I don't get why people are so worked up over this. Nobody is forcing anyone to buy anything. If its not for you, don't use the feature. 🤷‍♂️
From my understanding it a psychological warfare on the gamer… meant to pressure one into using real cash to further the financial advancement. I have used them before for my Son and daughter, but never once in GT nor do I judge anyone who wants to use their own cash to get them. I’m with you if it’s not forced I don’t see the problem but as what I said in the beginning it’s deeper than that.

Because it’s not free to make. If they don’t make money for the work they do, they don’t stay in business.
For some reason everyone is forgetting this.. and this is just not Sony this is just about every damn company in today’s society…. But again if this was forced It would be understandable. I’m not getting anything from those mts unless I get a gift card or something in that nature. I can understand the gamer who doesn’t have the time to play GT7 and maybe using one I have no problem with that… if you are rich and can afford the 20mil MT.. more to you! I make a decent penny and will not buy it period. In the end it’s up to the person in my opinion.

Been thinking of Raids in multiplayer games and MMOs with hard difficulty zones,PD should totally make a Tuning League or Tuning Championship that runs all year outside Daily Races.

Why are you guys talking like the car silhouettes and free content won't happen again for GT7? Did I miss some bit of info related to DLC or something?

"I want to pay for the extra content because I want to support Polyphony"

While I can see why someone may think like this, there are a few things to point out.

Why do you think Polyphony needs this extra support? Do you have inside information, on their monetization plans, that shows they are working with such thin profit margins? For all you know, they've got it all planned, meticulously, and they'll be able to give the content away, with no issues and with no one's work going unpaid.

Remember that Polyphony Digital is not an indie developer struggling to make ends meet, day by day, and just because a game developer offers some content for free, doesn't mean they're taking a loss or that people are working for free.

If the content can be offered for free without issues, why would you still prefer to pay for it? I mean, if you genuinely would like to thank them further, through monetary means, or you really think they could use the funds, just donate directly.

・Tickets
Drive the distance of a marathon (26.21 miles / 42.195km) in races or events over the course of a single day and you will win a 'Roulette Ticket' as a reward for completing your Daily Workout. Go to 'Garage' -> 'Gift' to claim your ticket.

The higher your Collector Level, the more likely you are to receive a high-ranking Roulette Ticket. These tickets will allow you to win parts and engines that cannot be found at the Tuning Shop, among other special items. In addition to the Roulette Tickets that can be obtained for completing Daily Workouts, there are 'Car Tickets' and 'Credit Tickets' to be won.

@Monkey Man, our theory might be right on how to obtain 'engine swap' engines in the game, via the roulette.

Alright i started my game and got the 3 cars but i didn't get the 100k credits :(. I restarted as suggested by others but still no cash!

GT themselves announced that there's going to be more content added periodically
Which they have done since 5 I believe? I was shocked on how much free stuff we got, okay FM you had to get the packs which was still cool with me because they gave you the one free car and they pack had nice cars I would get the whole pack or if it had a couple cars I would get those. Had no problem with it but still people just complained about it even though in my opinion you weren’t forced to buy it.

The main problem with paid DLC is that it splits the online player base. I seen enough examples from Battlefield and Forza Motorsport games that this method is kind of ****.

That's yet another matter. I imagine people, in Sport Mode, would not be happy to see the most competitive car, in any class, be a paid DLC. That would mean pay to win online.
It reminds me of the NASCAR expansion for Forza 6, It had it's own lobby and it was pretty much dead on arrival in terms of online players. You never seen Homestead Miami Speedway in the regular lobbies either because it was locked away, such a waste.
