Anyone notice that AI car’s sound positioning is off? Seems like the car sound is a bit behind the actual car positioning, so sometimes will be next to you but based on sound you’d think you already passed it. This is with headphones and 3D audio and audio settings on 7.1. Maybe we are supposed to use stereo instead?
I noted that too, same settings as you, we must try stereo

I'm talking about all tracks I've tried, when I go over the rumble strips there is no rumble noise at all, just the gravely noise. I've tried changing the sound to just stereo incase it's my surround sound system but it's the same effect, I'll try it with the TV speakers and see if the rumble sound is there later.
Are you sure you're not just smacking the bottom of the car across it and hearing that?

Spa dry to wet race 911 championship what tires to start on? it's monsoon conditions on the last lap was fricken robbed.
I've been doing they start dry races then rains on full wets, couldnt drive my porsche without crashing on slicks even when it says no surface water, handles much better on wets, came 2nd at nurby but hey ho passing the test is all I wanted for now.

The headlight cover difference is reproduced (look closely), but unfortunately the taillight color difference is not.
The frame(?) part should be darker on '95, while it's the same color as the brake light on '98.

I wish I could've had more time to play since it came out, but I've put in about 15 hours so far and have some thoughts.

First, physics are terrific. Cars feel more challenging to drive, and you can really feel the weight (or lack thereof) even with a controller. I feel like they respond much better to modifications and tweaks, and testing and tuning is easier because of it. Customization is excellent, too, and I love being able to buy individual components again. I'm also extremely happy to see such a focus on aesthetic mods finally.

AI is not as bad as a lot of people made it out to be. I'm not a racer, but I find it challenging enough, and it seems to actually have some semblance of spatial awareness, finally. You do still see the random braking in the middle of turns for no reason, though.

I don't mind that so much of the game is based on progression in GT Cafe. Yes, there are menus that I just could not care any less about and are more of a slog to get through, but overall I like that not everything is just given to you from the start. I'm used to having to put in some work in GT games, so this suits me just fine. I also like that the game puts such a focus on educating new players about cars and automotive history. A lot of people got into cars because of GT, and it's good to see PD embracing that fact and helping to grow the car hobby in a non-toxic way.

I do get the complaints about lack of credits, though. I don't care about supercars or the 20m credit cars, so it's not as big of a deal for me, but you do actually have to put in quite a lot of work to get money. It's not as bad as it could be, though, and honestly it's no worse than it was in GT4 for example, but if you're used to games like Horizon that just give you everything from the start, you will be disappointed.

I do wish that we could sell cars. Even if we don't get much for them, it would be better than nothing. I've got a bunch of muscle cars clogging up my garage right now that I should be able to sell for a little bit of money, but instead can't do anything with. Even having something like a stockyard feature would be nice.

Graphics are good. I'm on a base PS4 so it's nothing earth-shattering, but the game still looks great. Load times are horrible, though. It's enough to make me want a PS5 just to avoid them. I mostly just tune cars so I'm always in and out of the garage, tuning shop, GT Auto, and Tsukuba Circuit so it's really noticeable for me. I'm able to get used to them, but still, they really suck.

Overall, I feel like this game is everything I had hoped it would be. There's a TON of content, the car list is great, and PD fixed the right things and kept what wasn't broken. It actually feels like a numbered Gran Turismo title should feel, and I'm excited to see what the future holds for this game in terms of updates and DLC.

Ok so I don't know if it's just me but oval racing on this game feels terrible. At least with high speed cars. I don't know how to describe it. My wheel feels stiff and if I turn even just a little bit the car wants to spin out. I can't be aggressive with the wheel. If I'm running at the top at stage x for example and I wanna drop down low it's impossible to do because I'm gonna spin. It feels like when I turn the wheel wants to center itself back out. This is only a issue at oval tracks with high speed cars. Mainly Daytona and stage x. Is anyone else having this issue? It could be my wheel settings but I don't wanna touch that because it feels fine when I do road courses. I don't understand what to do because I really do enjoy driving at Daytona and stage x and if it's gonna be feeling like that then I don't think I wanna drive at those tracks. I'm using a thrustmaster t300rs btw.

I kinda just keep it at the "slip angle" and hold the slide, it's pretty fun, especially in a fully-tuned E30
Yeah I was enjoying that with my Camaro ZL1 but I tuned it even more and it went from a barely controllable monster to a totally uncontrollable beast and I forgot what upgrades I did so I don't know how to get it back. 😥

Does anyone know what the bronze and gold reward cars are for all the mission challenges? Just so I am sure which cars to avoid purchasing from Brand Central / UCD.

The championship races have different weather each time you run them (from what I've seen) so it's impossible to know. I did those races with sports soft.

So I’m pretty cheap, well at least in the beginning when playing GT.. I normally don’t buy any cars unless I have to, example for my GT3 cup league. Had to get the 911 GT3rs and spec it to league standards. Other than that i normally just use the cars I win to beat the races to get money.

I’m doing the Fuji Japanese ClubmanCup with my 370z bone stock… it’s raining pretty good through the track event… I must of spun at least 4 times… I’m pretty madd now and I won’t cave in to buy upgrades… so I just chill leave the game the race menus start cleaning not thinking nothing of it I look at the screen and I see the raining stoped. I run in my cockpit start the race and it’s pretty dry.. I’m in fourth last lap and right when I catch 3rd the rain started to come down! I was already done with the race though. It was really cool.. makes the track and events come alive which has been missing in GT.

I think adding all aero parts and then increase the downforce manually front and rear will definitely help!

Downforce is maxed out. If anyone could give me some tips to keep this monster under control it would be appreciated. 👍

How does the wet tire meter work? Is it like a cup, where the more it fills up, the less grip?

I have no idea. My rain runs have been so random.
Yes.

Has anyone figured out which carbon "paint" chip can be used just on single parts and not the whole car yet?

I would start by decreasing the anti-roll stiffness in the rear and softening the suspension up a little bit. Also give it more positive camber in the front and rear, I would suggest starting with 1.5 up front and 2.0 in the rear and see how it feels. Fiddling with the diff settings should also help a lot.

You mean negative camber. 😉
