I know this isn't really the time to ask about this but i don't recall seeing the CTR Yellowbird or RGT 4.2 in the game. Is this like adding RUF parts to the 911s in the game? or is this a possible hint at future updates?
In what racing game ever (Grand Theft Auto is not a racing game), have you been paid to do a time trial? Next you're going to suggest we get paid to turn on the game, or given a handout for sitting on our asses??
I find it hilarious how you still have the eternal optimism even after it has been incredibly, evidently clear thar Kaz has lied, really since 2005, and will lie and obfuscate to protect himself from criticism about said lying.
To be frank, we have no idea what form of 'higher payout' races are coming. We have no idea what kind of 'difficulty' settings are coming, and it sure as hell isn't going to be Sophy in a suit of shining armour.
To say this with the confidence you have goes to show how easily you are lead.
That was only for the Lewis Hamilton time trials, which is a paid DLC, and I forget what you got for the Red Bull Beat the Pro challenges, limited events.
The regular time trials in GTS didn't give you anything, you just got to place in a global and regional leaderboard.

I'm sorry but no, they ruined it by making it based on the production model 😭 the concept model had cooler headlights and makes the use of the concept wheels more justifiable in my opinion.
Alright, you do you I guess. I personally don't see why it needed to look like the concept car to justify those wheels though when a race car usually has its own distinct wheels over the production car.
Kaz should wake up and start to implement methods that prioritize the "more fun, less grind" concept.
And these are some solutions that can be placed such as:
Economy:
Increasing payouts for most events
Getting rid of pricing cars similar to their real-world counterparts, make them have a ceiling price of Cr. 4,000,000
Bring back the ability to sell cars
Get rid of the "brand invitation" mechanic in Brand Central that is required to buy hypercars
Add the ability to auction cars (new pavilion in the Gran Turismo island)
Gameplay:
I've said time and time again that all the cars in the game need to be implemented as rental cars in the Arcade/Free Play modes (Arcade Race, Time Trial, Custom Race, 2-Player Battle and the offline mode), similar to GT4 when completed, and the Free Play modes of Forza. This way it allows players to just jump in and drive their favorite cars right away, especially with the added incentive of also being able to try cars before buying them in the main campaign mode. They need to be limited however, with the fact that you can only use default car-specific colors/liveries/variations, that they can't be upgraded or customized, that tuning these cars will all be car-specific, based on the default set-up (with all tire compounds available though), and that Credits and Daily Workout progress won't be earned driving rental cars, just to balance things out compared to using cars you've bought and earned in the career mode. Besides the ability to use all over 400+ cars (and more, as DLC cars will also come through updates) as rental cars in the Arcade Modes, we should also be able to drive cars from our Garage too as an option.
Either make the feature stated above similar to GT4 where we start off with a fraction of all the cars in the game, then go on to unlock all the rest permanently as rental cars once obtained (at least once), or all of them immediately like in Forza.
Grinding in a game is literally like eating the same food everyday, where you'll eventually get bored of tasting the same old thing over and over again. Which is why I get bored when I have to grind, and if that's the only option.
Cars in the game are already expensive enough (some of which are ridiculously overpriced, owing to a real-world supply and demand law with hints of inflation), but building a fully-upgraded project car in the game will set you around Cr. 300,000 to Cr. 500,000 for all the performance parts and customization items.
Another is, if you thought that Festival Playlists, Forzathon and other such things in the Forza Horizon games where missing out on events will mean missing out on cars and other things, is bad enough, in GT7, it's so much worse, in fact, that you'll need time-limited brand invitations to at least get the chance to buy hypercars in Brand Central beforehand, as well as the mechanics of how the Used and Legendary Car Dealerships work, with the lineup changing almost everyday in real time (the Legendary Car Dealership's partnership with Hagerty might also adjust prices of the cars in real-time too, meaning that out of nowhere, there is the likely possibility of a car once previously sold being more expensive than when it was sold before, or it could be cheaper, but who knows).
After fixing these problems, Kaz should fix the next problem, which is to address the backlash behind the always-online requirement. Kaz says that this was done out of fears of cheating, hacking and illegal modding, however, this is likely because of the FIA involvement for Sport mode.
I honestly do like a lot of those solutions you've drawn up and I think I suggested them myself on my recent Youtube channel status. Though, I would do things a bit differently from yours.
1. Keep the invitational concept, but tweak it. The cars that are invite-only would be available all of the time, except now you can acquire these cars as a discount at some points. I.E. The Porsche Carrera GT I was invited for would just have its price reduced to 1.15 Million CR instead of 2.3 Million.
2. Lower the price of the legendary cars of course, but down to a max of 10 million credits. I feel like 4 million would make collecting things too quick. The prices though no longer inflate like in real-life.
3. Balance out the prices more with just increasing the event payouts to being 3x what they were at launch. 70,000 credit events would become 210,000 cr. Plus, bring back the slower car bonus like in GT Sport.
4. Include the daily login bonus like in GT5 & 6 for further help.
5. Roulette wheels could include discount cards or something for cars and parts to allow big price decreases on a purchase of your choosing. Which could be used on any car or part in the game.
6. Roulette wheels are adjusted to have a higher likelihood of a great prize.
7. Daily exercises are altered. Instead of earning a roulette wheel just once per day, you now can earn as many as you want. Simply, every 26 miles unlocks you a wheel. Kinda like in Forza Horizon where you got a wheelspin per level up.
8. Roulette wheels can also be earned by winning events you previously won a car in, to further incentivise people to do different races. Either that or you win the same car over and over again like in the early GTs.
9. Cars no matter what are sellable.
Well then, I stand corrected. I only remember doing two laps on a couple of time trial events just for fun and don't remember getting anything for it, not that that was my incentive anyway.
If Kaz really wants to keep the car buying exclusivity, then make it real only for the manufacturers that require it; like Ferrari. Have some snotty requirement that you need to own two Mondials before being able to buy a Testarossa
After you've met Ferrari's ownership requirements, you are sent an invitation to buy a car, like a LaFerrari, at which point you are given the ability to shove it up some virtual manager's ass.

