Best update ever. Period. I don't even care about the rest of the things coming with the Big Red Machine.

I'm going to say something controversial: I don't care that much for the TS020 because I never really got into GT3 and in GT4, it wasn't that fast compared to the monstrous Group C cars. Also, as the car didn't win Le Mans, I didn't see it as anything special compared to the likes of the Sauber C9, Jaguar XJR-9, Mazda 787B, Peugeot 905 and BMW V12 LMR. Not saying it's a bad car and I will be driving it for sure but it's not special to me. It's just another car which came up short at Le Mans.

That's not controversial. That's how you feel.
For me it's just finally being able to experience driving it in fully rendered Polyphony Digital form.

So after Suzuki Escudo, Lexus LFA and now Toyota GTOne added, which car will be most demanded now? :D
In terms of nostalgic GT cars, my guess is the April predictions thread will be filled with thoughts of the R390 GT1 and the 88C-V.

Although IMO there's much better Group C candidates from Toyota than the 88C-V, that car would be forgotten about if it wasn't OP in GT4.

Yeah I was thinking about „nostalgic GT cars” since those are most real and possible to predict.

I'd rather have the 1999 winner, but I'm happy enough with the TS020. I actually get more of a nostalgia hit from it thanks to seeing it at Goodwood, along with the Castrol TOMS Supra, in the early 2000's.

I'm not saying I'm disappointed, but the fact the newest Lamborghini available in GT7 is from 2016 is a bit saddening. A Urus S or Urus Performante would've been better but nope, we get a car from 8 years ago as "new". It also means this car was scanned during the GT Sport days. Who knows how many other cars PD will dripfeed us, and then suddenly end game access because GT8 was released. Hey at least it's an actual car we can have fun with instead of another VGT.
True. We are all used to a slow drip of cars. I guess it’s understandable that it lags behind, but 7 years? It feels like we are being conditioned to accept the PD norm. It is weird.

A racing car doesn't necessarily need to be winning to also be iconic. The Toyota TS020 was the most advanced GT1 car and in subsequent years, in one way or another, it influenced, sometimes heavily, the design of many LMGTPs that came after it. Let's think for example of the design of the Bentley Exp Speed 8, which in 2001 marked the return to Le Mans of the "Bentley Boys" (and of course, someone could point out to me that the designer of the Bentley was the same Andre De Cortanze who had signed the design of the Toyota TS020), or that of the Dome S102, a few years later.

It's not even a question of having a special connection with the Gran Turismo saga or not, and this is confirmed by the fact that many other racing games also have the Toyota TS020 in their car list. If we really want to talk about cars that have a special bond with Gran Turismo and only with it, then if anything we should talk about the Toyota-7 or the Toyota 88C-V.

Opel Astra V8 Coupé
Full early 2000s DTM car package please: ABT Audi TT-R, Opel Astra V8 Coupé, AMG Mercedes CLK-DTM.

But I would be happy also with the latest (2019) DTM-spec cars. The Audi RS5 DTM needs company.

I had no idea there was so many SUV fans on here (gross). :yuck::yuck::yuck:

Also:
"This two-ton behemoth shares underpinnings with the Audi Q7, Bentley Bentayga, and Porsche Cayenne, and sports a 640hp V8 right out of the Audi RS6."

It's also the same engine found in every Audi/Porsche vehicle that has a 4.0 liter V8. Not that special.
