I want a refund
Same. I want my electricity and internet fees refunded when forced to download this content which PD claim is free. Free should mean they enter my house in the middle of the night while I'm asleep and swap my hard drive out with up to date content. That's what free truly means. My time is money. Oh and bring my cat in from outside and feed it before they leave. Otherwise I'll rage and threaten to skip to Xbox and Forza and then come back for the next update and threaten to do the same thing all over again.

Please be my friend...

So, if we're really getting the Takumi Edition, is there anything different about this model compared to the other R35s (leaving aside the Midnight Purple paintwork and Nismo alloys and disc brakes) Any increase in hp, for instance?

As others have said, don’t care about the cars..but haven’t really since last year. Doesn’t matter. Gt7 has plenty of cars. Whats exciting is the prospect of being able to drive fast without the wicked oscillations.

..i do kinda wish that instead of a himedic it was a 14ft box truck, dakar rally style.

Nevertheless, excited for the hope that all of us wheel users can return to normal settings 🤞

I’m glad we get another four door sedan. I’ve been wishing, hoping and suggesting for them. However, now forget about saving the manuals, we need to be saving the two-wheel drive cars!
Not complaining, but Lord have us mercy… so many 4WD four doors. 190 E, Crown, Guilia and Hellcat are the only RWD sedan road cars we have(at least the Gordini and 300 SEL can be made to look like their non-race car brethren). Thanks to the success of Audi and Subaru, we can’t have top of the line four door sedans in this game without the all wheel drive - it’d be nice if the van is RWD.

Anyway, this brings us to a total of nineteen four door sedan road cars(excluding Gr.3 Road Cars and Safety Cars) in the game.

AFEELA
Guilia
DS21
Hellcat
G70
Atenza
190 E
Evo III
Evo IV
Evo V
Evo VI
Evo IX
Evo X
New Evo ?
Taycan
STI ‘04
STI ‘14
Model 3
Crown

Can’t wait to run them all together after the update.
Totally forgot about the RX-8. That makes twenty. :)

It's clear PD are adding what can be described as catalogue cars. Filling out product lines, with each generation of model, i.e. the Evo's. Plus occasional returning cars we've not seen for years like the Toyota GT-ONE & Volvo 240. You can count on one hand the cars that don't fit this criteria.

Makes you wonder what PD are waiting for to add the latest generation of race cars, supercars, and so on. Are we going to see them arrive in GT7 or will they be held back for GT8? These particular cars have been known about since August, so it's not a case of releasing content when it's ready.

I'd be quite happy with a more substantial update to co-inside with PS5 Pro. By then we should also have more info on the “My First Gran Turismo“.

This is a pretty terrible update. 2 facelifts of existing cars and 1 van? Well with the EVO it's a reverse facelift, but still.

This sort of car selection would make sense if the game already had everything in it. When most brands have outdated cars in Gr.3, when the Audi RS5 DTM is completely lonely in it's class, when the newest Ferrari in the lineup is 5 years old and so on, PD can't afford to bring this kind of updates.

The GT-R is the best of the bunch, as it is 7 years younger than the existing variants. The rest, is just meh (EVO) and bad (any van that's not the Espace F1 nor the Ford Transit Supervan).

No one in their right mind would prioritise the van or even another Evo, over a M4 DTM, a Ferrari 296 GT3, an Escort RS Cosworth, a BMW M8, the latest Mustang Shelby GT500, and so many others.

The Takumi Edition has no changes to engine power from the Premium Edition from 2017, remaining at 565 hp.

To my mind, MFGT coming out 2.5 years into the game's cycle to attract new users to the franchise speaks to me that GT7 is a live service and will be supported for quite some time. If not, then what's the purpose of attracting new users this far into its lifespan?

First of all It's a free update, however this are some cars that haven't been featured into a single GT game:

Clio Williams, Escort RS 1600 mk1, Sunny Coupé 1200GX B110, BX 4TC, 309 GTI 16v, TE27 Trueno, GTV 6 2.5 Twin Turbo, Fiat Uno Turbo, Corsa GSI, Polo G40, Fulvia Rallye 1.6 HF, '89 Civic SiR, 1430 Sport Coupé Bocanegra...

