Polyphony could absolutely still improve the visuals for this supposed Gran Turismo 7
Proper non-static skyboxes, better antialiasing, higher texture quality for track objects, more realistic lighting and weather effects, upgraded shadows, and of course using raytracing for reflections on the cars (I fully expect RTX to be a thing in all PS5 exclusives since the system supports it on a hardware level).
My issue ever since GT5 was that the games look kind of "flat" during daytime racing. Little bit less so during dawns and evenings. Night racing is, of course, just incredible and no other racing game besides Driveclub tops Gran Turismo there
Surprised you didn't list "Dynamic Time and Weather" on it.

Poly should look back at its old games and see how fun they were. 99,9% of the comments in mainstream medias are "Gran Turismo is too dull today". And I think they are right.
The lack of new cars this month is not even a problem for me. GTSport is already a very generous game but the feeling is too boring for a casual player. Great game for sim racers, rather boring for a casual player. The next game could be a huge success if it's like GT1, GT2 or GT3.

It's possible GT7 could be announced or revealed this year.
The Launch Title may not specifically mean a release with the console but shortly after probably 6 months or a year alike GT3. Not released like, 3 years later but its all rumour still.
I think PD now have the Time, Hardware, staff, outsourcing and feedback to make a killer GT.
It may be quicker since the architecture of the PS4 and PS5 will be the same unlike for GTS where it was designed around a new architecture to GT6 which may have taken some time. Dev time could be alike GT6 or GT4.
I don't know about how things like the time of making new shaders for next gen. PD could just hold back again to see what the others make then release theres.

I'd prefer more of the resources devoted to improved physics over improved graphics (although you are right, there is room for improvement.) The pinball nature of collisions kind of gets to me sometimes.

I got the PS1 PS2 and PS3 to play GT / when GT came out for that generation.
Exception was the PS4 because the game was postponed and I ended up buying the console when Dark Souls 3 came out.
With the PS5, I'll get it day one just because Ill be able to play current games with better performance. If Sony throws in a Demons Souls Remake (rumor), an Horizon 2 or GT7, even better.

They need more race upgrades beyond just racing gearboxes. I understand this could have a dramatic effect on performance and the PP system. But there has to be a workaround.I want this to be true...

Uhm ,perhaps your missing some great games my friend. PCars 2 and AC are hands down a better sim than GT Sport. Period. PD has lost a very loyal fan/player since this garbage was released. To think people on this forum trashed PCars 2. Ian Bell is probably laughing his arse off right now. My advice,go spend $40 and buy 2 "Real Driving Simulators" because GT sport isn't in the same league.

I am talking about to GT7 not GT Sport, because this is a Gran Turismo 7 Rumored as a PS5 Launch title thread ok. I know GT Sport is not that good game because it is not a numbered game, and I said in another thread here about GT Sport. PCars 2 and AC them games do not appeal to me.
