Too bad that the Cobra Daytona Coupe in GT7 is still not painted in Guardsman Blue Poly.
Fortunately we can use the exact paint chip to it, though.

Watching the WEC Spa 24H(red flag at the moment). Can’t help to think we could have had the SCG LMH, in the game, versus the GR010.

It's a constant problem PD creates for themselves, adding cars which have little to no natural competition.

Games with far smaller car lists have far better competition among them because they pick and choose their cars wisely.

BTW. Is there any insight when we will get another update? It would be nice to see more events even without new cars and tracks... I hope they will add 30 minutes or 1 hour WTC events for every track. I love this SPA 24h race or Sardenga 15 laps.
If they're following the Sport model for updates, end of may should have another meaty update, with maybe some smaller ones across the ones.

Honestly, having natural competition is the least of this games issue when it comes to AI grids. I just did the 1 hour endurance race on Spa, and having a grid of entirely GT3 cars in a 800PP race is possibly the most dull a grid of competition can get when the entire point of PP should be offering diverse competition. If the balancing is dictated by PP, the races should at least have some old GT1 cars in there and some SuperGT cars thrown in balanced down to 800PP.... and not having the old Gr.3 SuperGT cars is inexcusable.

I hate the wall collision penalties, I already feel punished enough when being slammed into a wall. Adding a 5-second penalty on top of that just feels like rubbing salt into the wound.
Never understood why they give penalties for it when realistically you're only crashing against a wall if either

a) you got punted off and are gonna lose time and most definitely shouldn't be penalized
b) you missed a braking point and are gonna lose time regardless

The penalty system is definitely able to differentiate between grinding a wall and crashing so the crashing penalty should be taken out imo. I guess the idea is preventing a scenario where crashing is faster than driving normally but outside of Tokyo I can't think of many places where that's the case.

It is presumably to counter wall riding but as usual PD have taken a sledgehammer approach. There are only certain corners that need such a penalty, not all of them.

That's basically what I assumed the whole time, like in Forza Horizon 4 & 5. It was stupid in those games and it's stupid here. I HATE IT!

On the scale of unlikely things to happen, that's pretty close to having a mission based on an Americas Cup stage, using pedalos.
Hey, the balloon tyres, on the LRV, are pretty close. :sly:

I mean, it’s mimicking the Spa 24H. That’s GT3 only. Though there are some other cool endurance races, at Spa, with multi-classes. I think those are less than 24H though.
Anyway, sure, it’s a game. The 30 minutes at La Sartre, with Gr.4 cars, does not exist as a GT4 event. That could have been set up for other cars, but maybe we’ll get that “24H” race, when the GR010 arrives. Hopefully, with a multi-class.

Yeah but again, the penalty system seems to be able to differentiate the two. Griding a wall will give you a much bigger penalty than a hit which is almost always an instant 5 sec penalty.

Just did a one hour custom “race” at the Nordschliefe. Random weather, random cars and me using a stock C4 ZR1, starting mid grid, for a widespread rolling start. HUD Off.

Had to be the most calming drive I’ve ever experienced in the franchise. Rain and wet track at the start. Rain stopped after the first lap. Sun rising beneath the clouds, track drying, a C63 and AMG GT R close up quickly behind me for overtakes.
Caught up to a Toyota 2000GT Fuji replica and an EK TC. Swapped places a few times during the middle of the lap and I pulled away on the straight.
Rain came back, but heavier this time. Slowing us all right down. Put the four ways on and caught up to a NISMO GT-R and 911 GT1. Stayed behind the, until time ran out. Good stuff.

Imagine you can save scenarios like in any other game. Even Grid can do it.

Very nice, i love creating scenarios in gt7, yesterday i recreated the last Laps of the 1998 Suzuka 1000km creating a Battle between my f1 gtr and a clk-lm, all of this during night and with some slower cars to lap.
Everyrhing with wobble 2 and no HUD, it was beatiful.

Just got kicked offline. When I load the game back up its showing a GT logo spinning. What's weird when i turn my ps5 on it was showing that it was a conflict with uploading my save data or whatever and then it showed if I wanted to save it to the console storage or the cloud. I selected the console storage. I'm confused right now. When I go to save management for GT7 it's not even loading. Wtf is going on?

Edit: I reset my game and it's fixed. For now. That was weird