Shall I introduce you to the gt5 and GT6 car list of GTRs and S2000's?

On a serious note, I can understand people's frustration. But not every update or car can possibly appeal to every player. After 2 and 1/2 years since it's release, PD and GT7 must be doing something right for everyone here to always be awaiting the next update. Some may be disappointed in the cars being nothing completely new and exciting, but some of us want every numbered Mitsubishi Evo. The same way I would like a Corvette C5 and a M3 G80/M4 G82 to complete each generation of those respective cars and yet others may find that boring. At least we know PD isn't done with the game; we have the PS5 PRO update and PS Anniversary, GT7 based demo to come as well.

Peace ✌️

In my opinion it's more so a celebration of 30 years of PlayStation, as well as celebrating GT as the longest standing and most successful IP of said 30 years.

My predictions on the car silhouette image (Sorry if I am wrong):
Toyota HiAce '21
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII MR GSR '04(?)
Nissan GT-R '07 (Or the 2023 facelift model possibly)

Or lurks in the dataminer Discord and opted to blab... @TheAdmiester did say the cars have been known for a while, but of course the date of the update hasn't.
Admittedly I was a bit more careless about this one because in my opinion it's so lackluster and I hated seeing people making such big wishlists, assuming it was a big update due to the delay lol.

When it's a better update I'll probably keep shtum better.

Every update that doesn’t include a silly VGT like the Bulgari is a decent update to me. PD is capable of worse. Besides, I wouldn’t mind adding another generation of the Lancer Evolution to my car collection. They’re always good fun (granted the game physics work), and they help to expose how exciting Mitsubishi used to be, unlike nowadays. 💩

I can only hope they'll fix the physics, it would be pretty shambolic to leave it unfixed for 3 months and even introduce a new car in the family of cars that's worst affected.

Agreed… with the evo’s being some of the problem children post 1.5 this hopefully points to it maybe being a fix it patch, with a couple car models they had lying around thrown in because they usually do cars with patches. However, if you subscribe to that logic, the choice to bring gr2 back to sport the past couple weeks, is a bit confusing.

I'm down for all of these, though I hope to see the original iteration of the R35 from 2007 return at some point as well. And whether that LanEvo is the VII or VIII, I'd say both are notable - the former for being the first to use that platform, and the latter because it was the first LanEvo to come to the USA. Personally, I'm arguably just as interested in what sort of motif will be featured for the new Extra Menu, as not all of them have featured cars that've been added in their corresponding updates. Maybe we could get one featuring the three GT1/LMGTP cars of the late 90s? Or maybe in a similar regard, we could instead get a menu featuring some Toyota "TS" cars, namely the TS020, TS030, and TS050.

I have mixed feelings about this update.

I sure love to see a new Evo coming, especially the VIII, which is one of my favorites. A newer GT-R was predictable and I like this T-Spec version, and I always welcome Japanese quirky cars like the HiAce.

But the thing is, even though I like them all, they could be coming to GT8 with absolutely no problem and I'm sure no one would miss them in GT7.

In short, I don't dislike these cars, but they are not what PD should be prioritizing for updates. For example, Mitsubishi in GT7 is begging for another generation of the GTO, or the comeback of the FTO, and many others, and yet they add another Evo. That's why it feels disappointing despite being good cars.

Let's just hope this kind of selection doesn't happen for the November update.

Let's be honest for a second guys...
The best thing about this update (and pretty much ANY update so far) is:

»»» The comments you guys make about it (whether it's a "good" or, ESPECIALLY, when it's a "bad" one) «««

Seriously, I can't stop laughing!

Whatever comes with the update, I'll take it gladly.
It's only a game after all, and the update is FREE.
Nuff said...

Wrong! Unless Kaz isn't in his right mind? 😂 It's possible, I guess. All great artists and visionaries are somewhat..... quirky 😉 I do sympathise with what you're saying. PDs priorities sometimes just make no logical sense. But that's just something which has been part of the series since forever. Look how long it took them to get rid of those hideous PS2-looking models...😬
