Well, that's how Brand Central works now, high-end cars like hypercars will need periodical brand invites before you can buy them. Ten cars so far need invites to buy, such as the:

  • Aston Martin One-77
  • Aston Martin Vulcan
  • Bugatti Veyron
  • Citroen GT
  • Ferrari Enzo Ferrari
  • Ferrari FXX K
  • Ferrari LaFerrari
  • Lamborghini Veneno
  • Pagani Huayra
  • Porsche Carrera GT
Oh god lol, that's the kind of thing that makes me think "of course,it's Gran Turismo" does Ferrari take the car back if you dare to paint it in rainbow colors?

It also literally moves around the field, and there's a bunch off to the left too...

10/10, absolutely MUST buy.

No Nessie or Monkey at Trial Mountain though :(

This is the coolest thing ever, i love it 😄

@AchooMR2 my copy only arrives tomorrow morning ☹️

Not at all, it's just a rather tedious mechanic to showcase the exclusivity of these hypercars.

The alternative is they sell the new cars/track as expansion packs like Forza horizon or lock cars behind weekly missions/Battle passes. Is that really better? I would rather have this and free future content than "no MT" and paid support for content. People have already spoken on MTs, they sell gangbusters so sad as it is to say, they are here to stay.
Honestly, that would be much better if the game's economy wasn't so lackluster IMO. Ignoring battle passes which PD would never ever do, selling DLC (for a certain price not too expensive) would encourage them to keep adding in new cars every month (5 or 8 cars per month, why not). However, new tracks can remain free. Heck, GT can sell millions without the need of MTs. There is just no excuse to feature MTs again in GT7, like at all.

Honestly for me the best balance is for devs to provide DLC tracks for free and charge for car packs. Tracks being free for all ensures that on-line remains as inclusive as possible, and quite frankly I'm happy paying for DLC car packs if it helps kill MTs.

My stance on them is fairly simple, they are a pox on the gaming world, one that should be killed, repeatedly, with fire.
I agree with this. I don't mind paying for car packs. I would rather have that than use MT. I really hate that studios started copying mobile gaming practices. But I guess they saw the revenue generated and decided to follow suit. It's unfortunate

We're lucky Kaz didn't add a Mass Effect style mini game where you need to convince the cafe owner to give you an invite to the Ferrari dealership
~Luca will remember that~

Hmmm. That's not a bad idea. Players get free add-on content, so it's tough to complain. Plus, buying car packs may help fund additional car models to be added & sold, perpetuating the cycle.

I wasn't sure where to ask this but for anyone who has the game can we race cars that are in different groups but against similar PP?

By that lets say I took the 911 GT1 for example, if I fully max it out at say 850PP could I race it against GR.2 cars? Or is it similar to GT Sport where you can only race road cars against road cars and GR cars against their same classes?

This is the only question I have left about the game.

I don't get why people are so worked up over this. Nobody is forcing anyone to buy anything. If its not for you, don't use the feature. 🤷‍♂️

Having watched a lot of the reviews and streams, the one constant about the raffle tickets is people complaining they seem to be biased towards the lowest pay-out.

Super GT did four in a row, all gave Cr, one gave the middle amount and the other three all gave out the lowest amount of Cr.
I've put a lot of hours in FH4 and wound up with more shorts, shoes, hats, socks, whatever, from those godforsaken wheel spins I'm quite used to disappointment.

Yay, my credits got added.
