I'm curious, do any of the "World Touring Car" events actually have restrictions that are anything close to the real WTC Cup, or other similar TCR series? So power limited to 300-350hp, max 2 litre engine etc? You know, touring cars?

Because it doesn't look like it, and as such, I'm kind perplexed why they used that name for the events.

Fantasy Tomahawk it not enough or what?!

No, it's just anything you can build under the PP limit. WTC 800 has a PP limit of 800, WTC 700 has a limit of 700 PP, etc. Which is why you can use a Tomahawk X in a "touring car" race against stock supercars.

That's what I thought. Guess it's another one to strike up to PD Logic ™ then.

As I say it obviously doesn't really matter, it's just a name, but it would have been nice to actually have TCR races. There are plenty of road cars in the game that could fit the ruleset.

Another solution would be to create another fantasy group like Gr.3 but for other types.

They really should add the option like in Sport where ownership of a lobby changes to someone when the original host leaves. It's so difficult to stay in any lobby for 10 minutes without the host leaving and closing the entire lobby..

I've now collected all cars from UCD / LCD and new car dealership. Now just have to play the waiting game for the remaining 31 cars in the game (either via UCD or LCD). That was a lot of grinding, and I have a cash surplus, so at least the future grinds won't be so time consuming.

I almost won an engine from a 5 star roulette ticket.. instead I won the item before it, a Bugatti invitation - right after PD gives us every invitation.
If that isn't the most frustrating thing ever I don't know what is..

Well, I thought I would stop grinding, but I guess that was temporary. Golding some of those circuit experience events are going to take so much time that it isn't quite the fast money method as I thought it would be. So yeah, back to grinding and happy to know that it's at least easier now than the past and there's more variety with the new events PD released.

I mean, I guess it's temporarily easier to just use the Tomahawk X on Tokyo Expressway, but I honestly don't mind spending extra time using my other cars on the Sardegna Road Course and La Sarthe events. For the Sardenga event, the Mercedes CLK-LM and Mclaren F1 GTR both do the job just fine, the F1 GTR LT especially with its fuel usage. It can last a good 7-8 laps between pitstops. For La Sarthe, the Nissan Silvia TC with a high rpm turbocharger does the job well along with the Supra JGTC.

I really hope PD add a better way to upload decals. Uploading one is insanely painful. I understand why they went with SVG - vectors are high quality - but when you top the file size limit at 15KB.. yeah it doesn't make sense to me either.

I literally just want to upload a text logo, I don't think it should be this hard.

The game is terrific.
To some yes, but to most no.

The other 10% were just complaining about not being able to buy every car in the game within the first month.
Firstly, that's absolute bollocks and you know it. You've been asked to substiantiate this time and again and have failed to do so each time. I can only assume at this point that you're either deliberately lying or deliberately trolling.

More importantly, it's straight up and down wrong. There were two major reviewbombs of the game, firstly from Russians and pro-Russian bots downvoting it for being withdrawn from sale in Russia the day of the launch, and subsequently with the release of 1.07 which took the game offline for 34 hours.

Why do you keep on making up utter rubbish and acting like it's true?

I can understand the frustration, but it is in practice a simple task for the bit that PD has control over. I've had a few beers, had to hold my phone with one hand, one finger type and I made a text decal for one of my DTM cars in less than 1 minute 52 seconds - had I had both hands, I reckon sub 30 seconds is realistic....

... I made a terrible video to demonstrate this ...

90% of the people giving it a bad review never played it. The other 10% were just complaining about not being able to buy every car in the game within the first month.
I am part of that "10%" and am also complaining about the inconsistent track boundaries and penalty system, the poorly implemented systems to purchase vehicles (and how some people can't do "Daily" race A), the "Daily" races really being weekly, no way to sell vehicles, online connectivity needed for most features, online lobbies missing features, the broken performance point system, the unbalanced Balance of Performance system, and many other problems as well.

There's a plethora of other problems besides just the game 'economy' and you know that.
Like any other racing game tough 2/10 is just plain stupid. Im happy that review bombing happened as we got great patch 1.11 but would be nice if majority of this reviewers bother to change score now as most common reason for 0/10 was economy forcing microtransactions.

I have to question this 'To some Yes, but to most No' bit .... My theory on this is that now everyone has a platform (the internet) to express their disappointment or anger or whatever, you will find a lot of like minded individuals and because all you see is these people with similar complaints or opinions you start to think you are the majority ?

I guess to use what you posted as a example, lets just say GT7 sold a million copies, you see 10,000 people giving bad reviews, work the percentages out, the bad reviews and complaints are still no way near the majority !
But because we have the platforms now to express these complaints, all you will see is negativity and will make you think you are the majority ... The rest of 990,000 people (using my 1mil example) are at home playing happily.

Now don't get me wrong, I don't think GT7 is a perfect game, but at the same time I think this is one of the best versions yet ! I haven't enjoyed GT this much since GT5 (my opinion, I know GT5 wasn't too well received).

Welp, I now learned my lesson on the La Sarthe TC 700 race. The Tomahawk can't make this faster, I made the mistake thinking that the 30-minute timer would have to run out for slower cars and if your car was fast enough, you would only do 8 laps. I assumed that because this race listed 8 laps as the total laps on its event card. Nope, it doesn't matter; the 30 minute timer still has to run out.

I ended up stopping right before the start/finish line on lap 9 to wait out the timer to avoid doing 10 laps.

EDIT: Side-note, I didn't have enough time to get the money for the older 300SL sadly, I was short by 600,000cr. I did get the Aston Martin DB3S and Abart B.A.T. though before they ran out of stock. and I have money left for the other cars there except for the 250 GTO. That can wait I guess, I'm not really in a hurry to collect that.

Optimism can be a very dangerous thing if that's ALL you live on (That and blind acceptance).
:(

Come on mate, optimism can do you a lot of good (particularly when you're living with a chronic illness) and is in no way dangerous. Blind acceptance is though.

I'm not saying Optimism is bad overall. Like many things though, it all depends on how you use it and depending on how you use it, it can be a dangerous thing. I'm very much against overwhelming negativity don't get me wrong, but I'm also against being so positive that you willingly choose to ignore the reality of a situation even when the truth is in front of you or to even the detriment of your own well-being.

Let's be real here, the only people that do this sort of thing are of course the people that are going to voice their displeasure. Would all of you be rushing to give it a good rating if you were enjoying the game? Unlikely. That's just how it works.

And the chances that most of those negative reviewers will go back and update their score when the game is "good" again is also very small.
