crb easy or hard to gain at tokyo?
I get Clean Race Bonus every time. Crucially the CRB is only lost if you hit another car, and only if that car is on the same lap as you. So hitting any car that you are lapping, or any wall (even with a time penalty) will not lose your CRB.

I tested this by totally raging on a backmarker that swerved in front of me on the straight.... Hit him at 500km/hr and then followed up by ramming him into every wall possible for around 5 min.... CLEAN RACE BONUS awarded....... Nice..... strangely the "AI" didn't seem to learn anything from that little exercise.

Also with the Tomahawk glitch you can overtake the entire field in the first 20 seconds (by braking left behind the yellow car), so that ensures the CRB... If you fail in the first 20 sec, restart. Easy.

Traction Control on 5, ASM on. Fuel map 1 (or reduce if you can't control the power), 12 laps on CH, no stop, accelerate only in gears 5,6&7 and then with caution. 22-23 min easy win Cr 825,000 with CRB

Wait, what are you talking about? I don't care about the old Tokyo 600 with the now nonexistent tomahawk. I am talking about the newly dropped Tokyo 800 from today. We are in the update thread. ;-)

C'mon PD this game has the content to be a masterpiece, fix those online lobbies, get the new Sophy AI in the game and give a load of new events and championships please 🙏

Thinking from a corporate point of view I can see both the new AI and a revised career mode being held back until GT8, as these can be marketed as selling points to boost sales of a new game.

By far the most frustrating thing for me is we have all the content to have a great single player career or championships (hundreds of cars, great selection of tracks, good dynamic weather and amazing day to night transitions) yet none of it is used a lot in GT7.

All assists are turned off except ABS.
Oddly enough, this occurs regardless of the car or tuning. (Even a stock S14 exhibited this phenomenon)

And since other games, and GT7 before the August update, were played without problems, it is unlikely that the DS4 is at fault.
There are similar reports on twitter, and in other threads here, so it's not just me...

I've had the same problem since the last update, I honestly just stopped playing for the whole past month because it was so frustrating.

I feel like it took the competitiveness out of the game for controllers, there's very little "on the limit" control.

Sorry, my bad. (I did wonder why the question was here)

Edit: By the way, the Tomahawk gitch was still possible, until today. The PP update has nerfed it, again.

I'd be pleased if I could just discard the cars I don't want to keep. I don't care about the credits. I have all the cars I want. That's just a few Gr3 and Gr4 race cars. The rest I care nothing for. I'd dump them for nothing in return so I could find my Mustangs quickly without having to scroll through rows of front-drive crapwagons.

But name a game.., doesnt need to be a racing game, that receive monthly updates/content like GT7 does...

I'm sure there are more but I don't play online games, I just know about that one from comments here.

Besides, the frequency of updates is not as important as what is in them. Hypothetically two 10 car updates three months apart are better than 6 months of current GT updates.

These tiny monthly updates are never going to please a majority just because they are monthly.

Don’t know if anyone else has noticed this but suspension tuning no longer affects PP or Rotational G… some cars might be screwed.
Whaaaaaaaat!!!

If they keep removing parts of the tuning from the PP calculation, we'll soon be left with only Power to Weight rato. Lol!!!

If you select the cars you want as favourites and set that as the sort/view option, I think they are the only ones you should see.

I’m a little bit concerned. My update is 26.282 GB. The news article said it was slightly over 1 GB. Does anyone else have a huge file size?

Thanks, yeah, I've done that. I'd still like to be able to toss the ones I will never use. There are a few that I use now and then such as the Mustang road car that I put a roll cage in and tuned to the teeth. I wouldn't call it a favorite, and don't want it constantly in the way, but would still keep it, even if sort of hidden. It doesn't sound right. A car that I'd turn into a race car would have no mufflers. Just headers and straight pipes. Yeeehaw!

I've got a few like that. Ford GT, for example. None of them sound right and they aren't really useful as race cars. Awful handling that seems beyond fixing. They are just oddities. But good for a bit of goofy fun once in awhile.

So again, all my tunes for 400PP, 500PP, 600PP, 620PP, 800PP etc are all destroyed.

And presumably the top times for all of the Missions, World Circuit races and Licences are now potentially different. Are we expected to repeat everything, each time they decide to change the PP calculation/BoP?

So they have added content :boggled:

Interesting thing to note: Only the Nissan Silvia (S14) was on the data mining list that was leaked three months ago. The Porsche VGT Spyder and VW ID.R 2019 were not.
Not quite, we got the:
Nissan Silvia K's Type S (S14) ’94

Datamine claimed:
s14_ks_aero_96

Which was in GT6 as this:

Different model, that's the K's Aero while this one is K's Type S. Nenkai didn't even know what model it is exactly at the time.

Also if you use the Clubman+ AFK script, it no longer works, although the devs are working on reviving the Pan-Am one.

Thank you. Didn't check the exact model name/year. Anyway, that gives me hope that we will see more than these cars. Maybe we will even get a content update with more than three cars per month...

100% it wasnt/isnt

The "Spyder" was the 918

God that list is making me depressed. So many good cars that would bring a lot of life into the game, but we just get a drip feed with only 3 cars per update. And often it’s a VGT car banned from online lobbies or singleplayer events. I like VGTs, but there’s too much focus on them rather than cars the community truly wants.

This game is an absolute nightmare. First we get cars, one of which is just a tweak of a car that we got last update, another Silvia and probably the most interesting is the Volkswagen, which we probably will only use once and say, meh don't like the sound.

For single player mode the new content that has been added once again is so unimpressive. Taking very little amount of time to complete for lotto tickets that seem to be back to where we started.

The ability to sell cars. A promise is a promise KAZ. You should absolutely be ashamed of yourself.

I've checked the online lobbies, and to be honest it is hard to tell if it's improved. first you have to take the time to find a lobby that isn't already started. It took 10 minutes to finally find a room that the host never ended before the race started. How hard is it to have it like GT Sport where the host just get passed on to another player. How hard is it to add a feature that tells you if the lobby race is in session. How hard is it to add qualifying feature to the lobby.

Went to sport mode for some action, only to complete the race and the game freezes.

To be honest the joke is on us guys, because we keep expecting it to get better, and it doesn't.

Sony and PD should be ashamed that they have produced a game such as this. And it's time we stand up as a community.
