If I take a car that’s entirely stock, and install a ballast and power limiter, is it still considered tuning? I.e. would that car become ineligible for races where BoP is enabled - and therefore tuning is disabled?

It would remove anything you’ve done to it. BOP would add or remove ballast and power. It’s a poorly thought through situation at the moment which is affecting daily races.

Look out guys! This guy stole this priceless race car straight from the McLaren or BMW museum/showroom it proudly stood! If anyone has any information then don’t hesitate to report! 😂

In all seriousness, clearly that circuit experience additional rewards paid dividends so enjoy the car!
All right, I'll return it to the one of the pilots of this beauty who lives around here... Nelson Piquet! :embarrassed:

What the hell is up with circuit experience at Deep Forest??

The Audi just doesn't feel planted. I'm barely hanging on doing the sectors, I don't know if I can even do the whole lap with that damn car.

The physics in this game are trash and the ridiculous rear end loss and snap over steer mid corner is the most unrealistic "simulation" ever.

PD honestly need to start looking at other games and learning how to make a better physics engine and AI because they just keep doing the same ****** thing over and over again.

I'm not sure how poorly thought-out situation it is. I could see multiple scenarios where it could work, especially with potential limits on power, weight, and/or PP.

For one example, when the eligible cars are either limited to a single model or if the models are identical - such as the Subaru BRZ S '15 and the Toyota 86 '15, or the Corolla Levin and Sprinter Trueno - then they can enable BoP and disable settings to keep the cars as-stock.

Then there's the idea of having multiple models eligible that may be a bit different, but still follow a motif, like the three European classic hatches - the VW Beetle 1200, the Fiat 500F, and the Mini Cooper S '65. In that case, you can leave BoP off, and limit power, weight, and/or PP.

Finally, there are races that use a more formal group of cars, specifically Gr.4/Gr.3/Gr.2/Gr.1/Gr.B, in which case I'd always have BoP enabled, but on top of this, I might have more races that restrict players to a specific group of cars, like how in GT Sport, there were Gr.1 races that limited players to using Group C cars. I'd also potentially permit a few more races that enable settings while keeping BoP on, so that if somebody feels their car of choice isn't ideal, they can modify the gear ratios or downforce, for examples, to make it more competitive.

Could someone have a go at the driving mission slipstream in beyond the horizon and confirm to me it is actually possible to get gold on the current update? I cannot get more than 154.7mph no matter what I do, spent hours on it. Different lines, holding back for half a second at the start to try and not catch the last car before the line. I’m using a wheel and super smooth, movement on the wheel is almost imperceptible. I usually gold most missions and licenses without much trouble. I’m starting to wonder if this mission has been broken with an update. I see a lot of people last month mentioning it should have been done with wind in your favour and now there is 0 wind.

I find Catalunya sector 3 also very hard... first obviously this part of the track is absolutely terrible, and I never understood how to go around that chicane before the last corner to the straight line. I probably spent already 1 hour on that sector only.

The Huracan is a pretty good car though.
I just got gold on this today and I mean it was just by an inch lol. 😂 The lambo was pretty mean to me!

And that'd be still a proof about how inept PD is, that they're dependent on copying the other games/devs to make actually good stuff.

They're always doing the same thing over and over again because GT has always been a terrible game that hides behind car culture appeal (but not a game) and design choices that is always swept under the rug. Thus they never change anything but those are just exposed now.

Feeling a little frustrated after two tries of the one hour MX5 TC mission. That lead AI rubberbands a bit too hard, even in wet conditions.

Gonna jump back in it with my MX5 tuned up to 217 HP, hopefully that'll reel him in.
Never noticed an ounce of rubberbanding in that race.. as doing consistent 59-1:00 laps and was pulling away from 2nd place till it rained. Only time someone was catching me was when they had Softs compared to my hards. The track favours softer tyres.

ai cars are allowed to be on better setups at times, its not always rubberbanding which i admit is in certain races.

Right now i have 9.000.000, so i am very close to the F1 gtr price and i have a question: is it worth it to buy it? Or i should just save my money to buy other cars in future?

When it comes to legendary cars I feel like you should buy what you desire to own, most of the good cars for their categories are available in Brand Central.

C5 Z06 and the C8 Z06, big yas.
Considering the Z06 C5 ‘04 was a premium in GT6, I wouldn’t be surprised if it appeared in a future update (might bring back the ’00 instead though but who knows) and the Z06 C8 ‘22 seems fairly logical to appear in a future update - even if it takes like a year before they appear.

(Seems - it just feels like the type of new car PD would add later down the line but I haven’t got any specific grounds for it).

The F1gtr was a legitimately useful car in GTS for sport mode. Is it anything other than a novelty in 7?
Well, i don't know, but the f1 gtr that you're talking about is the short tail, that is a gr3 and probably it's still very useful, but what i am talking about is the long tail that is a gr2 car and 2016 gt500 cars are faster, so i'll buy it for the spot that it has in my hart

So... PD's "inept" and GT "has always been a terrible game".
GT7 earns an ire for the UI/UX choices like no shortcuts for menus or License tests, and guess which was the first game PD implemented that update? GT3. No shortcuts from GT2 or License test menu, yet as it's GT3 it's never brought up. But just shows PD has always been doing the same crap even if only GT7 got rightfully bashed for it.

And it's just clear of what they're working on. They constantly ignored the core issues of a racing game like AI (and for older ones, it's covered with rubberbanding), or even the smaller ones like more choices, but they instead adding and working on many nonsense stuff, starting from Photo Mode in GT4, and it still continues until now for GT7's Music Rally. Constantly making questionable choice like that while being blind to the game's problems aren't being inept? And of course they aren't improving anything, just either recycling anything from previous games for "muh nostalgia" or making it worse like Star system in GT6.

They also has been proven to be less competent to other companies, as in PS3 era they also faced the complex architecture, but they managed to make more stellar games while PD is PD. Their obsession to make the best graphics finally bit them in their ass (not that they'd learn though), not going for balance between quality and quantity, focusing to make them future proof while in reality they are not.

Its PP is lower than the 2016 GT500. 2016 GT500 is actually faster than expected and the previous GT500 cars (like 2008) ones are also now leagues above GT3 at 800 range.

Ugh, the Laguna Seca Circuit Experience has beaten me, I can't get a gold on the full lap, I golded the sectors, but not the full lap. and it's driving me completely insane. Spa wasn't this irritating!

It's requiring a certain amount of precision that my stupid fingers just can't do! I hate it and I guess I hate myself for being incapable of doing it!

Thanks for the laugh

I'm starting to become really proud of my collection.
