Has anyone noticed that when during a night or evening race, if the car ahead is close, only the reflection of 1 headlight appears on the boot!

Even when the race is just ahead, we do see the shadow of the car ahead on the track. But the funny thing is the spot in which the shadow of the car falls is completely black, omitting the illumination of the headlights of that car on the track. As if the car ahead is running without headlights.

Firstly, that's absolute bollocks and you know it. You've been asked to substiantiate this time and again and have failed to do so each time. I can only assume at this point that you're either deliberately lying or deliberately trolling.

More importantly, it's straight up and down wrong. There were two major reviewbombs of the game, firstly from Russians and pro-Russian bots downvoting it for being withdrawn from sale in Russia the day of the launch, and subsequently with the release of 1.07 which took the game offline for 34 hours.

Why do you keep on making up utter rubbish and acting like it's true?
Thank god for ignore button.

The Alpine A220 is a nice little car for the WTC700 . A lot faster in straight lines than the IA cars. Old school driving style, and very light. Light enough to do 10 laps on one tank if you want. Need to try it at Le Mans it's probably a great car there.

When are we getting championships or even just races with limitation on the year of production ? They release 50 / 60 /70 cars but you still compete against Supra, Atenza, just why.... It's just not immersive enough.

I spend a lot of time in circuit experiences but we really need more content ASAP. The Sport mode is not for me in its current state, playing against guys who take it very seriously is really not fun...

I really hope PD add a better way to upload decals. Uploading one is insanely painful. I understand why they went with SVG - vectors are high quality - but when you top the file size limit at 15KB.. yeah it doesn't make sense to me either.

I literally just want to upload a text logo, I don't think it should be this hard.

You're welcome

I think the whole Metacritic bomb was needed. I still get pissed about the fact they intentionally waited with MTX after the reviews came, then waited exactly two more weeks so people had less chance to return their product before reducing the prize money by 50%. They even had the guts to say they had to 'fix the inbalance'.

Sony/PD really had a masterplan where they really thought they could screw us over like little Fortnite kiddos (no offence to Fortinite btw, those microtransactions are fine in my view) and get away with it. I've been gaming for over 25 years and never saw anything like this so obvious so yeah, they completed deserved that backslash.

Who knows, without the drama we wouldn't have those 800k races in half an hour. I regret nothing, it's a sign to not only Sony but other greedy companies like Activision/EA/Ubisoft they should not think lighty about mtx.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE GT7, it's such an amazing game. But greed can screw up great stuff. Glad they fix things.

Why would they add credit packs to PSN during the review period pre-launch? It's not like they would expect reviewers to pay for credits when they got the game for free.

I said why would they not why wouldn't they.

Yes, to me its obvious why they would hide something which is regarded as really bad by the complete gaming industry.

If you don't want to see that, fine, but the question why they would add it becomes quite rhetorical lol.
There is no single reason to add the MTX in the preview copies just because of that. So to answer your question, no reason. Just a different POV. As a buyer I'd think its better to give the reviewers a complete honest look at the game, including stuff like MTX.
Youre looking from the Sony POV.

So frustrations are starting to kick in again.

Ever since last week's update went live and we got the Circuit Experience prize money offerings my in game friends have all been making insane amounts of money and able to buy the expensive cars through Circuit Experience which I have no problem with.

I thought to myself I have time to try one out yesterday and so I picked Colarado Springs as my starter and a rally track I know quite well and it took me the entire day to get the million whilst others in my group complleted 3 of the longer circuit experiences in that day.

Now I am not at all good when it comes to circuit experience, I know it was too easy in GT Sport but it seems the difficutly has really 'shot'up in GT7, I have no problem with that good on you all that can complete them with gold medals.

The purpose of my post as always is need help with settings, I know we can onloy adjust the assist settings but I don't really need those except TC and Brake Balance but what controller sterring seetings should I pick for the pad or leave it on default?

For comparison just to show things have ramped up thw 1lap attack of Colarado Springs in 7 requires a 1.21.xxx whereas in GT Sport it was a 1:35, I know this probably something to do with overall speed settings but it seems a huge difference in time...

Thanks for any advice and if I am the only one struggling with this then I guess I just have to get better...

There is not 1 golden standard for settings. Some friends race with controller sensitivity 1, others with 8. And both are quicker. It's just a matter of preference, just run a few laps with different settings.

Exactly this! The game must be built around it. You want some fun in custom races? No, you need to grind with Tomahawk! Do you want some cool cars? Good luck with circuit experience! :D

Must be some Japanese kind of fun.
I would say you need to learn to drive without TC 🤔 it quite improved my laptime when I got the hang of it
Yeah, circuit experience and licenses are very fun without TC. Definitely not faster.

By properly controlling throttle without the TC I managed to improve my laptime quite a lot, it's way faster when exiting a corner.

I'm looking at it from a logical perspective. MTX aren't taken into consideration in video game reviews as a rule. There are much much much worse offenders when it comes to MTX. Assassin's Creed comes to mind as an example. All sorts of armor sets with perk boosts that are impossible to acquire in game. MTX credits are for people too lazy to spend 20 minutes earning 750,000 so they spend $10 instead. If you're paying for credits you're cheating yourself of the experience of playing the game.

How much did PD pay you for the naming rights on The Human Comedy?

Depends on car, track and conditions in my view.
Exactly. It's probably possible to be faster with some slow car. Hardly with licenses or track experiences. I could be wrong. If I don't use TC, I am usually almost last from my friends. When I enable it I am sometimes first. It's the opposite in Forza. You are almost always faster without everything.

Nah you're deluded. MTX are 100% taken into consideration in reviews, that's why game companies employ low level, scummy tactics of not putting them in until after the reviews hit. They specifically do that BECAUSE reviewers will take it into account.

Gran Turismo 7 isn't the first, and sure as hell won't be the last, and every time it's happened the devs have been dragged over the coals.

In order to prevent that from altering the score of the game. Even on launch anyone could see the economy was built with microtransactions in mind. And then they doubled down on that. The Fallon video showed 50 menu items and races that did not exist at Launch and still don't. Calling this a good game is illogical at best.

Its hilarious that you say MTX arent taken into consideration...

... Immediately followed by a complaint about MTX.

MTX are the talk of the town in the gaming industry man. Ubisoft got their fair share of critics. Every developer is looking for ways to implement it somehow so they don't piss of customers but can make some sort of live services. PD/Sony blatantly already told they want live services games.

Lol yeah people who weren't willing to race 450 laps on a dirt circuit to obtain 1 car are lazy.

Im not a usual visitor in this topic but by judging other people's post it seems like you're a troll or just a blind PD follower. Or maybe both.

I read very few reviews as I find most people writing them have no idea what a review is even supposed to be or a basic understanding of the English language but I have never seen a major publication give a bad review based on MTX implementation unless it's pay to win which GT7 is not.
