A year later, I still haven't bought GT7. At this point, I just want an arcade mode with all tracks and cars available or at least unlockable in a reasonable timeframe. I don't want to buy GT7 and wait months for a car to appear in the dealership. I'll wait as long as necessary for a change in the game economy and if there is no change, it's time to move on for me as a long time fan of GT.
Great input about this update... 🤔

Throwback at this, glad this didn't age well.
Man, I TOTALLY forgot about this! Highly possible it could Newey’s 2020 car. But my only sort of “hmm is it?” is Nenkai said 2019, so I still think like others have said it’s probably Rene Rast’s livery from 2019.

As for the guy who’s asking for all the liveries on the RS5, dude it’s not hard. I made all 6 2019 Liveries on the RCF GT500 and then made another 8 variations of those liveries, and also it’s far more satisfying to design it yourself and go and tinker with it. The livery editor is superb, compared to most other games, just get yourself some screenshots, and crack on my guy trust me, it’s worth doing yourself. Just my 2 cents.

Really awesome to see another GR.2 car come to the game as that category hasn't had any love since launch. It will be gr.2 if it's the 2019 car thanks to the attempted SuperGT/DTM merger which caused the dtm cars to go to the 2l turbo 4 to be in line with the super gt cars like the GTR and RCF we have in game.

I do wonder how the car will work in game as some googling reveals the 2019 rules added a push to pass system in addition to the existing DRS system the cars had, so will they both activate when pressing the button or will it be separated into one for drs and another for push to pass?

The entire point of GT from 1 till now has been the work it takes to get the collection. Best any of us should hope for is your PSN saved date being transferred to the new console/game. Yes, I have played and owned all but Prologe. For better or worse.

Also 6 out of 8 audi liveries have the same design with different colors, so It won't be hard

Not seeing where there was a push-to-pass AND DRS, only a mention that the DRS system was revised to work when a driver was within three seconds of the car in front (Similar to how it works in F1). I'm assuming much like how DRS in the game only works at a certain speed, they might make something similar happen where you have to be within those 3 seconds before the indicator lights up and you can use it.

Maybe, just maybe, if we get up to date Super GT500 cars, PD will do the team liveries as well.
I don’t know why PD did what they did in GT Sport. The Lexus LC500 GT500 was skipped. So was the official NSX(not the Concept car). Even with them all being 2016 models.

The new Z is out and could be a reason why PD are waiting to introduce the new GT500 lineup. Would be a good way to bring back the series, with all team liveries as they have done in the past.

Of course, PD could still leave the community to make the liveries, again, as we’re seeing them do since GT Sport, saves them from licensing multiple of the same model.

Edit:
Would be cool if there’s an option, in VR Showroom, to switch seats in the Alphard. :D

Audi RS 5 Turbo DTM '19...where to use it ? It's not a GR3 right ?
If they won't add Group 2 events (i think they will add them with this update)

Then you can add only balast and it will by usable in all WTC 800 events. Just like super gt cars.

Its gr2 car, same regulation as gt500 2.0 liter 4 cylinder turbo ,around 600hp , and same high downforce aero as gt500 , shame that they didnt find slutioon to bring gt500 and dtm to race alltogether

The update is today or the 30
"Today" seems unlikely, given the lack of update video (which usually happens 18hr ahead of the update) and the fact that the start of any maintenance period had already passed before you made your post.

30th is most likely, but since I'm out at an event on 28th/29th I wouldn't rule those out. For some reason the PD team always manages to zero in on my calendar and put the updates out on the days I'd find it most difficult to write the article...

Coincidentally saw this post over on twitter just now.

He did mention in one of the replies @DS13_supergt post about the article

In this article from Gamerant is states that it the polyphony Devs almost 300 days to make one car from scratch. So if the car was scanned sometime around 2020 but due to possibly COVID, the development of GT7 or even licencing rights for the sponsors on the car. The creation of the Audi RS5 DTM in game might have been delayed.

I feel the same for the game content updates regarding past updates on K' database, and confirm I'm also unavailable for the next 60 hours. Those updates also tend to match Forza content update to ensure maximum hassle.

So we’re getting the beautiful Audi RS 5 Turbo DTM ‘19 in the update, which is the first modern DTM in GT7, but does anyone know of the licensing agreements or any chance that we could see these older models?

We have a Gr.2 DTM machine, the classic Alfa that sits in Gr.4, but these would be perfect for Gr.3

Why would a Class One car be good for Gr.3? It would beat everything in that class. It’s not a GTE / GT3 / Gr.3 car.

Test Drive II was awesome!
I remember buying the European Expansion pack floppy for it. The F40 was my favourite back then.

I wanted to get Test Drive III but couldn’t afford to upgrade to the Commodore 128.

Great memories back then! Glad you had them too
It's lucky you didn't get 3 because it was pants. Some point to point roads so we could replicate test drive 1 & 2 and the original need for speed would be great.

Thanks, yeah they were good times, I suppose now I think about it Test Drive Ii and Super Monaco GP oin Mega Drive were my first excperiences of racing gamres so I guess 31 years of racing games, that's a bit of an eye opener.

Yeah they were good memories, I only ever played that one in the series tho.

Yes I heard 3 wasn't so great but I also have good memories of original Need for Speed though it was a monumental pain to get it to run on my PC back then but some good memories of that one so being able to play ut again on a moderrn machine would be great as one reason I stopped looking at Need for Speed was when they went to the story based format and online, it never felt like the original in my view.
