The logic is that you don't know when the car will return, so if you want the body to return to normal now rather than potentially months in the future... pay up.

They definitely are. My brother in law just had engine issues in his Chevy truck. He ended up getting it repaired (with a $3600 bill). One of his options, if it ended up being cams damaged, or something like that, was to buy a new engine since the truck isn't that old. The crate engine from Chevy was going to be $12,000 CAD. Probably on the cheaper side, as engines can cost a lot more, but not as much as in game

If anything, they seem to be based loosely on the Japanese Yen, which makes more sense.

Onto real life, $12,000 for a new truck engine? Damn, might as well buy a new truck.

Maybe so but 20m credits for a new body seems wayyyyy excessive - I’m not saying it should be cheap cause it’s an extremely expensive car but even half the price would have been slightly more reasonable (I’m not sure what would be a good compromise between PD and players tbh).

Oh I know it's excessive. PD knows it's excessive. It's very deliberate.

I am aware, yes. I was using it as an example and decided to clarify which currency I was speaking about.

But......I don't think it's in yen. I can't buy a decent new vehicle over here for $250

Anyone know how much the CLK GTR will be? I've seen 8 mil and 8.5 mil.

I'm sitting at about 2.5 mil right now and will be trying to save enough for the CLK GTR before it comes out. It's the one legendary car I really wanted since the beginning. Bought the F40 & 911 GT1 thus far but might have to start pinching my pennies. If the CLK GTR dropped tomorrow I wouldn't be getting 6 mil credits before it was gone.

It's the only way to get rid of permanent body changes like weight reduction and widebody mods.

Logic is, at least I think so 🤔 About 2 mil lost in value of the car, compared to a new body? Legend car Porsche is 18M with approximately 8000 km driven on its body.

Pristine, new and somehow completely flawless original 917K body with 0km on it is therefore a little more expensive (2M more, 18M + 2M = 20M).

I had just passed the Ford Mustang menu book, then had no internet as I’ve been moving house. I’ve finally done the update and now it’s asking me to configure the brightness settings and is sending me to do the Music Rally all over again…

I think my next ""grind"" will be a spare million to buy the Porsche VGT. That thing is gorgeous, do wish it was an ICE powered hybrid though. Currently sitting on 3m but wanting to keep a spare few mil for when things like the Pennzoil GT-R come around.

Whoever designed the economy for this game must have previously worked for a f2p mobile studio. It's honestly one of the worst systems I've ever seen.
