How does that mean they did a good job when they tested it back then? If anything it means the game ran even worse when they checked it.
And if the worst they got was "above 50 with dips into high 40s" they didn´t do a good job. Easy as that.

Anyway, however you spin it, visually and on a technical level the game is very uneven and honestly not where it should be at least on PS5.
maybe for you... for a early gen cross gen game, it is just fine, best looking console racing game easily. I have almost all of the games, only lacking F122, not one looks better than GT on the oled.

Maybe GT8 as a native next gen game will impress you, I'm positive it will look much better

I think the HDR is the big difference maker. It certainly was for GTS. I agree that it looks incredible sometimes. Though I haven't tried the new F1 either.

I mean…. It does impress me. Never said it looks bad. I said it looks uneven and gave specific examples.
I’m also mostly taking about performance 🤷‍♂️

Doesn't look bad but hasn't blown me away like past GT's did. Maybe if it was a PS5 exclusive it wouldn't look like GT Sport 2.0

That's it. Fine with it though. I'd rather have them keep it like this and add more cars/content than have some crazy Drive Club+ graphics with no cars in there.

Suzuka West, Nurb GP/D and Type V that were in GT5, Monza Short, the Barcelona National + variations of the end section, that little extra turn on Tsukuba...so many ways they could easily inflate the layout count that people would be okay with, beneficial for PD and the players. Then there are the peripheral tracks like Bugatti at Le Mans and the little kart track at Spa they could have just scanned while they were there.

Unless there's extra licensing fees for these layouts which is still kinda stingy with how financially supported they are by Sony but understandable.

You can "thank" the pirates when PD inevitably tightens their ship up even further.
100% this.

In the near future - due to leaks like this, using the current release of the game - it may as well be guaranteed PD will adjust their data structures and there's every chance it's so drastically encrypted that I'll never again be able to get data to be able to actually confirm:
  • engine swaps,
  • daily workout rates,
  • ticket reward rates,
  • ticket reward vehicles,
  • available special parts
All of the GT7 Info site outside of the very basics (dealerships) would be unmaintainable.

Oh, and the development of actual game features will be delayed by weeks if not months because developer time is busy being spent on preventing more leaks.
The propagation of that delay then means some developments that would be released towards end-of-life for GT7, are instead kept for the next GT game.

All just to see some unfinished track layouts, where we don't even know if they've been scrapped and will never appear in release.
Hope it was worth it. :)

I can't decide if it's more hilarious or infuriating that alternate Catalunya layouts exist in files that they don't bother using.. 😅
Neither? They're clearly not being held back whilst completed. They're just unfinished, that's nothing out of the ordinary for games.
