Hey, I also had a question. When you install a Stage 5 Weight Reduction, is it necessary to install the other weight reduction stages before/after you install that 5th stage? I’m wondering because I had one for a few cars - including the Jaguar F-Type R and the Aston Martin One-77.
I can't imagine it's any different from Stage 1-4, so needs to be done in order.

I do believe for the level 5 weight reduction it auto installs the previous weight levels at no cost to you.

The two notable cars that come to mind for me that have it are the AMG GT-R and the Enzo.

GT website update: The car/track/scape region filter now goes to content added in version 1.25 (it wasn't updated for months before this):

Confirming. No need to install the previous levels if you've got Stage 5, it'll automatically install the previous four for free.

I really don't need more tracks or cars, i need something to do with the tracks and cars that are already in the game, preferable with a AIs with more personality. And when it comes to tracks, instead of fanservices with old PD tracks i would much rather like more of their own more modern tracks like dragontrail etc that are easily some of the best in the game.

If it has to be real world tracks, then the tracks that aren't no more (hockenheim etc) would be much more interesting to play with than the current selection of mickey mouse tracks with less personality than a empty plastic cup.

A lot of those tracks are very Gran Turismo, and very fun. Pretty much all built in the 1970s or earlier with a few modern modifications to some.

Oran Park doesn't exist anymore and circuit racing doesn't happen at Calder Park. It's just drag racing.

Depending on what’s in store for this month’s update, I’m thinking of just working towards the Platinum and then promptly moving onto another game. I just feel like when I play GT7, I don’t feel much motivation to play beyond about an hour at a time.

There’s something inherent to GT7, it seems, that makes it feel like it was crafted more by an AI than actual people. Like how it feels like the Daily Races don’t have much (if any) integration with the campaign events, or how even with BoP, some cars still dominate the “staple” groups, whereas they could address that by enabling tuning/setting while enforcing a limit on power, weight, and/or PP.

I don’t know. I don’t think it’s just me, though. I just feel that if I’m gonna be spending a decent amount of time playing videogames, I feel like I could be having more fun…

I agree with your comments,i cant comment about daily races as i wont pay for ps access so i may be missing out there but hey ho.I tend to do 2 of the grinding races, usually Tokyo and Le mans, then shut it down and play something else.I love the game but im starting to tire of the same thing over and over,i know theres custom races but there not worth my time unfortunately.I keep thinking`next update, next update`but they have been pretty poor for me,when the ticket glitch was active i spent hours messing with different engines in different cars. How sad is that for a £80.00 game.

Yeah. Heck, I might not even bother with the platinum trophy, as I don’t have any of the three legendary cars yet.

EDIT: Or maybe it’s just my mood lately. Maybe instead of quitting entirely, I just need a break.

Take some time out for a few days, ive done this a few times now with GT7,doesnt always work but can sometimes give you a new perspective.See what the next update brings,( see my previous comment, next update.lol ).

So GT7 to the surprise of i think everyone got 2 nominations for The Game Awards:

  • Best Audio Design
  • Best Sports/Racing Game
Nomination for sports/racing isnt surprise at all and should be rather easy win but audio design is little surprise.

It's like US politics (bear with me on this!).

The extremes of both camps are so entrenched in their own views, they can't comprehend alternative opinions. Which is when you start getting into conspiracies. Of course, most people are somewhere in the middle.

updates ?....Im easily pleased....id be happy with some rusty wheels in the style dept......& very happy with some Hot Wheels style redline tyres

Just got the trophy for Going the Distance Together: The Autobahn if only pd knew just how much i can drive a certain special car.

EDIT: Ignore my post, this is from GT Sport if it’s Chikane’s GIF, because it’s a month old and they only got the game a week ago or less. My post initially said that 300,000 km in a week is basically impossible, thought it was from GT7.

300,000 km in a week? How is that possible? Have you been using it non-stop sleeping only a few hours? It’s from Brand Central, so the odometer should start at 0 km.
I'm not surprised. Check any car game thread with the P1 and P1GTR. If I remember correctly, he's got high mileage on them all.

Nah that's from pcars 2 but i see no reason why i cant reach that in gt7 if i play it long enough. :)

Sebring would be a really cool addition to show off the DualSense controller with the bumps. Closest thing to that right now is probably the highway joiners on parts of the Tokyo Expressway that you can feel as you drive over them
