To be honest I don't care about that at all. I think it's fine an F1 can cost 18.5mil, skylines push 500k, etc.

It would be nice if the credits we earnt in game somewhat scaled with that though. That's where the issue lies.
What? You don't like that PD wants to remind you how stagnant your IRL wages are that even your dream cars in a virtual space are unobtainable? /s

Exactly.

PD - "Hey, you know how you'll never own a McLaren F1 in real life? Well get ready for our amazing game, where you also can't afford a McLaren F1. Isn't that fun? Don't you think this is enjoyable, games really give you that escape from reality don't they?"

PD - "What's that? You've raised the funds? Oh... well, we've rotated the car out, so you'll have to wait". Wouldn't be an issue in real life. :boggled:

Anyone else got an email from Playstation congratulating for earning the platinum trophy for Gran Turismo 7? I'm not even nowhere near obtaining it 😁

Meh. It's only been two weeks and I ain't in a hurry.
But when are you going to get it, or any of the others? The game will only let you store 20M "free" credits at any one time, so it won't even let you save up a whole bunch of credits so you've got enough ready for when they all come around again, and are again limited to 6 days to buy them.

If you get up to 20M credits in another three weeks you have to spend them, otherwise you can't continue earning any credits. So if the McLaren doesn't come for another three weeks after that, what are you going to do? Throw away any credits you earn the following three weeks, or just not play the game until the car is available again?

And this loop will continue with all the other cars.

McLaren F1 street car into the Legends Dealer today at an eye-watering 18,500,000cr!

Toyota Levin, Ruf CTR3, Murcielago LP640, and the Abarth 500 into the UCD.
The fact they won’t let us sell cars we don’t want or intend to use is absolutely sickening in light of this.

Too late for refund, so I’m gonna tick over getting the 26m daily roulette now and again and basically forget about trying to do anything in this game until they come to their senses, if ever they do. Lesson learned, GT isn’t something I can afford to waste time on any more.

What's the best credit grinding method right now, one million-ish per hour?

That's literally 19 hours of loading and driving the same laps over and over and over and over and over and over. At BEST.
For ONE car!

Surely even PD can see that's a bit busted. It'd be faster to get a job and pay for credits than it would be to earn it in game.

This is by far, one of the most bizarre game design choices I've seen brought up. And then I read someone in another thread share that if you were to buy credits through a MXT, those can go over the free credits cap. Because as if anyone needed any more reasons to see how the game has been influenced by microtransactions.

Yes indeed. Unlimited Paid Credits, 20M Free Credits.

The fact they even call them "free" credits in the first place says it all. That they think you were generously given them for free, by doing nothing.

To be entirely honest, I'm just waiting until the GTR shows up.

or I can just not

Prolly buy whatever used **** shows up if I'm interested in it.

Why do I need the other cars? I ain't using em and I doubt most people are either.

Karts are very fun to drive this time. And so is the formula and the Mazda cup car.

Been having some fun with custom races. It’s a shame we don’t have all the options we do in online lobbies for tire choices and BoP.

I'm going to hold my judgement until the next update comes around.

If they haven't fixed the economy, and implemented the ability to sell cars (as written on the back of the 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 box and PSN game page), ability to gift cars, and added more events then I'm just moving to PC.

God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Days Gone all came to PC, with their sequels scheduled to release on PC as well (except for Days Gone).

Which means I won't even need a PS5, and I can play the other games I want to on an emulator.

Right, I'm sure you'll just play the game for days or weeks not earning a single credit for anything you do.

So you....don't want the cars in a car game and other people don't either?

This "I Don't care personally so it doesn't matter" attitude is a strange one.

Wow. I have grinded plenty, said like 18,7? Mil spent on buying cars. Yeah, not bothering with that one 👋

Here’s my take:

PD ideally want people to play Gran Turismo titles over a long period of time. With a good few years between launches, there’s enough time in between to fill. GT is played over months or years, but this game has been out for two weeks.

In GT6 for example, a player could buy 600 cars and there would be another 600 to go. In GT7, someone would collect all 400+ cars and think “now what?”

Now I’m not a fan of how expensive it is. However I’m not as affected as most as I’ve been moving house so I haven’t been able to play since day one, but I’m sure the price is reflective on keeping the longevity with very few cars.

Not everyone’s cup of tea, but hopefully with more vehicles introduced the higher the payouts will be

There is a bunch of content in this game that I'm sure much of the playerbase has no interest in ever interacting with, but you don't see me bothering them about it.

The Legendary Car Dealership reminds me of GTPSP's dealership cycle actually. You could only buy from 4 dealerships at a time and up to 20 cars per make. After 2 in-game days, the makes would switch until a full cycle occured. This sounds exactly like that, except it's real-world time.
