Whoever designed the economy for this game must have previously worked for a f2p mobile studio. It's honestly one of the worst systems I've ever seen.

It's basically the same as Sport was when it launched and Sport didn't even have the option to buy cars or credits with real money.

I received my PS5 with GT7 last Friday and played the crap out of it on the weekend. I'm really enjoying the racing and physics so far, aside from the low payouts for races, I want PD to add some things:

1) A button to toggle HUD on/off like in Project CARS or Driveclub, how is this still not a thing??

2) I want to see the paint on the freaking car that I want to paint before I buy it, who at PD though it was a good idea to use 3 show cars for this?

3) Why is weight reduction permanent and can't be reversed??

Some very weird design choices for an otherwise potentially brilliant game.
1. Never played, don't know
2. Absofrigginlutely this. Or go back to mileage points like GTS and get the paints that way.
3. I can't remember exactly what happens at each stage, but I guess the early stages (taking out rear seats sort of thing) could be reversible. It's just easier for PD if it isn't, plus they get to sell you ballast. Later stages involving things like chopping out a steel roof and replacing it with aluminium, not so much.

Yeah kinda have to. The Daytona race is so boring and hard lol
You can also buy the F150, but since you win it from that Menu Book... no point :D
Probably already been asked somewhere, but anyway, what is the classical piece of music played at the opening movie?
It's not classical music. It's "Nocturne", written by Paul Mauriat in 1966, and performed by "Paul Mauriat and His Grand Orchestra":

This is something I wish was visually represented tbh, even if the work would be monstrous. It's a little jarring when you've done a full or like, 3/4 weight reduction on a street car in the game and it still has a full interior.

Uuuhm.. I streamed yesterday specifically the R32 and the A80 Supra where I played with the anti-lag system and I still saw exhaust flames? So uhm idk maybe a bug?
I checked other gr3 cars when I'm driving there is no flames and the opponents has it...bug or not it sucks big time...add this to massively reduced other effects like smoke and dirt and water spray...s**t it's a massive graphical downgrade for sure...

I think my next ""grind"" will be a spare million to buy the Porsche VGT. That thing is gorgeous, do wish it was an ICE powered hybrid though. Currently sitting on 3m but wanting to keep a spare few mil for when things like the Pennzoil GT-R come around.

I bought the 25AE version of he game and basically want to keep my credits from ever going below the 25AE credit bonus.
Me too, refuse to go below 1.6m

It's even more annoying when you consider that the different silencers and brakes are modelled but they can't take the rear seats out of the interior. Which somebody had to put there in the first place.

Instead of having all these legendary cars, I wished they focused on updating the car roster a bit. Yes there are a few cars from the last 2-3 years that have been added but a huge chunk of the cars in this game are mostly 2015 and older which are basically recycled from GT Sport. Why have Tesla when all you're gonna have in game is a 2012 P85? Or maybe updating a lot of the GR. 3 cars with more current GT cars? We're still driving around in a 458 GR.3 when there's an F8 Tributo in game. Another example is how the newest Mclaren roadcar we have in game is a 650S.

Sorry guys but I have been suspended from the psn for 1 week. I was curious did GT credit our accounts with some bonus credits for the outage? At the bare minimum they did this?

I've spent 1.2 million credits on tuning, now everything is BOP. What's that?!?!

kaz will only give us 3 tracks a week to race on. They wouldn’t dare give us more options.

I'm not 100% sure if the seats and such are actually modeled separately from the interior trim and such or if it's all one big mesh tbh. That said it's quite amusing that when you add a roll cage to the AE86, where the rear down tubes meet the rear seat bolsters, they've modeled in a plastic grommet to the seat for the tube to pass through.

This should have been expected and is all on you. They won't throw a Gr.3 race in official capacity with full tuned out of spec cars.

Hello, I just subscribed to the forum, I would ask if anyone encountered data loss. Apparently, it happened also before 1.07 but after the server status was restored I saw like 20 people on reddit reporting that they lost everything after logging back in, or logging back in after being disconnected somehow. Sounds bad and I wonder how to report this bug to the developers despite sending it on twitter. This is the issue Im talking about

That's the question really. Did they model the bits of the interiors, in which case they ought to able to remove bits, or is it just one big mesh (steering wheel excepted)? In which case, the version with a roll cage is also a complete mesh but a totally different one. I guess it comes down to which is the most efficient.

I don't know that much about how always online works, but I assume all your save data is stored with Sony, in the cloud, and should have nothing to do with hardware. Make sure you formally ask for support from PD/Sony. A phonecall would be what I'd do to start, there's most likely nothing anyone on here can do

Yes the savedata is in the cloud. Okay I "found" the solution. I just link the reddit thread I made for those who encounter the issue, in case users here experience it:

Hahaha just checked my profile and I've driven 48 hours on track since launch.

Credits earnt is a measly 14 million. Not even enough for one of the new legends cars. Incredible.

This'll come from mostly doing custom races & sport mode, which both pay a grand total of Basically Nothing

Weight reduction is kinda permanent IRL
I don't see how? If I take off the hood/bonnet and replace it with a carbon one, what's stopping me from taking off the carbon one and putting back on the factory one? Same goes for racing seats, racing driving wheels, etc.

When you get to a certain point though you're taking a hole saw to parts of the chassis and such and replacing things like quarter panels and roof panels with other materials. That's where the "new body" portion comes in.

That might be the case in reality however GT doesn't seem to visually simulate any of that... so the whole concept of weight reduction in GT doesn't make logical sense. Which is why I hardly ever use that feature. And when I do use it it's usually only upgrade stage one, which I then buy a ballast and add about 80-90 percent of the weight back. Why? because I like to simulate the weight reduction of my cars that visually have bumpers removed and/or a carbon hood... if that makes sense.

It's a very "deep level" change, you're not simply removing parts and tearing interiors out, you're actually replacing a lot of the materials being used in the car and changing the "fittings" which held the previous parts in-place to the point you can't actually reverse those changes.
