In GT7, only a few exterior parts (e.g. door mirrors and exhaust) are shared between the Silvia and 180SX (They share the same interior base, though).

And note that the Sileighty now has the rear under spoiler (standard equipment for Sileighty in real life, originally one of the dealer options for 180SX), unlike the one in GT4-6.

I think there were many possibilities that would have made the collector level more valid and enjoyable.
  • Right to purchase exclusive parts: collector level 50
  • Permanent discounted pricing on all upgrade parts: collector level 75
  • Invitations are no longer required: collector level 100
  • Permanent 10% discounted on all VGT/Gr.3/Gr.4/Gr.B cars : collector level 150
  • Only once a day, any car arrives at LCD: collector level 200
For example, if such a system had been unlocked, we would have dreamed them up and started collecting more cars.

For anyone struggle with sector 2 on Deep Forest,
1. set the brakes to 2 in the rear,
left foot brake on a heavy amount of gas in the first corner
2. Eat the track edges and put two tires on/over the strip for the corners before the 1st tunnel
3. 2nd gear - to 3rd gear around the semi circle
4. See step one but if it starts to slide, apply gas (Cook the gas like you're in Formula Drift if you need to) and steer out.
& Brake all the way into the rumble strip and feather 2nd on the exit.

It might help it might not, that's how I did it on pad yesterday and it was still a pain. I spent an hour cutting time down instead of getting gold and leaving yesterday 😂😂
I’ve since done it. I went straight to the full lap and got gold on that pretty quickly. Sector 2 feels more approachable as part of a full lap for some reason. After that I found I was able to go back and sort of pretend it was part of a lap. Had to use TC1 though.
I still contend this particular sector is broken and behaves very strangely indeed.

I think it's more cohesive as part of a full lap because you can kinda go through a little bit slower and use the rest of the track as your places to make up time for the gold time rather than having to just banzai it for the gold sector.

I've never brought something extravagant in any of the previous GT titles that I've played but since i have some good money now, i was wondering if the McLaren F1 GTR is worth it. Or is the Mercedes clk better?

I noticed something slightly interesting within the online's manual for GT7.

Correct me if I'm wrong but room ownership is always fixed in this game. At least it was for me.

Okay the new update is up and the Tomahawk glitch is still working. Maybe PD needs more time to rework the entire PP system. Though i guess there could be some other workarounds for the time being.

Super happy that PD didn't nix using the Tomahawk under 600PP! Glad they finally unlocked all invitations. Bought all the invite cars, and now I have 21M left to spend to have all cars in the dealership, minus the remaining LCD cars. Total cars owned (not including duplicates) is 374. Lastly, a bit disappointed that today we received 3 new Under-1M cars for LCDs. Would have been nice to get at least one that was 2-10M, just so we don't get hit so hard later like we did with the F1 and 917 at the same time.

That was such a pointless update, could they not have just held off on that until the next portion of Aprils update was ready?

I'd expected them to ban the Tomahawk from low PP races. Or at least put a temporary floor on it's PP until they actually fix the calculation.

Speaking of invitations, the way they are implemented right now is really crappy and kind of idiotic, with it being heavily reliant on multi-stage RNGs (you have to hope to get a 4-star or higher ticket, and then it would have to roll to an invite). You're not so much as working towards getting an invite, but rather relying on pure luck.

I think a better way of getting invites is by bringing back Seasonal Events. See, this is where Seasonal Events and Brand Central invites would make the most sense.

As many of you who have played GT5 and GT6 may remember, those games featured Seasonal Events that were constantly updated by PD every week or so. One good reason to bring them back to GT7 is to tie them to the Brand Central invites. You could have a section of the Seasonal Events dedicated to acquiring those invites that refreshes every month or two weeks, i.e. this month would be a Ferrari Challenge, so you have to use a Ferrari for that event, and if you win you would then get an invite from Ferrari. Next month the section would refresh and instead feature Porsche. So bring your own Porsche, win that event, and you get an invite from Porsche, etc etc.

Why wait if it's ready?
Because installing updates on PS4 is inconvenient and hardly feels worth it when the file size is smaller than 200 MB.

Under normal circumstances it could be necessary to patch the game with a small update, but we know a bigger update is planned for this month. So releasing a small patch like this on its own just seems a bit much.

You got a point, forgot about PS4 installs
