Nah that's only 320 dollars to buy one of the 20million cars, totally fine. PD definitely won't cripple credit payouts to tempt you into buying them, totally optional, so it's all cool.

Well sorry to break it to you but prices seemed to have been really nerfed, 50% off the 250 GT, and by the way as you already know nothing force you to buy those stop whining about it

CBH
No because I had the credits to buy the Integra Type R (DC2) '98.
Nice. What menu book did you have to complete after buying the Integra? Did you still have to collect those three cars, or did you have to collect different cars?

If I had a VPN set to Australia could I cheese my way into early access of the game? I don’t plan on doing it just curious.

Is there any info yet if the roulette ticket car rewards are dupe protected? (e.g. that they aren’t cars you already own?

Also, can duplicate cars be sold now? It was so annoying in GT Sport to just having to delete dupe gifted cars while I needed credits badly to purchase the really expensive cars.

Sorry yes you can buy any car if you had the credits, and I have not been to the menu book as yet.

Nope. You have to buy the game from the AUS Store to be able to play on AUS releasetime.

He literally said it's a bit steep, I don't know how up-in-arms you want us to be exactly.

A new game has just come out, and while you're entitled to your opinion, it seems a tad unreasonable to mock others for being relatively happy that "The best GT of all time" has just been released, and not as hung up on its flaws as you might be

I'm sure racing tyres have always been expensive. The performance they give in the game is probably worth more than what they cost. I was tipping a Honda s800 over on GT Sport they are that sticky.
It has been always expensive to buy racing tyres, even in games without MTs.

The game is still not 'released' right? So digital copies won't work?

Just seeing people get the pre order cars made me wonder if it's gone live already.

Absurd pricing. If this was the other game people here would be slaughtering them but as usual GT seems to get a free pass. MTs are fine now apparently.
4 dollars for 100.000cr is just too much, I bet you can have those credits in less than 20 minutes.

I'm not mocking anyone for being happy about the game, I'm questioning why so many people are fine with predatory microtransactions in the game from day one. They are never a good thing for any game, they exist for one reason and that is to make even more money for the publisher, it's not right in a $70 game. It doesn't matter if they're optional, the game is going to be built around them and do everything it can to push you towards them. Whenever you go to buy anything and you dont have enough credits, it nudges you towards them.

Did you see the IGN review where they mention you get invited to buy expensive cars for a limited time only, or cars that only appear in stock very briefly? What happens if they come up and you don't have the credits? FOMO kicks in and you buy credits with real money. It's shady.

Like I said before, this is a beef with Sony, not PD.

The MT'S in Gran Turismo are not predatory at all, they are a choice that you can choose to use or not use. Not once I every used or felt compelled to use them. And if that's what we gotta have for free updates I'll take it.

Or would your rather it be like ACC where you have to pay another 60€ to get all DLC cars and tracks?

I need to arrange a riding trip in Iceland then!!
Pretty epic place, but you couldn’t step one foot off the road without getting in trouble…don’t ask me how I know 😄

Surely there are some places meant for off roading, but a lot of it is protected.

Should it be impossible for people who don't have the time or attention span to progress to get what they want? In a game like this, I don't really see the problem, since some people just want to drive what they want, when they want.
- Or should there be an "Unlock all" button? I don't think that would be a good idea.

We're not talking about past MT implementations, we're talking about GT7. Have you watched some GT7 footage? The suggestion to buy credits is constantly there, highlighted whenever you're out of credits and then there are the time limited cars I mentioned.

And yes, I would prefer that. Because that is giving people the option to pay money for brand new content not currently in the game. It is quite different from encouraging people to pay more money to access content they already paid $70 for.

So in doing that you'd be fragmenting the online community behind content ONLY accessible behind a paywall. Meanwhile the current implementation is a choice.

Forcing you to pay for new content is better than getting it for free? The mental gymnastics people go through on this forum to criticise GT never ceases to surprise me.

You was kind of firing shots for no reason at all but I don't care for your mockery, plus you have your opinions and your... complaints, I have mine.
I just think it's daylight robbery to pay that much for in-game credits, not that I would buy any anyway. At the end of the day, I think Sony/PD, on this occasion, are trying to make back their losses somehow that they might have had with GTSport.
