Used the Tomahawk for the 24 minutes of Le Mans mission and the screen shake when you're braking with one wheel on the curb at night in the rain when the air brake flaps open is unreal. šŸ˜‚

Has anyone driven the Red Bull X2019 here? When it gets to around 300km/h it stops responding to my steering inputs and it almost feels like starts aquaplaning (even though it's dry) and it feel like the front wheel are lifed off the ground.

I haven't messed with the stock setup or anything but I'm doing the 24 minutes of Le Mans mission and I just noticed this.

EDIT: Tried the X2014 for comparison and it works just fine, but something is up about the X2019.

Started using the "offset" cockpit option. Gives a wider FOV and the angle makes it quite immersive for me.

The offset camera is really interesting. It takes down getting use to buy I really like it. If your playing with a wheel you have to realign it depending if youā€™re driving a left or right handed car but itā€™s pretty awesome.

and the cars that it fits.
That's your current car and the cars for which you have specific parts. There's a different screen for engine compatibility when you select the engine. But only if you have the cars for which it's compatible.

The rubber banding is ridiculous. In the oval race with the trucks you can catch the leader and pass him easily then the whole pack start to do 4 seconds a lap faster and keep ramming me off the track
I guarantee you, there is no rubberbanding.. ive done some crazy testing on this.

They do draft and over take each other and draft some more.. ive done that race nearly 10times out of curiosity.

Ive done pp change tests.. low and overkill.
Slowing down, half a lap back to full on racing.

They don't change pace unless they are getting pulled along

Thatā€™s good to hear! :)

Not too surprising though, most real world racing series that used a super-soft compound have stopped using them in the last few years so they're not really a thing anymore. Outside of the super insane hypercars, I don't see them being that much more useful than just softs anyway.
V8 Supercars uses one.

Server maintenance overnight tonight. I'll be curious to see what they're doing.
Bugs.

Good looks @Vspectra I took your advice on wobble 2 cam and Iā€™m amazing how good it is.. takes some time getting use to but it feels like your actually driving on the track! The perspective you get from that view is awesome! You can see so much change in the elevation in that view makes every track that more unique!

Wishful thinking but I'd wish they could add some new events, nothing special, just some more races.
It certainly is wishful thinking, considering the game has been out six days.

While some of us on gtplanet have racked up 50+ hours and completed the game, the vast majority of gamers out there will probably have played a grand total of 5-10 hours so far, and will still have an overwhelming number of events, licenses and missions to try.

I'm really loving the game overall, but I'm running into a couple little frustrations. I really want to adjust throttle input to get rid of that big deadzone at the top end. So many times I try to feather thinking I'm giving half throttle then I look down and the meter is at about 85-90 percent. No wonder I keep burning the tires. And after the meter touches 100% there is still plenty of travel left on the trigger. No good.

To compound the throttle issue is racing AI with rwd cars. I notice in rain events that the AI pace is only affected in braking and cornering. When I'm side by side with an AI on the exit of a slow corner and I have to manage the grip of my rear tires, they just launch off like a rocket. And I'm not spinning the tires either; I'm talking getting the best acceleration the wet track will allow for me. This is especially frustrating with their wonky driving habits when they practically park at the apex and you have to slow much more than you really need to. They aren't affected because they have all the grip still while you're stuck trying not to lose places.

Finally, I don't like rubberbanding. It's terrible. Quite a few times I'll enter a race and feel pretty good about how quickly the gap to the lead is tumbling, just to realize that once I'm within 5 seconds of the leader there is no way I can catch them with my current car. I didn't notice how bad it was until I got to races that limit your performance points. If the AI can keep a pace that fast, then just ditch the rubberbanding all together and bunch up the field. Fighting through a pack cleanly will take just as much time and effort as chasing down a 45-second gap while passing a car every other corner would.

I feel later they will add more events down the line, but as you said we are racking up! I know I am I took the whole week off šŸ˜‚

The Porsches . . . when you figure out how to control them, they are so much fun to throw around
The 930 was the first car I mastered! As soon as Iā€™m done with going through the game, getting my league cars set up, and some expensive machines me and the 930 are going to spend some quality time together!

Not really.

The Tundra I was using would do 141 by itself with that speed limit being drag limited.

As soon as you'd get into the draft of a pack it would get to over 160mph before I'd duck out and pass them all.

If they're in a pack all drafting off each other they're gonna catch you like a sitting duck if you have no help.

It seems your results may vary. I play GT7 with a Fanatec CSW V2 and my DriveHub works right out of the gate with no issues. Just make sure you get the Hori Minipad PS4 controller as well.
I am using a similar setup (CSL Elite 1.1, Hori Minipad, DriveHub) and the setup works... but with caveats. Even without the wheel plugged into the DriveHub (so just the Hori Minipad + DriveHub attached to the PS5) the game will experience significant frame drops despite some aspects of the game not recognizing it (such as Music Rally which continues counting down at x1 speed while the actual driving plays at 0.7-0.8x game speed). Are you having any frame issues with your setup? If not, could you tell me what DriveHub version you are using?

Haven't looked into the torque vectoring part, but can that be used to send all torque to the rear wheels... permanently?

I agree. Wobble 2 is pretty good with it. Only problem is you can't look left or right. When I push my buttons to look left or right it just recenters the camera till I let go.

I hate it with a passion mate. You can do that race and it be different almost every time.

Some times gaps will appear or 2 large groups will form.. ive seen 1 car fall back because he got separated.

I think its great.
Also.... my hatred stems mostly from Motorstorm!!!
Dynamic offline races, that's great and what I would expect nowadaysšŸ‘šŸ˜Š.

What kind of realignment do you have to do?
