I know PD will be PD but I really can't see them adding a big new feature like that, which going by what Nenkai has said is far more detailed than just adding a simple 'sell' button, and not including it in the update article. But who knows.

Please read again what I said:

Yes I could have been clearer in the first sentence saying "there isn't a rest" but I thought it was obvious what I meant from the context of the above, that I meant nothing else largely significant in terms of features, new tracks, etc. We all know that they can/will list new races in the patch notes, but they're not going to relegate anything big to only appearing there.

Even 'extra menus' are mentioned in the update article when added.

Too bad Silvia Sisters flew in under the radar last update. :lol:

Is it possible they are not showing the full content?or is that me being optomistic. :P I always hope that they drop something good in the patch notes,however after their`im so excited`tweet last month it doesnt bode well.

It is possible but about as likley as me winning the euro millions jackpot three times in a row.

Really disappointed with gt7 I could understand the launch state if the updates were consistently adding decent and sizeable content, but 8 months on its not looking good

Im with you on your comments,i love the game,i really do but its become stale now.Ive completed all CE,menu books.My time is spent messing around with hotlapping different cars but its only for a few hours each day.I have all the cars i want,its just collecting cars for the hell of it now.Ive started and nearly finished the game again with my alt account just to see if i get different engine swaps,so far ive had none. :P
Why they cant add decent payouts,the engines made available to buy?When the ticket glitch was active the forum was buzzing with people sharing there ideas and different tunes,people having FUN.I cant get excited about another roadster,another GTR,but we have some new scapes.whoooopee do,we shall have to wait and see tomorrow,🤔

It's indeed quite disappointing that there's (so far) no news of a new venue - or even a new layout - with this upcoming update, but hear me out. I think we'll get a much better idea of when we can expect a new venue (or layout) when/if we see the next GTWS season, whether it's a formal Season 3 or an Exhibition Series. I find it unlikely that PD would go to too long without any new venues/layouts. I still have my fingers crossed for Apricot Hill...

EDIT: And I also would agree that we need events that would render the use of certain cars necessary, especially in Sport Mode. If anything, I'd imagine it'd be a profitable design choice, as those without a specific type of car would have more of an incentive to buy credits. I've said this once and I'll say it again, but I think it'd be really neat to see various Daily Races or championship rounds based on the car regulations seen in various singleplayer events, such as the Silvia Sisters, or the Alsace One Hour. Honestly, it gets pretty dull when Race B is usually Gr.4/Gr.3 and Race C is usually Gr.3/Gr.2/Gr.1, with both B and C seldom having "more specific" car regulations. For example I recall that a few times in GTS, the Daily Race A not only featured Gr.1, but specifically featured the Group C cars within Gr.1. That said, I do recall there being something similar just recently, except with modern LMP1 racers from the mid/late 2010s.

Yes and no. We won't know about any additional events or anything until the patch notes. So we could yet see an event bump, new endurance events or missions, perhaps seasonal events coming in. Or of course none of the above, but this type of content we won't know until the patch drops.

Maybe it’s just me, but apart from the lack of new tracks, what’s also a bit disappointing is the lack of new wheels (and other customisation parts). I mean, it’s s Japanese game, with loads of classic JDM cars, but no RS Watanabe wheels. And how about some genuine bodykits from companies like Nismo, Mugen, TRD, Rocket Bunny, etc?

Some HRE wheels to go with the decals in the livery editor would be nice.

Gran Turismo 7 is Battlefield 2042 in terms of management and ideas for the future. Anyone who read what Jeff Grubb said will understand. For market reasons and future perspective for this generation, this game is stillborn. GT7 is just a crude slot machine, republishing GT Sport with another skin. GT7 is just a buffer game for PD to get breath and time to work on new technologies and produce assets on top of new hardware (PS5). It makes no sense to keep this game going for too long with the technological advances that F8 and AC2 will introduce in 2023 and 2024. And I believe Sony and PD know this. Their energy is in GT8.

But it's terribly sad to release this GT Sport 2.0 as an anniversary game. They should have waited at least 1-2 years and released a full-fledged nextgen game. GT7 support will probably end earlier than I expected. I don't expect any big features, apparently they are all saving it for GT8.
I wouldn't be surprised if they announced GT8 just after the release of new FM. As I said when GT7 was released, I don't see much point in continuing to work on an old gen game in 2023-24.

I'm sorry, but this whole narrative of GT7 being abandoned not even a year into release is beyond Doom & Gloom. Its PD being slow and behind the times both communication wise and execution wise, period. Its NOT that deep, lets stop pretending that PD cares THAT much (or at all) about what Turn 10 is doing. PD has never been like ANY other developer and at this rate, they never will so to expect otherwise is pure insanity.

1. Physics Simulation Model
 - Adjusted the simulation for tyre heat generation and wear ratio;
 - Adjusted the suspension geometry for each car;
 - Adjusted the initial values for suspension parts;
 - Adjusted the initial values for the Differential Gear (with 'Fully Customisable LSD' equipped) on certain cars;
 - Adjusted the Performance Points (PP) of some cars;
 - Changed the conditions for mechanical damage occurring from a collision or contact if 'Mechanical Damage' is set to ‘Light’ or Heavy’ in the Race Settings. As a result, cars are now less likely to sustain damage after hitting a track wall or other obstacles. 😮

I'm hoping this means less wear, not more.

Another suspension geometry adjustment, I'm honestly tired of trying to get used to the driving every time they adjust these.

They have really done a number on upping the PP on a lot of cars.The Alpine is gone,thats no surprise,PD cant have people having fun can they.Most of my Lambos have gone up by a few pp again,all my GTRs have gone up,lancia delta,and the list goes on.My subaru 22b and the`99 version both need an extra 200kg of ballast to bring them back down to 600pp.Strangley thought the Escudo stays the same.
Who makes these decisions and what are they based on?They can nerf cars and alter pp left ,and centre but they cant add higher payouts for existing races,nor put the engine swaps into the tune shop to buy.Im not going to be playing the game for the next however long just to see if im lucky enough to get an engine swap that i want,the game has become a chore.Its having the life sucked out of it.Look on the bright side,we get some more scapes!These are just my opinions so not looking for any arguments. 👍

The Cappuccino ?

I think the PP change is mostly because of the updated suspension and LSD so those engine swapped cars should be fine more or less

Changing the physics constantly really is poor form. If they really want to make changes they should be spending more time on them and do it once, as one big change. Not keep tweaking them month after month. Especially when they don't bother to actually explain what they've changed and why it's better like other devs do.

Agreed, I'm constantly anxious every time they're "adjusting" the physics.
