I could forgive a lot of this if we could at least be allowed to sell cars.
I thought this was very strange too, like why the heck can't we sell them? It does honestly seem like they're trying to push MTX, which is kinda sad, because I thought PD were one of the companies that would never... but I guess they do answer to Sony, perhaps a little pressure from above?

At this point, I'm not even at all surprised this is the route PD has taken. The fact that I paid for that stupid special edition to give this damn company ONE LAST CHANCE to redeem themselves, and they messed it up, as always... Why, oh WHY did I buy into the hype of this game?

I'm officially done with this game AND company. I stopped playing because the so called "campaign" mode was getting repetitive, and the grind was brutal (they pushed it even further to force you into buying credits). NEVER will I be buying another PD product EVER again. It's clear where their priorities are at: To seek shortcuts to make more money. GT is a literal cow for PD/Sony to keep milking money out of. There is no passion put into making the games FUN anymore, but to get more money out of us. Now I really don't regret moving over to the Forza franchise back in 2015.
Because the marketing for this game was very well done. That’s what Sony, Kaz and /or the marketing team at PD are phenomenal at doing.

Because this game is short. It doesn’t have many events (about 120 races including championships in the World Circuits section, even GT6 had more races), and it seems like the career mode is incomplete. There are only a handful of championships, there are no races with pitstops, no endurance races, no real specific events (Rain Masters, 4WD cup) or events unique to Gr.2 (Super GT) or Gr.1 (Prototypes) cars. It really feels like this game was rushed, and the amount of bugs this game has further solidifies this sentiment for me.
Yes this was my point about Super Licence - what is it for as it used to mean something in GT5

The 'earnings nerf' can be blamed on all those bragging about 'having finished the game', obviously the game is too easy with too much credit payout on some races....

The Gran Turismo series of games are supposed to savoured like a fine wine, not rushed like cheap cider.....😝

You have your opinion and I have mine; both are equally valid.🍻
Nobody's bragging about finishing the game fast, the game is just plain short. It takes more time to 100% GT5 Prologue than GT7 is that is a fact.

In fairness, I also tend to rush through events in GT so I can have money to buy and tune cars, which is what I really care about. But, I think this has more to do with Sony noticing the potential this game has to be a cash cow and forcing PD to implement more MTs and trying to push players towards them. And like, I could even forgive that if we could at least sell cars and/or the MTs were not absurdly expensive for what you get in terms of credits.

Yeah, me too. Playstation customer service tells me to reboot, download games again. If that dont work, change hard drive. Trying to get a refund from my bank. Will never buy any sony product again.
So it is an us bug or is it a their bug? Is the server actually offline or not? Could it be that they are rolling out servers for different regions one at a time? :/

Has it been restored for anyone facing the same issue?

That's what I'm thinking. PD has had the opportunity to implement MTs en masse before but didn't take it, which had always lead me to believe they didn't subscribe to that model of business. It was very refreshing, tbh.

It's a them issue. People just getting impatient and trying all sorts of weird stuff even though PD have said the servers are down and being worked on for a fix.

Ah yes, the R34. I think they did that to reflect how much the car has gone up in value in real life, whether they thought that was a funny idea or something people would enjoy, I don't know... but nobody has to pay that, you can just progress through the game for a couple days and get it rewarded to you in Book 35 or something like that? That's what I did anyway, for all the GTR's.
Yeah you get the R34 eventually but I know I'm not the only one that likes having multiples of certain cars so we have can different builds for each. 400k seems silly even for the current real life market.

I don't mind a Pay2Win game as long as it's Free2Play.
Even if the game were free, the cost of buying all the cars with real money would be completely unacceptable for a game where the cars perform differently to each other in competitive multiplayer.

At least I bought a disc copy, so I can sell it. I'll wait a bit of time to see if they turn the game around, but if it remains a ridiculous grind to acquire the cars, I might sell it.

Honestly feel pretty stupid for believing PD was somehow above other game devs and pre ordering the game now, just another vessel to push microtransactions.
Imagine having the audacity to think "grinding 10 hours straight for a single car is just too damn fast!"
You know it's bad when GTA Online feels less grindy.

