Not bad update at all, the Toyota is the most strange thing in this list but the rest are a great addition, Kaz more GR2 cars please the Audi is a nice begin ¿maybe some GT1 cars next? :)
Is the consensus that the Audi is a Gr2? I’m a big fan of them of them as well and would be thrilled to see more models, both new and old. Although I’m very happy with all the content they’ve made would really love to see some events with Gr.2’s being the star.

I know they do very well at 700/800 but the Classic Gr.1’s smoke them in events with pit stops because of the fuel/tire saving. A chili race or something that focuses on them exclusively would be pretty cool

My vote goes for gr2, why? Please continue reading

I hope so, I need a new Spa 1h farming car 😃
Engine swap a DeLorean then. I'd dead serious, engine swap it, loosen the rear suspension, add a ton of rear diwnfirce and RS tires then drive it like you stole it.

If we get a new USA track I'd like to see Eagle's Canyon. I've been considering it for Track Night in America IRL if my F-150 qualifies. It would be like one real life, clean Race A (no stakes, just have fun). That event is held at Daytona sometimes but it's a bit far to drive especially with whatever runabout we'd have in tow.

I've stepped away from Gran Turismo for a bit. I have about 40 cars to go to have one of each in all the stock liveries. I'm probably at the 350 million mark on grinding and I've let a couple of invites expire that I didn't need. The only Hagerty cars I don't have are 20 million ones, I do have the old Porsche but got it before it hit 20 million.

My glass is half empty prediction:

The Porsche 904 will cost 15 million credits and will disappear from the LCD in 4 weeks after release never to be available in GT7 ever again.

The 959 will be around 800,000 credits.
A Porsche 904 Carrera GTS would sell for $2.45 million in real life, so perhaps a price range of around 2.5 to 3 million.

I think with every update, it's safe to expect at least one Porsche (I remember in GT Sport's earliest updates, it was common to expect at least one Toyota and one Lamborghini).

However, this is also the second update where all new Porsches added are all sold in Hagerty.

Sure wouldn’t mind a Lexus Gr.2 engine swap for the new Alphard as one of the engine swaps in this update. 😉 Would be a blast to run against some swapped Tundras at LeMans.
I also am guessing the Audi RS5 will be categorized as a Gr.2 car based on the specs I saw for that car in real life.

Given its near-twins the 2016 GT500/SuperGT cars are high-end Gr.2s, that's a safe assumption.

Do we think the RS5 (if indeed that is what it turns out to be) will be Gr.2 or Gr.3??
It'll be GR.2, its class 1 regs like the 2016 Super GT cars are and had even raced with them in real life.
I'll take any Gr.2 car they want to give me. Love Gr.2. We don't need any more Gr.3 cars. There are almost 40 of them to choose from. Only 8 Gr.2 cars.

A mini van? But no Espace F1? Hmm, maybe it can be engine swapped.

959 makes sense. Strange to have the F40 but no rival for it.

Mazda 3? Yeah I suppose that makes sense. Might be a 550pp contender.

Ferrari 904? Another vintage Ferrari I will likely not drive.
It's a Porsche Carrera GTS (904). Not sure where you got Ferrari from.

I hadn't initially considered that the Alphard is ripe for camper van liveries 🙌
Plus a better Circuit Safari vehicle than the one I been using. ;)

If I'm going to drive any of these new and often expensive cars, I think my only option is to start a new game for the big early credits to spend on them. At least it'll be a more varied experience to the dreaded alternative of incessant grinding. I did enough of that in GT Sport to last me a lifetime.

To be honest, looking at the sticky on this forum with the total cost of cars getting close to 500,000,000, the early credits are the only chance I've got of driving everything at least once while not losing a chunk of credits through selling.

I'm not raining on the update. Just thinking out loud on how I need to choose my cars more carefully and dropping any notion of collecting them all.

The Alphard is a huge deal in Asia. Simply a great addition to the game.
Plenty of old models, but the new one is picking up speed here, in Australia. They retail for about $100,000AUD. Such a spicey van. It’s on me and my wife’s shopping list(when the price comes down… just a lil bit). :)

Anyway, I‘ve been wanting to make the GreenBrave Green Blaze edition. Special etching on the bonnet. 🔥

I've never even heard of the Alphard. Nothing that a GT-R motor wouldn't cure. I'm all for variety.

Like the Pallas, which needs the RS-01 motor.

When I went to the DTM round at Brands Hatch in 2019 I went to the Audi stand, I remember asking one of the guys who looked quite high up in the ranks, asked him “is the RS5 DTM coming to GTSport?” He said yes, only taken 4 years later and GT7 😂

Not complaining one of my favourite DTM cars, hopefully this means the M4 & Vantage will pop up also maybe in April.

Fantastic stuff.

Ah, the Van was the Alphard mentioned in the datamine leaks. Okay, that's not too bad of a van choice, though I still think I would've preferred the Espace F1. :P

Anyway, I'm glad to find out today that the new race car on the left is actually a DTM car for once; especially since Gr.2 has been lacking in cars for a while. The Mazda 3 (assuming it's the AWD Turbo) will be a great addition to the list of newer hatchbacks & compacts in GT7 right now and I haven't driven a current-gen Mazda 3 in a racing game yet except for Assetto Corsa as a crummy mod. The cars I'm looking the most forward to are of course the Porsches, didn't think that PD would add 2 in a pack, but I won't complain. I consider that just making up for lost time, all of those years of Porsche not being in GT because of EA. and now, they're becoming a big part of GT. What a turn around.

I wish we received a Mercedes 190 DTM instead to accompany the Alfa DTM or another super silouette car. I don't like when there's a single model for a given group of cars/homologations but still any additional content is always welcome.
I think a dedicated "90s touring cars" group would be awesome. DTM and BTCC cars from that era grouped together would be rockin, maybe as a Daily Race D.

Good list of cars especially the Mazda 3. I went to the store this morning and on my way back to my car I saw an Mazda 3 and thought that's a nice looking car and I would love to see it in GT7 😁. I think I will enjoy all of the cars in this update. So I guess no CLK for me right now. Got hold my money for the new cars

You recognize that all generations of this van have been FWD with an optional non-performance-based AWD system, right?

The Nissan Caravan or Toyota Hi-Ace Minivans of old, this is not.
Right a fwd based limo van isn't the nost obvious van I'd choose. A Mercedes Sprinter with the 9sp auto +AMG v12 that turned up in the engine swap rota on the other hand...

Great, more Porches 🙄 and when I said station wagon*, that brick was not what I was speaking of.
The Mazda and Audi are welcome, a actually DTM class or races would be nice however I would bet on it being tossed in the GR.4 bin with the Alfa. Class structure seems to be something PD is really struggling with in the past two games. Just follow the real world PD!
I should stop, or this rant will be full page....

*1994 & 1995 Buick Roadmaster Estates. Both mine. They are a absolute blast to miss with the 6 cylinder "muscle" cars. Look them up.

Toyota Alphard : I will not be surprised to see a swap coming next month.

And yes, RS5 DTM may be a Gr.2, to much downforce to enter Gr.3 class, a DTM generation close to Gr.2 Super GT in game, etc... will see.

The DTM will most likely be in Gr.2 based on the fact it’s a 2019 version and they did the whole class 1 super GT crossover thing!

Heck, a '90s AWD Chevy Astro Van with the later option of a LS engine swap would have been more of a fun thing.
