but now people seem to have just passively accepted grinding Tokyo, Le Mans and Sardegna repeatedly
The game is 32 months old and the payouts did not bulged since they added those "big" payout 3 events, so no, people have not accepted but we can only witness that this point has not changed for years now, so what do you suggest ?
The true cost is the price difference between the two consoles... so $300 (more or less) is the actual cost for the added benefits
So in Canada, you can go to a shop with your old PS5 and pay the difference ? That's cool !

Daytona grind is the best thing that ever happened to GT7 for people who want all the cars without having to grind the same races like automated robots. 👍
Oh there were better things that happened, a while back on gt7

Ticket loop after an early game update , amongst other things.

But I guess this is the best there is these days for people that don't want or have time for hands on grind.

Just a quick glimpse on F40 wheels caught my eye in auto shop. Has the "raytracing" effect of chrome also improved in base ps5? It used to be hideous pixel dirt, now it looked barely ugly..🤔

Im using the raytrace/resolution setting with 120hz. Gives me better resolution with 60 fps in race tells my Samsung.

Pretty amazing that the 992 Turbo's boost gauge is horribly inaccurate. How does that slip through QC at PD? Nevermind they've already done that (and never corrected it) for countless cars already in the game.:grumpy:

I grind my axx off gridng in Tokyo, Sardegna and Spa that's how.

I don't sell my cars for credits I grind my credits Tokyo, Sardegna and Spa unlike you who's AFK Daytona all day long.
My hat is off to you sir, you are the Grinder King 🤴

Anyone tested rain RT?
And how much has the VR resolution changed?
I feel like the interior looked crisper and the overall "graininess" is better but noticed more blurriness but maybe I got fixated on it, idk. I only tried in sunny conditions though.
I am not a video game perfectionist though so I don't normally notice frame rate differences or slight graphic changes. I grew up on Atari 2600, remember ET? 🤣🤣🤣 So I am still always amazed at how far it's come.

VR resolution hasn’t changed or not significantly. The main advantage is the new reprojection that Alwinas some issues but the overall impression is way more fluid than before.
LOD is slightly higher too. No big step in terms of the visual itself but still way better than before.

Just discovered my time trial videos uploaded today don't appear to have sent HDR across, and look a little fuzzy. Don't know what's happened there or if anyone else has experienced it.

Edit: it's magically started working. Please ignore me.

We're all different. I just spent $300 on Christmas decoration for the front yard. $130 of that was an inflatable Santa that rises and falls out of a chimney, but it's still made from polyester. So, and extra $300 but better performance from the tool I use for daily escapism...ya, I don't mind.
Pretty much. Lame adult life. Good dash cam for a car costs $400.

I was going to sell my base PS5 but I think I might give it to my nephew for Christmas. I got him a used PS4 Pro last year as like his first system, and he was super excited about it though I'm not sure how much he knew about video games aside from the horrible ad-filled garbage he was playing on a tablet. GT7 was clearly too complex/difficult for him but maybe hes figured it out since then. He did okay with like Minecraft and Crash Team Racing.

@Famine Can you hit this needfspeed person with your car? Or edit the contents of their posts to say nice and constructive things? Either would be pretty funny.

Pretty annoying non ps5-pro owners have to download the full 32gb update still....
There is no difference in terms of the game and patches in between ps5 and ps5. Same admit was for the ps4 and ps4 pro.
Furthermore it seems that they partially repacked the game. Install size went down on my ps5 pro from 124gb to now 120gb with patch 1.54
No one needs to think that the storage space gets eaten up more and more due to unnecessary features. Still a big download for sure.

Porsche concepts holy trinity

So I've heard the Mission X is hot garbage which was kind of expected. That's the problem with high-powered single-speed EV drivetrains. Useless at high speed, but too much power to put into two drive wheels so you lose most of the acceleration advantage as well.

I don't plan on spending a single credit on it because I don't want to give them data that makes them think I had the slightest interest in driving EVs in video game.

Yeah what's up with that? Mine sort of got stuck around 30% and then decided to download 108 Gb of something.

Cancelled that and started the update fresh, 2Gb download but it's taking forever to install again...
If you’re going to use an archaic piece of technology you should probably expect it to be a bit slow.

to my knowledge, the Mercedes-Benz W196R is the first car in Gran Turismo where the driver uses the clutch pedal. I play in VR and it always bothers me how the driver never uses the clutch, even though it's clearly a manual gearbox.

Little downside is that the clutch pedal motion is triggered by the gear shift, not actually pressing the pedal, but I'll take it.

No, it’s not.

Not sure how it is stock but the handling of the W 196 is pretty atrocious when tuned for 700PP, has great fuel mileage but is too twitchy and has pretty bad brakes, waste of $20M if you plan on grinding using it IMO. Think I may sell mine.

One question for you guys, regarding graphics modes:

Is it possible that I have clear image on let's say chrome wheels ONLY in Performance mode, without PSSR? If I go Resolution/Quality/RT I get muddy wheels, muddy dirty floors, it's like viewing it through some dirty greasy lens.

It was the same before the update, it was the same with the PS5 Amateur, no matter what refresh rate or mode I select or try to create the perfect combo, in GT Auto and in Garage when viewing cars spinning around, only option to achieve a clear crisp image is in Performance mode (60 or 120Hz no matter), without PSSR enabled. I do have the PS5 Pro and a TV that can do 4k@144Hz, VRR/ALLM enabled, HDR disabled (because of the washed out replay saving).

A mixed bag to me. Didn't like either Porsche. Love the W196, especially in VR mode. Liked the Escort, a mate of mine had one back in the day, and the Jimny was fun. VR is much clearer to me, though I may just have hit the sweet spot, I couldn't believe my eyes when I passed a Castrol Supra - It looked real. Very happy with performance in visual mode on PS5-Pro.
