Do you want more detailed and realistic physics on the next GT

We're talking about a stock Miura on its stock tires and driving it at speed, not drifting.

Yes, the wheel adapter makes the steering angle wider, but that's a modification. And CH tires are slow when it comes to racing the car against others... also not stock.

It looks like you're very good at drifting, but that doesn't have much to do with what we're talking about.

Every car should be at the very least driveable right out of the box. The Miura and some others still aren't.
I’ve been having troubles with the stock e type Jaguar since their “physics/tires improvement update” which I know it was always a little tricky, I tried to run it at goodwood and holy I was having a heck of a time not just spinning out.

The E-Type is fine once tuned up. I didn’t try it stock.
Yeah I have one that I’ll have to readjust. Stock, at goodwood, it’s driveable but maybe I just wasn’t used to it. It was a struggle, I ended up using a different car. The Dino, which was a lot more forgivable.

I took about a 2month break to play a different racing game but I have come back to GT7 a few times in the past week and I am very disappointed with the new physics. Some cars are undriveable, they pull left and right and seemingly tramline down the race track and are out of control. I have really struggled under braking where now the rear end breaks loose seemingly all the time. I can feel the increased front end grip the cars have now, but everything else feels terrible. I suppose some of this might be becasue I got very used to ACC on a controller, but this is not what I remember GT7 feeling like. It is not fun and I miss the previous GT7.

I know it’s sacrilege, but it needs the rear wing. I put on a low wing without side panels.

Yep, this car is busted along with the Evos. The issue happens at high speed, when the suspension's compression is tested.
Stock setup, Sports Mediums

Looks like you go to the brakes right as you hit the G-out... what happens if you coast through the G-out and brake after the car has settled? G-ing-out a car (causing a substantial rebound event) while going for/on the brakes, causing a catastrophic event, makes sense to me.
Having said all that, I'll have to try it for myself and see if I'm just talking nonsense.

There are many cars in game that simulate the restrictions of fender clearance, but it is way too agressive, and really just doesn't need to exist as a game mechanic.
If I'm not mistaken, many of the "races" allow tuning... so does this fender/rub/restriction not help eliminate unrealistic tuning?

True, but tuning is often the issue. I don't remember any stock/factory cars having problems with fender clearance.

Lowering a car causes the problem, and some cars simply adding comp. suspension at its default height can cause clearance issues. In the real world though cars can run with their tires very close to the fenders, and sometimes even operate with a fair amount of contact, but GT7 seems think any amount of contact stops turning ability, and is often very aggressive with it.

We should be able to basically slam anything in the game without physical limitations to steering angle. It's a mechanic that is rooted in reality, but unnecessary in the game, and way too exaggerated.

My old IRL Peugeot never had any steering restriction issues, did rub the arches on hard cornering but didn't affect steering ability, coilovers sorted the rubbing out.

I am not questioning your skills, but I'd like to see a clip of that.

I'm not saying it's beyond driving it at a pokey pace taking in the sights, but I would be very interested in seeing it driven at the 'Ring, at speed, untuned, with no aids on it's stock comfort tires.
The Miura is fine far more engaging since update 1.49 It is prone to snap oversteer but it's very controllable and far more realistic for a 1960s sports car Here is a replay of a scruffy lap of the Nurb stock tyres no driving aids except ABS default and I was driving in cockpit view.

Well... I had this weird thing happen on daily race A today. I've taken this corner much faster and with much stranger lines before but had no problem until this lap. Is there anything I'm doing wrong?

I find the Toyota gtone almost undrivable after 1,49, the first race car i noticed being this difficult to drive, the Mercedes clk gtr is much easier to drive.

Most cars i tried has been much better to drive overall after 1,49,

But the gtone sadly is not one of them,
Feels like you are on the edge at all times,
Maybe a better tune is required.

The go karts are completely undriveable on motion steering, I was hoping that changed on the physics update, but it hasn't 😔

I have to set my steering response to the lowest setting but that's still a bit much for me. It just snaps and it's because of the update changing everything. Increased front end mechanical+aero grip and reduced rear end grip. Makes any slides impossible to catch.

I thought the kart felt very good on a wheel - karts feel a lot different to cars - but I had one caveat, it's too easy to overcorrect a slide and dart off the outside of the turn. Every kart I've driven has been the easiest thing in the world to oversteer. I've not driven one with gears, mind..

Wish they’d remove or bump up the timer. Whoever thought to put in right on the horizon is a dummy. lol

Especially with the ultra widescreen large displays, the need to be able to position HUD elements ( and share custom HUDs in the showcase ) is no longer a nice to have, but a need. Currently it's the equivalent of putting your speedometer on your IRL drivers window and your clock on the IRL passenger window. I wonder if they only look at this game on tiny itsy bitsy smol screens sometimes..

I don’t get why some vehicles you can’t even see out of the rear view mirror. lol. Can’t remember which car, maybe the xjr13? Mirror is pointed to the sky lol

I love that in VR in the XJ13 I can see my avatar's helmet and it moves as I move my head, with no lag.

I less like the fact that in the XJ13 that's all the mirror is useful for. I have no view of what' happening behind me.

This is excellent driving, and you did indeed manage to get around the track at speed. Even so, look a what a handful it is, all the drifting that needed to be managed, and how many times you went off track. Even the best drivers in this game are hard pressed to keep it in line. The Miura is no doubt not the easiest thing in the world to drive, but I still feel that it's unusually difficult in GT7.

Out of curiosity, are you on controller or wheel? And how many attempts did it take to get this lap?
Seems the physics and Lamborghini model specific settings are pretty good.
I don't know about that! The Miura is clearly still bonkers, and the Gallardo is still plagued with weird steering issues. I haven't driven a Huracan in a while, and greatly dislike the Aventador's because of all their understeer, so I can't really speak on how they've fared after 1.49/1.50.

I wasn't sure if this is a physics / update related issue so thats why I posted it in here. Anyone has seen this before?! Still not sure if this is even real...

I had engine damage occur recently getting PITTe'd then side slammed very rare and juicy t-bone style, and it was a first as far as I can recall. I'm wondering if some sort of time/date based changes are unlocking as things go on.

I'm sure there was a video on this on an older update, but that was from not doing oil changes and not replacing the engine when it was showing red condition in the garage.

Not seen it randomly happen during a race without those other factors
