Remember how I said I wanted to buy two of most cars, with one to leave as-stock and one to modify? Well, I think I’m just gonna buy one of most cars, instead. Even if I were to modify the only one I have for a certain model, it’s not like there’s anywhere to really use many of them at the moment. I think I’d rather stick to a select few cars as my “aces,” and then buy only one for most other models, if only to further save credits.

(The only exception being whichever car I end up picking for getting the “firm favorite” trophy. I also refuse to get this trophy just by getting ten go-karts…)

Ok, for the 1st time I'm not happy about this; there was clearly a pattern about the content release, so the fact of no new tracks annoys me :grumpy:

At least, with the revised GTR GT3, we will have a new treat for the Sardgena grinding :sly:

Hate to say I told you so, but I did say there wasn't anywhere enough data to determine they were on a set pattern when it came to tracks. What happened so far was surely just coincidental.

As for the rest, well, there isn't a rest. Just more scapes. Any big features would be included in these articles, not saved just for patch notes.

I’m sure the vast majority here knows what to expect from these updates. The complete silence of Poly is insane but it is what it is. GT7 is a failure and more cars won’t change the core of its problems.

It's a shame the game is only 7 months old or so, and already getting stale. Having a hard time keeping myself entertained, with little help from PD.

So they added the last track to GTS in December 2019. In the following 2 years and 10 months(!!!) all the track modelling team have managed to complete have been two remakes and two remasters of old tracks, and one solitary brand new track.

Daytona
High Speed Ring
Deep Forest
Trial Mountain
Watkins Glen

What on earth is going on? Even if you excuse the lack of real tracks on COVID and travelling, where are the new fictional tracks? GTS came loaded with them. GT7, still none.

Things are looking very, very good for this update so far. More than 3 cars for once (I don't count that Dior disaster), an original track returning, and the selling feature supposedly already being complete, AND it's releasing a week earlier than expected.

Do I? What big features have they only mentioned in the patch notes and not the videos or articles? I'm talking proper new features like car selling or (hypothetically) course maker, stuff like that, not a few more races/new menu books.
You of all people should know better than to assume based on video that things won't be changed, like the 10 or so other people always come in to post about every update before the notes release.

I agree the state of these updates is absolutely tripe, but waiting for the actual information before forming opinion is a really easy concept that somehow is at a complete loss around the world. It's tiresome to say the least. To circle back though, I cannot recall a video piece ever featuring anything more than physical content, so I don't know why you'd think they'd start now.

100%

It really wouldn't surprise me if selling didn't make it into the update. It would be a glorious turd cherry on top of the soil-cake, especially considering it has essentially been feature complete for the past few months.
I know PD will be PD but I really can't see them adding a big new feature like that, which going by what Nenkai has said is far more detailed than just adding a simple 'sell' button, and not including it in the update article. But who knows.

Please read again what I said:

Yes I could have been clearer in the first sentence saying "there isn't a rest" but I thought it was obvious what I meant from the context of the above, that I meant nothing else largely significant in terms of features, new tracks, etc. We all know that they can/will list new races in the patch notes, but they're not going to relegate anything big to only appearing there.

Even 'extra menus' are mentioned in the update article when added.

To add more ammo to any false advertising related claims regarding car selling in case it didn't come in the update (which I do have feeling about it...), this blog post (while posted on a Sony-owned platform) has Kaz (with PD-related job titles) as the listed author.

Yeah, it's this one but posted on PlayStation Blog:

It doesn't add anything to anything.

I am a bit disappointed again. I am assuming (wrong of me, but based on trends) that we will have an hours worth of menu books and that will be that. I'll find myself wishing I had more credits to create custom grids.

As always there are lots of update “reviews” before the full list of contents has been announced. Not that I’m expecting much, but let’s just calm down until tomorrow.

Is it possible they are not showing the full content?or is that me being optomistic. :P I always hope that they drop something good in the patch notes, however after their`im so excited`tweet last month it doesnt bode well.
