I get the idea but I think it's $3,3m and not $330m? At the end, it's awful because cars are a key element of gameplay compared to skins in other games.
Nope, it's $330m

Have you seen this?

I mean i'm not saying "wooow big surprise microtransaction", but eh, thought I could show you.

More expensive than the equivalent ones in GT6.

  • 500,000 In-Game Credits (£3.99/€4.99)
  • 1 Million In-Game Credits (£7.99/€9.99)
  • 2,500,000 In-Game Credits (£15.99/€19.99)
  • 7 Million In-Game Credits (£39.99/€49.99)

It was always pitched as just an alternative way through the game for "busy people". Still, quite pricey, would expect to see those shift down a bit after launch. Would be nice to see someway to get rid of prompts for MTX as well.

Likely brand invitations to buy hypercars.
I half wondered if they could be paint chips like in GT6... though it could make sense to be invites. The 2 I saw were branded Citroen and Lamborghini, that could be invites for the GTbyCitroen and Veneno.

this existed in sport, the prompt removal option. it is probably in 7 too

The alternative is they sell the new cars/track as expansion packs like Forza horizon or lock cars behind weekly missions/Battle passes. Is that really better? I would rather have this and free future content than "no MT" and paid support for content. People have already spoken on MTs, they sell gangbusters so sad as it is to say, they are here to stay.
Honestly for me the best balance is for devs to provide DLC tracks for free and charge for car packs. Tracks being free for all ensures that on-line remains as inclusive as possible, and quite frankly I'm happy paying for DLC car packs if it helps kill MTs.

My stance on them is fairly simple, they are a pox on the gaming world, one that should be killed, repeatedly, with fire.

It's a combination of parental awareness (assuming parent know about MT's) and deliberate design in some games. It's not as simple as, oh well it's optional so it's fine.

That you, and for that matter me, have never had an issue with it, is to be blunt, an irrelevance. Anecdote is not the singular of data.

No it's really not.

Extensive studies have been done on both, for video games and violence no link has been shown, ever. For video games and MT's, links to addiction, particularly in those that are designed to be aggressive or effectively gambling, have been shown.
Sorry first of all what parents gives a child their financial information without knowing what’s it being used for it at least lock with a password for safety measures… I would call that bad parenting my friend.

As for you second statement I can see that happening, but as I said before doing anything recklessly can have a harmful result… If a parents let’s their child sit on games for hours and gives them any and everything they want… yea I can see that child getting upset for the fact of being told no thus resulting in what you said but again I feel that’s on the parents and not MT’s just my opinion. I still will not blame MTs for ruining a game if it’s not forced, or we don’t have evidence of a company designing a game with the purpose to force you to use them… I played GTS since it came out and got all the cars I wanted and didn’t spend a single dime and still enjoyed the game very much!

Other cars that need invites include the:
Aston Martin One-77
Aston Martin Vulcan
Bugatti Veyron
Ferrari Enzo Ferrari
Ferrari FXX K
Ferrari LaFerrari
Pagani Huayra
Porsche Carrera GT

So all in all, ten cars need invitations to be bought, and it involves at least seven brands... at least for now. As more hypercars will eventually make their way into GT7 in future updates, who know if they'll need invitations to buy them.

Some aero parts are free to install!

Technically speaking it makes sense because those parts would be sold with the car if GT500 had customer teams, these days when you buy a GT racecar from the manufacturer it typically comes with a 'support package' that includes spare parts and different spec parts.

So it's a nuanced bit of realism there just like the invite-only cars

Wait,what?What is this?
Well, that's how Brand Central works now, high-end cars like hypercars will need periodical brand invites before you can buy them. Ten cars so far need invites to buy, such as the:

  • Aston Martin One-77
  • Aston Martin Vulcan
  • Bugatti Veyron
  • Citroen GT
  • Ferrari Enzo Ferrari
  • Ferrari FXX K
  • Ferrari LaFerrari
  • Lamborghini Veneno
  • Pagani Huayra
  • Porsche Carrera GT

Is this based on fact because first of all I heard and watching super gT as we speak, and he is earning money easy and fast! You say the devs MAY have set around a table and thought of this right? So you don’t know your just guessing?
Dont know, Maybe they sat around a square table! You acknowledged I said "may have" so why are you saying I guessed lol? Maybe they didnt sit around any table and they didnt even discuss MTs or game structure? That could be a guess, an unreasonable one but one that you seem to be suggesting they didn't discuss MTs or game structure at all. Do you think they would put MTs In the game if the game was structured in a reasonable way where non hardcore GT players can get the cars they want without spending a couple hours a night on it every night for years?

You say that on super GTs stream he is earning money and fast. How much is he earning per race, are they repeatable payouts, how long are the races, how far will the money go?

If the raffle tickets are able to be purchased by real money (or even in game credits because you can buy credits with real money), then we have a big problem. So big that it might even be illegal in some parts of the world.

If raffle tickets are not available for purchase by credits or real money, then the most damage a financially irresponsible person can do to themselves is limited.

I know a guy who spends about $5000 a year on sticky bombs in GTS because when he runs out of sticky bombs, he goes and buys more.

Here in Britain if it's a game of chance it is classified as gambling by law and you need a gambling licence. A game must be a game of skill to nof be classified as gambling. I think the rules for raffles are different but I cant recall them. I have a few mates who are gamblers and when crates came out on rocket league which we played a lot I knew they would spend a lot of money on it because it was similar to a fruit machine. My one mats would often spend 20-30 quid keys for crates. I'm not a gambler and even I got a buzz waiting to see what would drop.

I messaged devs and publishers of rocket league repeatedly telling them what they were doing was not only responsible but gambling in Britain and thus needed a gambling licence. I'm stil amazed they have got away with it.

Did anybody else pre-order on Amazon? Is it typical for pre-orders to arrive on release date? There's only one option for shipping speed.

Well I hope that they'll let players tune their car in the online races and time trials cause the BoP really makes it hard to win cause it restricts the tires, horsepower and what you can do to tune your car right. That's why I can't win.

No, I would like to order it somewhere online at a cheap price, the ps4 version.

The Goodwood one is 350PP, so it's about four minutes. Call it 10k/minute.

Edit: Hold the ****ing PHONE, I have just seen the greatest thing EVER! Give me a minute to gif it...

Im too dumb to know, what am I missing in that gif?

Typically yes, the regular shipping with prime is supposed to arrive day 1. They can be inconsistent at times though

Just had a random thought and I'm sure it's probably been suggested before. It would be pretty cool if PD ever decided to implement some sort of Auction House where you can buy and sell cars with your credits. And maybe have an option to create private auctions which would be a work around to bringing back Tickets, since we no longer can gift cars to friends.

See you guys on the track

But if it's the same for everyone that you're racing against, no one should win...
