Just saw this online. I like the evo Front Splitter! Wonder what Widebody and engine swap possibilities exist for the E30

Okay, I already read and watch some reviews including Jordan's and Super GT's, and in spite of that; I still wasn't prepared for the physics changes.

I decided to jump into Clubman Cup Plus on High Speed Ring with my R34 Skyline GT-R, thinking okay this'll be like GT Sport. The A.I. is tougher here, but I will overcome it.

Nope! That didn't happen, the Skyline did something I didn't expect it to do, snap oversteer into a guardrail. Eh, I think I'll come back to that race later. When I'm better at the new physics, I'll continue being a baby driving hatchbacks for now.

Seriously, I didn't think there would be a challenge in driving a Skyline ever. I don't recall ever having snap oversteer problems even on Assetto Corsa.

Two minor annoyances for me that aren't physics related.

Most of the add-on lips and skirts for more uncommon cars only being available in bare carbon which cant be painted or have decals placed on them kinda stinks.

The inability to do any sort of transmission tuning to CVT equipped as factory cars. Was hoping they would have had the fully customizable transmission as an option to give it a six speed sequential. I want a Toyota Aqua touring car!

I was able to 'colour' the add on lip and side skirts for the Atenza under 'Other' on the Decal Editor. If you paint the car with a paint chip of course, it'll be harder/impossible to match.

Bro same here.. I was like this is going to be just like GTS maybe a little harder… Had to use TCS for a whole day bro because of spinning out, I’m getting use to the physics now and when you nail a sequence of corners is truly rewarding!!

I don't own the game yet, my friend let me drive at Tsukuba and the Nurb. It's not your typical dynamic weather that you commonly see in most games. It's truly real time weather, there are so many nuance going on. Some parts of the track will have rain and some parts are dry, puddles form and dry realistically, the cloud formation is also extremely impressive, I don't think I've seen something like that before. People here who are more knowledgeable about this could probably explain it better than me. The weather radar for me is cheating, but I understand why they added it.
Yeah, there's been a few racing games that have done live track stuff before but they're mostly more on the hardcore end of the spectrum. The Codies F1 games are probably the most mainstream thing to have it, and they've had it for a while since weather and track evolution is so critical to F1 strategy.

The cloud stuff Gran Turismo is doing is great though, it's the best I can think of.

I have some questions:
-Are we able to deduce which cars will be appearing at the Legend Cars dealership, or are we just aware of the five currently in rotation?

-Can we modify the cars bought from the aforementioned Legend Cars dealership, and if so, how? I'd imagine it'd be relatively limited for something like a vintage racecar like the Alfa Romeo TZ2, but perhaps a bit more open for say, a classic road car like the Aston Martin DB5.

-Given that some players have obtained the Toyota Supra GT500 '97, can we modify it at all? That is, including applying internal upgrades like the Brembo brakes and giving it a custom rear wing, for examples. I suppose I ask in that case I would want to have more than one of the same car, with one to leave as-stock and at least one to modify.

-Do we have a list of campaign events, license tests, missions, etc. yet with prize cars? Even if it's a work-in-progress, I suppose I'd be interested in seeing it.

This game really has me looking forward to the eventual PS5 Pro. The ray tracing looks great but 30fps does not.
Yes. It’s quite jarring going from 60fps gameplay to the 30fps replays. I have the same when I use a non 120hz phone now.

In the sport mode, are qualifying replays from other players not available anymore? I only see the option to load their lap as a ghost. I used to watch top players' laps a lot to learn track/car combinations…

Edit:
I learned elsewhere that you can still watch the replays, but only before you enter the race or start setting qualifying laps.

How is it a game changer for gaming in general? It's possible the best looking weather system to date, but dynamic weather systems as a general concept have been around for a long time now.

There was a variable weather system in F1’97

Does anyone find it so dumb to race against these “legends” and they are slow af running around on rails. At least keep them in higher level races with actual laps they have set

How in the hell is DR. EMMETT BROWN leading the damn U.S. Willow Springs in his DeLorean race against a that GT Driver in his Dodge Viper :odd::odd::odd::odd::odd:
 He must've time jumped to the lead. Which I think would be cheating.

Question: are some songs in the game just unlocked gradually? Because I started hearing songs in replays that I didn't see on my song list. Like I'm watching a replay for instance and I hear Daiki Kasho's glowl from Gran Turismo 3. I don't recall seeing it on my song list.

Also, you can put a set of Spoon Sports wheels on the Castrol Tom's Supra. I'm not going to do that, but just wanted to let you all know.

To answer @MIE1992, visible custom parts aren't available for the JGTC Supra beyond wheels and the livery editor.

After watching Tidgney fail 5 times against the AI at Fuji International Speedway in the dry, winning only after his 2nd performance tweak (including 200kg of stage 2 weight reduction), I'm more confident than ever (but not certain of course) that my prediction that AI difficulty will increase commensurate with game progression may well be correct.

So, just to gloat a tiny bit:

I predicted the difficulty-progression thing first.
I jointly predicted the engine-swap thing's being reliant on roulette spins first, along with @bnr034.

There. It's on-record now.

If I was right on both counts, kudos to me. If I was wrong, as I said many pages back, I didn't say any of this.

You can get past every car up to third in the first lap of every race. Cars 1 & 2 have more power and more pace, increasing as you get closer to them.

Add onto the fact that at higher levels the 1-2 cars simply start much further ahead - 35s down the road sometimes, compared to 10 at early levels.

When you put a new front and rear bumper on a car is it effecting the handling of the car? I haven't even touched the downforce but I'm just wondering.

Honestly, GT7 is a mixed bag for me so far at least. Coming from GT Sport, I wasn't expecting much aside from a "traditional GT" built upon GT Sport's engine which i didn't mind at all. It's hard to describe my main problem with the game but i shall begin with the GT Cafe itself.

To begin with, the progression system felt a bit tedious. Your main goal is to basically collect x cars through winning single race, championships or even just outright buying them. It sounds fine on paper but in reality, you're basically thrown into a single race where you race against dead A.Is that's way ahead of you on the track...over and over again. Even in the hardest difficulty, the races still feels like a snoozefest.

Between each collection chapter, the game tells you to do trivial tasks like washing your car and tuning it up or to do something like completing License Tests.

Now rinse and repeat as you're going to have to do that repeatedly just to unlock things like the Brand Central, GT Auto, Tuning Shops, Scapes, Online mode and others. Maybe it's just the beginning and this is basically a tutorial level but I honestly don't get it. Why couldn't Polyphony just open all that things up, right in the beginning of the game? I should be free to race my friends online, complete Clubsport races or modify my cars how i want whenever i want.

More nitpicky rants...

Is it just me or they slightly changed the physics from GT Sport? Maybe I'm just not used to the new physics but i find some cars to be ridiculously understeery or snappy. Again it's probably just me not being used to the new system.

Oh and yeah, for whatever reason, I can't fully loosen up the camera in GT7 like i used to be able to in GT Sport. Yeah the option is still there but it still feels a bit too stiff to my liking's.

On the other hand, i like some things like the car models, wonderful graphics and main menu soundtrack even though half of them are from previous PS3 Era GT's.

Now i have to go back and gold that 4th super license tests. Cya lol

Indeed.

"These AI are small. But the AI out there, those are far away"

I am having a tough time with the GT3 cup challenges I’m not going to front. I also don’t add any upgrades to my car I’m using the Gt500 Supra on racing hards and just ABS weak on. I am a cheap man but I don’t know might have to buy at least medium race tires.. I can tell you that In GTS this was never the case I could use the worst tires and detune the car and still smoke the AI… it’s comparable to the cafe races.
