
