I just found out that an electric vehicle is actually being recharged when going into the pits. Makes me wonder all the more why you can only have a one make race when going into custom races with an EV...

The 240ZG has the optional rear spoiler unlike until in GT6.

the Mclaren VGT gr1 and the lambo v12 can win the events
I threw my mil at the Lexus. Two firsts and a second. The second, at Deep Forest, was by less than 5 seconds in the end and was entirely down to me never having driven the reverse course before. I spent a lot of time not entirely on the tarmac. And not pointing the right way 🤣. Anyway, the Lexus was definitely a good choice and it looks great with the colourchange brush strokes too.

I saw someone talking about clearing the cache and after that it worked again. Not sure who it was, but try that.
This worked for me last time I had the same problem

It was also at just a fraction under the 850PP limit as bought, so I didn't have to fiddle with anything. I didn't even tweak the downforce, come to think of it. I might head back to Deep Forest and give that another go.

I got home at lunch to discover

NEW MENUS!!

OK, only three, but still something new to do. Started on the K Car one - any advice? Not all 400PP cars are created equal apparently because I can't seem to make much progress. I'd already bought the Capuccino when it appeared in the secondhand shop. It's now got aero, a turbo and better brakes but I'm still struggling. Or maybe they are all equal, so starting from 16th is a bit of a problem
As you were, sorted (I may have taken a couple of shortcuts at Willow Springs).

New menu books are fun so far. Had a good few races in my Cappuccino tonight. Next up is the VGT race, no idea what to buy for that though, so easy to drop 1mil on a dud! Anyone had a go at this and able to advise on a reasonable purchase for the event?
I used the Porsche VGT and it's pretty much impossible to lose with it. Just don't get greedy on turns and wait for the straights to overtake because it smokes just about every other of the VGTs from the events on straightline speed.

Oh that's a good shout, I'd almost forgotten about the Porsche VGT!

Like @permaculture said, the Lambo VGT does it. Blows by even the Porsche on the straights, but it handles like poop. The suspension (except for camber) and aero are adjustable, but not the trans or the differential. I found it to have some pretty wicked understeer on acceleration. That was made much worse with the throttle not being very linear, at least with my DS4.

A good tuner might be able to tame this thing. I tried .... :indiff:

Good to hear. I'm having the same issues now but on my phone. And I did the exact same thing but no success. :grumpy:

Thanks for your answer. But changing the URL didn't work for me.

Porsche 919 hybrid.
Racing hards.
Fuel map always 1
Pit on lap 6, no tyre change, fuel for 4.5 laps. Got fastest lap.
Just do your race, overtake your oponents, draft them in the oval part, if the driver in front of you is an old group C (787b, r92cp, sauber c9) wait for a corner and overtake on the brake (their braking is their weakest point).
If, by leader, you are refering to wilk (peugeot vgt). He pits twice, last of them in lap 9, so he is not a problem. I think your main rival will be miyazono (mclaren vgt).
Thanks for the recommendation, ive only ever used it in TT and i didnt really rate it,it didnt seem to be all that fast but at the same time it wasnt poor, however in these 3 races it shines.
How did you get on with it on Suzuka?I was catching the leaders, got upto pos 4 if i remember, then it started raining. The cars in front pitted so i thought i`ll wobble around for one more lap.Big mistake, spun about a million times so i quit and tried again.Same thing again twice,my own fault i should have pitted for inters so i`ll have another go tomorrow.I watched a few YT vids but they seem to use vgt`s on suzuka but there doesnt appear to be any rain for them.

Suzuka is a tricky one, variable weather. Completely different strategies between no rain and rain. In my case it didnt rain at all. But It was still hard because in a "no rain" race, hizal and miyazono will not pit (so if the player pits likely wont catch them).
I had to use a no pit strategy , with lap 1,2,3 on fm6; lap 4,5 on fm3; lap 6,7,8 on fm1, lap 9 switch from fm1 to fm3 at middle of lap, lap 10 fm6. Probably not the best strat, but it worked.
I like the porsche 919. Its not the fastest in straight lines, but its extremelly stable, very fuel eficient, amazing braking and excelent on high speed corners. Toyota ts050 is also very good.

I will give the Toyota a go once ive sorted Suzuka.cheers mate.👍

Question: Why are the Ferrari F40, Porsche 911 GT1, and Jaguar XJ12 on limited stock already? I thought these listings all lasted a full week, they haven't been out that long.

Does anyone recall the last Kaz interview with the media? Has he done one since the game released? Feels like he's somehow achieved the impossible and been even quieter than ever before.
Almost Banksy-like?… but in reverse.

VGT Menu is done and I learned 3 things:

1 - This little VW is a cool alternative! Well, it's actually not, but it's enough to get podium on all tracks and it's only costs 450k. I got 1st in Interlagos and 2nd in Deep Forest/Kyoto.

Holding those 3 in Interlagos was quite amazing

2 - Every lap in Deep Forest the Jaguar was inches to hit the wall, until lap 6 where, well, it hit the wall!

Did this race 4 times and in 3 of them the Jaguar crashed at the same place. Weird.

3 - Yes, the Lambo VGT is a good choice for this Menu, just be careful on Kyoto 👀

I like the design and the speed of this car, but I think it's way too much unstable. Lost the control while breaking in Deep Forest after the tunnels at least 3 times.

I used toyota ft1 gr3 on those races. Racing softs and turbo (the only one on sale at the parts shop)
Interlagos easy win.
Deep forest a bit harder because the rival porsche vgt is significantly faster in the straight line, I beated him because toyota ft1 corners better than porsche vgt.
Kyoto about same as Interlagos in terms of dificulty.