I've been "mechanically" playing the same event over and over again today. Because i want to enjoy all the cars in the game! Fantastic!
Thank you Kaz for filling my heart with joy when i play this game!
When i see a car for example that cost 450000 credits, i now see: that's 10x Fishermans Ranch.
Over the last 95 pages I've seen you post, you've made some decent arguments, and you're more than justified in your frustrations. However, this argument you keep snidely making is childish.
In what racing game ever (Grand Theft Auto is not a racing game), have you been paid to do a time trial? Next you're going to suggest we get paid to turn on the game, or given a handout for sitting on our asses??
It's true, you did earn money in rivals based time trials and Forza or simply running enough laps in GT Sport, but the prizes for doing either wasn't that high. Which makes sense as you're just basically driving around.
Though having them gone feels like a non-issue if anything due to how little of a difference they made.
At first I thought you were referring to just running laps, like you would do Hot Seats in Richard Burns Rally, that's where my main argument came from.
Now, in GTS and Forza, were you paid insane amounts of money where the main incentive for doing them was a monetary reward? No.
You would do them and be surprised you got paid. More of a "that's cool" moment and you would move on. You wouldn't farm credits using time trials, that's absurd.
Are you really that upset that they're not paying you 700-1200 credits just for driving around?? Maybe even less.
If you were to complain about autodrive endurance races in online lobbies no longer being viable, sure, I can get onboard with that. In GTS, if you got 8 people to start the race and back out of the lobby to ensure you got the victory, you would make 5mil by leaving your console on overnight for 12 hours.
I went to Sardegna Windmills to make up the shortfall I needed to buy the 911 GT1. Less painful twisty bits than the Ranch, for more money. I find repeating the same event over and over criminally dull, so I could only hack it for the necessary amount of credits.
Don't know about GTS, but in Forza you are rewarded on a "distance" scale, IE the more laps you do in Rivals mode, the bigger the payout, and it's generally pretty good. Doing 5 laps at Lime Rock will net you less credits than doing 5 laps at Le Mans, for instance.

They made a big enough difference to me. I used to spend hours doing hotlaps around all the tracks in time trial mode in GT Sport and getting paid some chump change for doing so was a really nice incentive. Now that the payout is gone in GT7 I barely touch time trial unless I'm in a competition with my PSN buddies to see who can get the best time.

Okay, that argument failed as well. At least half of it.
In your experience, would you find both games comparable in their economies and how they implement rewards?
I personally don't, because in Forza Motorsport you can get rewarded for simply showing up to a race... in Forza Horizon you get rewarded (in XP at least) for knocking down lamp posts. Obviously, extreme hyperbole, take with a grain of salt.
They're all fun in their own ways. I just find players that come from the Forza franchise a bit more entitled or spoiled. Not to say their arguments aren't valid, because they hit the nail on the head sometimes regarding GT7.

Exactly. I would use the time trial to tune and test a car on the fly without making a lobby, or setup my sim rig and host a hot lap championship with friends and family during parties.
The measly credits were never taken into consideration lol
After doing about 85 laps in a race at Suzuka, I'm going to assume that the ability to get oil stains on your car is completely unimplemented. Car (aside from the dust, again) is completely clean in the pic taken on the last lap of the race.
Yes, it was raining, but it only started a few laps prior and the car was in the same state before it.
If it is in the game, it obviously takes long enough to show up that it may as well not be in the game, because about 0.1% of people are ever going to see it.
What a shame. It's right there in the options... just.. make it show up!
Corvette is also approaching 1000 miles driven and all I've had to do is change the oil a couple of times - shows no signs of needing a wash at all.

Started my first bit of grinding today with the high speed ring. I could only stomach two races. It was so boring with plain idiotic rubber banding and moronic AI. Sorry, but doing that for 3 hours straight isn’t going to happen. I’ll try some other races and see if there’s anything more tolerable but the quickest credit option seems like the most appealing right now.

It's strange nobody talks about brutal rubber banding. I hate it in Forza and here it's the same. It's completely unrealistic. Racing is about consistent lap times.
