On that note, we have a very fast shifter kart but no kart tracks.....that would be a great way to bring people into the Sport & multi player modes.

I reckon the Audi will come with Rene Rast's livery since he won the championship in 2019 and ran with the Audi Sport sponsorship. I'm probably the only person who cares since there is a livery editor and every car will be available within a couple of hours when the update comes out (I guess that will be Thursday since it's just after the Sophy events are taken down).

Personal I’d go for the Benoît Tréluyer livery from Fuji but I think you’re right on Rast’s one

I wonder how this DTM and Raceroom licensing works, the possibility that PD got the AUDI RS5 DTM license. Unless the agreement is similar to that of F1, only one car per sports league. Anyway, I would like to see other DTM cars.

That's a good shout, for years we haven't been able to race DTM cars in other games because Raceroom has had the exclusive licence, if PD have good lawyers they might be able to argue that in a Fuji livery it's actually a Super GT car.

I hope it comes with a good selection of liveries. Player made replicas won't exactly be complete when we can't put decals on the windscreen.

I’m wondering because Class One is now in the hands of GTA, that DTM Licence or now that ADAC is in charge, they have probably relaxed its stance on what ITR had with Race Room, hence why we have this. Just a guess.

It starts life with the same ea888 block as in the mk7/7.5/8 Golf R, 8V S3, 8S TTS etc. So in theory would be an easy swap into any cars on that platform. Just hope PD continue to add more modern VAG cars to the game now. We have the TTS, and it’s a start. Oh and I still want my IRL car to show up, the mk6 R 🤞🏻

Not a chance. That's just not how it works, if ITR reserved all their rights in whatever contracts were signed to arrange the SuperGT x DTM dream race then they still own them no matter what vinyl was applied to the car that day. If GTA own the rights then PD might be able to just license them from them (GTA won't own the rights because if ITR fail to protect IP they've licensed they're open to legal action from people who've paid them for said IP) - in either case it wouldn't be up for argument in the first place, they're not going to try and blag it based in a 75µ technicality --- if manufacturers believe they're dealing with a company that will do their utmost do circumvent intellectual property rights then life will get much harder for PD.

This is the sort of thing that confuses people into thinking there's things other than that which has been confirmed or teased, and they then get disappointed because the things then don't arrive.
Please stick to discussing the actual news in the actual news thread for the actual news article. We have other threads that you can post other things in; it wouldn't have been out of place in the March Update Prediction thread, for eample.

Really hope they include 961 style bumpers for the Widebody upgrade, the 930 and 993 have really good options based on the race versions so hopefully they include those for the 959.Now we can add another car to recreate a Project Cars 2 GTO grid. PD are slowwwly getting there.

Along with PD giving us those Group 5 options with the Pantera, BB512 and CSL ‘73. PD can hit this one out the park with that 961 widebody.
