they finally added a “race settings” option for custom race when sitting in the pre-race track scene, so you don’t have to back out to the track menu and then re-enter “custom race” and redo all of your settings.

“race settings” button is located right next to “settings” at the bottom of screen.

It’s so convenient and was weirdly missing at launch.

Now we still need an option to be able to select our cars in this pre-race setting in custom race instead of backing out all the way to the main menu and enter garage
This is the most exciting change for me. Even more than the documented changes. If we could just change track from this screen too it would be perfect. I'd forgo the ability to save names and settings if I could at least leave it open and pick another track.

For now, I am doing single location 4 race championships.
Race 1 - Fictional qualifying order.
Race 2 - Result of previous race order.
Race 3 - BTCC style reverse grid
Race 4 - BTCC style reverse grid, but long rolling start rather than a grid.

Great fun!

New update, same rules. As usual, carefully read the official patch notes (in the post above under "Documented changes" or on the site itself) before posting any changes. Once again, follow the OP regarding where to post certain things.

Now you may post.
I've noticed today that on the 485,000 Sardinga race some of the AI's randomly slow down mid race, and never speed up. They end up being 5 Laps behind by the end.

You need to watch out for them, as they are going so slow its dangerous, and I've nearly rear ended them...
Now there is a complete ranking in Sport Mode events time standings. You can actually see your position worldwide and scroll way down in the standings.

They run out of fuel and keep going at 80km/h. Just stupid AI behavior as allways