There are time stamps on the error message but these have passed many hours ago. Also, customer service indicate console error, with them telling me to rebuild database, factory settings, new hard drive. Other games working fine. If it was a server update/roll out surely they would tell me that.

It is beyond me how they can introduce such dumb stuff that literally nobody asked for like musicrally (wtf?), this café-******** and hurrdurr-lets-drive-over-more-cones-duuurp, save fuel for the enviroment-duuuurp. Imagine the game you COULD make if you just scrolled through ONE thread here. But Kaz doesn't know english or how is it?

Im really dissapointed in 7. It is pretty clear that this was developed by someone who has absolutely no interest in cars what so ever. I wonder whats her name.. (sharpen your swords, white knights, for wrongthink).

Where is dragracing?
where is the tire-physics? you are literally stroking yourself off with "muh goodyear-collab", this p.o.s is the result? If I were said tire-manufacturer, I would cut all ties with you.
Where are the single-player meat? we have a few races and like six "championships". Bs.
Why can't we well cars? oh thats right, gotta pay real money for fake monies now..
******* 'el PD, get your **** together and fire some people.

I'm not sure I'm getting this image tbh. What does completionist mean with regards to GT7? Is that collecting all cars? If so this cannot be correct, especially as most of the complaints here are about how long it will take to get enough money to buy all the cars. So what does completionist mean? Even completing all menus, licenses, missions, experiences etc. I'm sure would take longer for most people. So what have I got wrong?

I'm going back to GT Sport. Better career mode, better availability of cars, practically the same tracks. It just sucks I have to redownload all the patches, but even that will be better to sit through than repeating the same events over and over, earning absolutely nothing, trying to save up for cars that aren't even that expensive at all.
Agreed. , I was just thinking that the other day, playing on GT Sport, now This update Confirms It! GT7 is Not really an upgrade From GT sport IMHO So at the very least I'll be running them in parallel And transferring my Experience from initial. Licences test And mission completion etc From. GT7 further down the line When it levels out And PD come to their senses hopefully Then. I'll jump in with both feet Later this year!

PS. As a bonus I Did get the game for free from Amazon because they Cocked up and forgot To secure the pre Release bonus Codes from PD So even though they Advertised it, they couldn't supply it So gave me the game for free And gave me a refund., you gotta love Amazon.:).

I also did after they release order the 25th anniversary. game from Sony Direct But was only given the 1.6mill Credits And the Yaris car for free But did miss out on the Three free pre release cars.
They happily refunded Once I got the game free from Amazon After Amazon couldn't Secure the codes But they did Let me keep they well 1.6 million credits And also the free Yaris car So it was a win win. Minus the free bonus credit pre release. car Pack. Two out of three ain't bad. For nothing.😁👍✌️👌
PS# 2 sorry I just realised that I had auto punctuation on this stupid windows 11 voice typing input hence the caps everywhere sorry

People be acting like they didn't do the same race a million times in previous GT's just to get those 20,000,000cr vehicles.
In GTS you could just leave it running while you slept and get a decent number of credits. It was certainly enough for the vast majority of competitive multiplayer events, i.e. you could get every Gr.1,2,3,4 car no problem.

So, I will say this:

This is the very first time in my life
that while having bought the expensive "anniversary" edition of a game
plus extra 20% of that cost in microtransaction fees,

the new gran turismo game has me feeling like I'm playing a free2play game of the worst kind
after spending 120 euros on it within a week...

Dude, you know you can have different tuning sheets and liveries/styles on the same car right? There's literally zero use in having multiples in this game.

I was expecting a need of some sort but not to that extent and with the lack of races and other ways to earn this is just a joke. I'm most probably gonna do 2 more trophies and just sell my physical copy most probably at a loss. I can't be bothered with the grind in the game if they make it worse than other games. Even tho Forza horizon 5 is arcade I can just earn cars from doing weekly challenges no money dropped on top only if you want the car pass.

Kaz contradicting himself saying he wants people to earn cars and not have every car. If he wants that then why have the option to buy credits to skip the grind. I've been playing since the start on the PS1 only missed gt4 and tourist trophy I've played every other game since. £50 for a game with these practices is a joke!
