Nope, but with no official word from PD about their future plans we're left to speculate and make up our own ideas. Kaz still hasn't given any interviews about the future of the game. Why are people talking about GVS all of a sudden?
Has it cropped up somewhere this week?

PS5 version is like 95% perfect on motion. If you stop and look you'll see the cross-get concessions like vegetation and stuff, some small pop-in too. But the game looks absolutely amazing. Great particles, great IQ (4K), great anti-aliasing, and the amazing lightning plus sub-surface scattering and PBR materials.Had to do some grinding in GT Sport to buy cars for the VR mode and wow, being basically the first time I've played it on flatscreen since 7's release I really didn't remember it looking this bad. Crazy how much room for improvement PD had left even on the PS4 Slim, can't even imagine how good the PS5 version must look.
I want to see PS5 full potential on GT8.🤌🏼PS5 version is like 95% perfect on motion. If you stop and look you'll see the cross-get concessions like vegetation and stuff, some small pop-in too. It looks better than FH5 on the consoles, something that I thought GT7 wouldn't manage at all.
Graphics-wise PD is still really great. GT8 is going to look unbelievable, no doubt about that.
Hope you get your PS5 soon to understand my point
No but it's one of the hallmark GT circuits that's yet to be revived. Trial Mountain, Deep Forest and High Speed Ring have returned so it stands to reason that Grand Valley will show up again soon. Why are people talking about GVS all of a sudden?

nopeI wonder if group c cars have high and low downforce wings…
Fair enough, didn't realise this was a wishlist thread though.Nope, but with no official word from PD about their future plans we're left to speculate and make up our own ideas. Kaz still hasn't given any interviews about the future of the game.
Technically Kaz has told us the future of the game albeit very vague:Nope, but with no official word from PD about their future plans we're left to speculate and make up our own ideas. Kaz still hasn't given any interviews about the future of the game.
Trial Mountain.Which track has the best lighting in your opinion?
Figured someone would say that, yeah I agree.Trial Mountain.
And the worst are Brands Hatch, Sardegna and Dragon Trial which have hardly changed at all and I feel that they look even worse than in GTsport.Figured someone would say that, yeah I agree.
That's interesting, I'd like to see a comparison between them. And the worst are Brands Hatch, Sardegna and Dragon Trial which have hardly changed at all and I feel that they look even worse than in GTsport.
HHardly a wishlist, we were just discussing what the track might look like if it was brought back.Fair enough, didn't realise this was a wishlist thread though.
I think most tracks look really good. Willow springs deserves a shout too.Which track has the best lighting in your opinion?

I hate how when it rains, the sky doesn't gradually get darker.Le Mans has terrible pop in, low poly textures in the pit lane and vegetation clipping through everywhere.
The draw distance for shadows is generally very low and can be very distracting in certain conditions.
Many tracks suffer from bad performance and very unstable frame rates. Daytona comes to mind. Visually and technically the game is very uneven.
And don’t get me started on the very apparent LOD switches on cars right in front of you.
EDIT: just to clarify - that’s on PS5.
All true... but frame rates I don't feel are especially bad. Le Mans is such a letdown though. It's almost good looking, as the trees are 3d and look blended in as wellLe Mans has terrible pop in, low poly textures in the pit lane and vegetation clipping through everywhere.

EDIT2: did I say “very” enough?
Frame rates are horrible actually. PD do a great job of hiding the limitations of their engine by not having standing starts in the "campaign", but if you set up a race and choose standing start the frame rate goes down. Interesting that people can point this things out. I find Bathurst to be one of the more visually pleasing tracks to drive - especially in the evening sunset! Mind you, I'm playing through a projector that is already too far away from my room's opposing wall and only has a 1080p output. It looks amazing on the "bug screen" but I don't think I'm driving the most refined experience I could be with a top notch TV.I think most tracks look really good. Only tracks with some weird things graphically are: St Croix (some random low poly lines on 3 corners), Bathurst (Low poly track lines) and Dragon Trail (visible grass pop-in on the last corner).
I think Dragon trail and especially ST Croix can look really good. But Bathurst imo, is the most disappointing track graphically, it was seemingly fine on GTS but on GT7, the whole track lines are kinda lower poly. This is crazy nitpicking though, but it shouldn't be like this.
Curiously it suffers from the same bug/glitch that Suzuka went thru on the PS3 GT5 (Was perfect on GT5 Prologue and low poly on the GT5). GT6 fixed it though.
Pretty much every single game released is based on iterations of the previous engine (besides, say, teams with propietary engines that moved to Unreal Engine 4 or something). Do you expect them to make entirely new engines for every release? For what purpose? It´s obvious GT7 is running on a modified (if even) GTS engine and simply can´t handle the load.
I wonder how much of the engine is native to - or coded to the metal of - the PS5 or if the game is actually running in some sort of glorified back compatibility mode - I suspect the latter.
