I wonder how the RS5 DTM will compare to the '16 GT500 cars, seeing how it features the larger (low downforce?) wing which wasn't mandatory for the Super GT cars until the 2017 season (but can be fitted to the '16 GT500 ones in GT Auto, if I'm not wrong).
Either way, we're also in need of the M4 DTM now, but I won't get my hopes up too high (and don't even want to think about the Vantage DTM).
Considering the most recent one sold at Auction went for $1,875,000, I don't see it being THAT big a drop in Credits.
If people are making replicas of all these from 2019, I don't see how its a problem when they all have the same Windshield banner. Besides, I've seen numerous liveries with decals on the windshield.
Well very happy to see the Porsche 959. That's a car I have long had a dream about having appear in Gran Turismo so now I can finally recreate an old Mega Drive favourite game of mine for some races, that game being Test Drive II The Duel which had the Diablo, 959, F40 racing against each other.
I know GT7 are different format from that game but will bring me some new life to the custom races and of course excuse to make liveries!
The addition of the Porsche 959 to the GT series is a landmark moment IMO... As a massive Ferrari fan when I was a kid, and with the F40 being THE definitive car of my childhood, I always viewed the 959 as a pretender to the throne, not really understanding anything about it beyond the fact that 'the F40 was way better'... the addition of the F40 was a landmark moment in Gran Turismo history IMO, and so it's only right to say the same for the 959.
I wouldn't be against that but it would make the Mercedes the 4.0 NA V8 spec, rather than the 2.0 Turbo I4 spec of the Aston, Audi and BMW, and would be multiple seconds per lap slower.
Anyone else worried about the price of the 959? The F40 was 2.5 million and they made 1300 of those. They made less than 300 porsche 959. Remember the mclaren f1 is probably so expensive cos they only made about 100 of them.

I didn't know about this information. Interesting. Would a BoP service be possible?
By the way, the DTM cars from the early years of the first decade of the 21st century, like the Mercedes-Benz CLK DTM '00, famous in Gran Turismo 4, I think would fit well in the Gr.3, due to its light weight and power of less than 400hp. Correct me if I'm wrong.
The 959 has been long overdue in my opinion, so that’s really great. Neither can I complain about the 904, but can we now please take a Porsche break for the next few updates or so? I know there was a dreadful time when EA was exclusively sitting on Porsche licensing rights in racing games, but I feel like PD has a developed a slight Porsche bias lately. Not the worst bias one could have though.
Mazda 3 could be nice if that’s the one, but I would have preferred some of the missing classics first (Cosmo, NB Roadster and Efini RX-7).
Personally I could not care less about the Toyota van, and I don’t know what to expect from the the racing car, as it’s too vague for me to pin down.
F40s average about $2.2m at auction, with a recent example selling at $3.1m and the record sitting at $5.5m
McLaren F1 road cars (of which there are fewer than 70) average $15m at auction, with the record sitting at $20.5m
Porsche 959s average about $1.5m at auction, with three Komforts selling this year for an average of $1.4m and the record sitting at $2.9m
You can assume it will be somewhere between $1.5m and $3m, depending on how Hagerty values it.
Adding more cars to a souless game won't make it better.
I have put now 100 hours in GT7, and honestly....I feel empty inside. I have no sense of accomplishment in the game and the constant updates of a few new cars and the typical events that all feel soulless isn't helping it.
I'm waiting for the big update....it's call GT8 since I went back to GT Sport again.
I seriously hope they include all livery variations of the car from the 2019 season, as that's something seriously lacking in most race cars in the game. I mean, some Gr. 3 cars have extra livery variations in their color selection (and to an extent, the Mazda Atenza Gr. 4 and Roadster NR-A), but every other race car in the game (new and existing) needs more livery variations.
For this update, they should also add all the liveries to all the 2016 GT500's default color selection while they're at it.
Spoiler alert: the Audi RS 5 Turbo DTM, based on the 2019 season, actually has eight liveries, such as:
It very much does, in both Komfort and Sport trims, as it is indeed the fuel filler cap. Even the original "Gruppe B" prototypes had a front fuel filler, but it was on the nearside wing rather than the bonnet.
Only a handful of the prototype ("F-Series") road cars don't have the fuel filler cap - of which the burgundy car you've posted an image is one. They also have no nearside wingmirror, and no windscreen washers.
Neither the Sport nor the S have an offside rear cap, because they don't have the adjustable hydraulic suspension (it's a filler for that), but all three have the nearside rear cap which is the oil filler.
Why? 9.5 million is way too much. The F40 is one third of that. And I know less 959s have been built, but that's not the definitive statistic ofcourse. The CLK LM has only a few built, so way less than the 959, and that one is 6.5 million.
It seems like the price varies from 2 to 2.5 million in reality.
Mazda Mazda3 - 28,000-35,000 Cr. (based on the price of the 2023 JDM XL Package AWD version, the most-powerful JDM version, an older version is likely what we'll get based on the sunroof; will be higher if it's the US market turbo/AWD automatic version as that is $35,000)
Toyota Alphard - 50,000-80,000 Cr. (highly variable due to the variances in models and prices - @matrix_gt1, that price appears to be Singapore dollars)
Audi A5 DTM - 800,000-1,000,000 Cr. (based on its near-twins, the 2016 GT500s going for 800,000 Cr., and likely inflation due to the Audi being 3 years newer)
Porsche 904 - 2,000,000-2,500,000 Cr. (low end if 4-cylinder, high end if 6-cylinder, more if 8-cylinder)
Porsche 959 - 2,200,000-2,600,000 Cr. (low end if Komfort, high end if Sport, double if either the very-rare S or 1992/1993)
