But name a game.., doesnt need to be a racing game, that receive monthly updates/content like GT7 does...
Forza Horizons 4 and 5 spring to mind , as does FFXIV. The Battlefield series also maintains regular updates that brings fixes and adjustments each month, which in some cases can make a much bigger impact then adding new content.

Of course, the number/frequency of updates doesn't matter as much as what's in them and how they effect the game. 3 "new" cars (one of which being a variant of an already-existing car) and a couple collection books (one of which requires you to spend way more in credits than what the actual prize is worth) imo doesn't exactly even out the continued lack of single player content, the poor grind that seems to show no signs of improving, the continued inability to sell cars, and now an apparent re-shuffling of the way PP is calculated that seems to cause more problems than it fixes for a lot of players.

This is a problem with your console or internet, not with GT7.

GT7 does a lot wrong, but randomly not download updates is not one of those things.
Internet is working perfectly kan play online every other game. Just won't do the download of GT7. If I remove the game and reinstall could it be fixed? What with the my game play, will I loose my rating? Finally got A. But now I can't even play. Other ideas?

Silvia Café Menu:
3 lap Willow: 3 minutes
3 lap Deep Forest: 5 minutes
3 lap Tsukuba: 3 minutes

Clubman race at Trial Mountain: 9-10 minutes
WTC 800 10 Lap race in Tokyo: 22 minutes
Japanese FR 450 at Autopolis: 3-4 minutes

Total Payouts: About 350k (the CRB in the 10 lap Tokyo Race is incredibly hard to get).

And that's less than an hour of races, chase the rabbit races, that have crap payouts, for the whole month. ... I finished them already btw.

-Still no selling cars.
-Still no Special Stage Route X Test Track (Top Speed, Drag Race times) mode.
-Still the same 2 races to grind.
-Still no actual endurance races like Fuji 1000km/6hr, or Nurburgring 4hr or 24hr Le Mans...
-Still no championships (or even races) involving the less used high-end car categories like Historic Race cars, Gr.1, Gr.2, Formula Cars...

I'd be pleased if I could just discard the cars I don't want to keep. I don't care about the credits. I have all the cars I want. That's just a few Gr3 and Gr4 race cars. The rest I care nothing for. I'd dump them for nothing in return so I could find my Mustangs quickly without having to scroll through rows of front-drive crapwagons.
what are you guys talking about? discarding cars is something that you can already do for a long time. simply go in your garage, select the car you whish to discard, press triangle (to open the little menu) and then you can choose to add to favorites or simply discard it, but getting no credits back from it. if you confirm that, the cars will be removed from your garage (only your current car cannot be discarded, you'll have to change it first to do so)

What? You mean you want any more Bathurst races before we have done at least 50 Tokyo clockwise, counterclockwis, reverse, upside down, inside out races on central, east, north, west and south loops? How dare you!

"You cannot discard a car of which you only own one."

That is the message you get when you try to discard a car, unless you have more than one.

People really complain a lot..., i think the major update to GT7 will come next year arround FM8 launch date.

We all know how some things need improvement but in the end i dont know any other game that receive monthly updates/"content" at same pace compared to GT7...
The issue its that some basic stuff could already be added, but like i meantioned think PD will leave a major update/DLC arround FM8 release date.
Is it really too much to ask for content to support the 3 cars given each month? Let alone the other 400+ cars at launch? 7 months in, and people are still using the same 3 races to earn money. Think about that for a second.
I personally don't believe it makes sense that argument that PD is saving for the next game. Unless they plan to release the next game in a very short time, 3 years max, then there's no reason to not add more cars per month, specially when all the cars should be ported over to GT8 anyways.

If we assume GT8 releases in 4 years, then we could get 2 years of consistent updates of atleast 6 cars per month, for a total of 144 cars, and the next 2 years they would model cars for GT8, which at the same rate, would give us 144 new cars over everything we already had in GT7.

We know they can do atleast 70 cars per year, so why not just do it? 6 cars per month gives us double the chance of getting a car we actually like/want.
Most people aren't complaining about not having enough cars. It's the lack of races to use the cars. Creating custom races is useless when the payout is 60% less.

Nope. No lobby or ffb fix, not interested.

Even though they've added my old car and me being curious if there was a body kit to turn it into the S14A that it should be... Nope, still no urge to launch the game.

I heard a rumour North North East and West South West Loops are coming soon, I can't wait!

I've heard about both being better after the update.

If you had one of these you should know that it's not just "a body kit" that turns an S14 into an S14a.

Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.23 Now Available: Adds New Cars, Menu Books, Races, and Scapes

The latest update for Gran Turismo 7, v1.23, is now with us, adding three new vehicles, and new Menu Books and races for players to get to grips with...
I don't understand what happened last night when I went to bed I had a GOLD hotlap of 2:20.365 lap on the lap time challenge and 2:20.445 was the gold limit!
I wake up this morning and I don't get a gold... I get a silver.. what happened?

LLL
That is not possible it has been sitting on 2: 20 .445 for over a week, now that means about 90000 people had to greatly! improve their laptimes, last night!
It's for sure possible. Think of it like an ebay auction. People do a lap time and get gold, wait a while and come back to see they are no longer gold, do another lap time to get back to gold, then at the last few hours left, a hoard of people try one last time to get gold before the TT ends.

GT7 is the BF 2042 of racing games.

Also Sony sitting on the Pikes Peak licence is another gross form of disgusting monopoly through exclusive licences while not even using it just so the competition cant use it.

Watchdog and other various pro consumer advocates need to join really and get this licence taken away from them.

Dirt Rally 2 missed out on Pikes Peak while the hillclimb cars got cut all thanks to this stupid licence. I guess the organisers of Pikes Peak dont care because the bag of money is too good for them to even care about licensing it on other racing games.

What a joke.

Took me 15 minutes to complete almost everything (gotta wait for a Porche in Legends).

For a 6* got a wheel with only stock tuning parts, my "reward" ceramic brakes. For the 5*, $100k.

Our combined reward is having to retune our garages with PP changes.

This game is becoming <you fill in the blank>, the wheel and contantly uncertain tuning indicative of it. It's a maddening chore and now a game I cannot recommend to anyone.

The laptimes have been based on averages a percentage point..
improving your hot lap at the very top has very little effect on the top 2 and 3% title...
I've competed in 5 or 6 of these and every single time the laptop average of the top 3 percentile has settled around a week before and not once has it changed overnight
P.S. And when I went to bed it was 2 o'clock in the morning

The extra menu book with the Porsches had me laughing hard. Spend millions to amass the 3 cars for a 100.000 reward. Why even bother creating such content in the first place, make something more useful like events instead.
I got a Ferrari invite from that.
