Gr.3 in Gran Turismo is not GT3 in real life. It’s made up of many different racing classes that all happen to be around the same performance. GT3 just happens to be one of the classes that fits the rules for inclusion in Gr.3.

Besides GT3, Gr.3 includes cars from FIA GT1, GT2, GTE, BPR GT1, JGTC GT500, JAF GT300, and others, including concept cars. Nothings really out of place because there isn’t really a normal anyways.

Whatever. It’s still 19 real cars and one made up toy car. What are we even talking about?

You know i had 0 interest in this update until i saw this...

I think GR.3 and GR.4 are not the problem right now, a lot of variety in there. The real problem is GR.2 whit 8 cars right now and off course GR1 with a mix off everything and nothing at the same time, LMP1, Hyper, Group C and VGT's, a ramen soup.
8 cars are not the problem. There are only three cars in GT500. That's how it should be. How it was in GT Sport. The problem is how PD messed up the classes. Adding more, continues to paint them into a corner indefinitely.

The way out, is to reuse the Super GT label and get them on their own. Use GR.2 for all the other jumbled cars. Until they restructure for the next game.

I wish more racing games had the TDU/The Crew system of offering multiple variations on the stock wheels.
THIS!

The weissach wheels are optional on a regular 918 Spyder, the one PD put in the game just happened to have them.

They're not even the weissach wheels, they're just a magnesium wheel option on the car, they can come with the weissach package amongst other things, but it can all be optioned around as Porsches do.

Here's a 918 Spyder with the weissach package and the default 918 Spyder wheels

The more you know! Thanks for the info.

But I'm really happy to see the 918 being added to the game. Now we just need the mighty 959 and all Porsche supercars will be available.

Since we have some time to kill before the update, I thought I’d write up a few “dream” patch notes for custom race with this update. Probably not going to happen, especially a couple of them, but it would be very welcome.

1. Custom Race

- Event rewards within Custom Race have been increased by 500%. A bonus multiplier is applied based on the length of the race, up to a maximum of 1000% for winning a 24 hour or 200 lap race.

- A new rival difficulty option has been added. ‘Elite Level’ will increase the speed and aggression of rival vehicles.

- It is now possible to create custom championships and determine the number of points awarded for each finishing position.

- Custom races and championships can be saved as Events and Championships, respectively, and played in any specific order. Race Photos can be used as thumbnails for both Events and Championships. Custom names can be assigned to each event and championship.

- Mandatory pit stops can now be enabled for races and championships.

- Fixed an issue wherein the ‘Rolling Start Interval’ would not display the correct distance.

- Fixed an issue wherein AI cars assigned from the garage would not have the correct tyre compound equipped.

- Fixed an issue wherein AI drivers would not fully depress the accelerator pedal.

As much as I would love to see this, it's really unlikely. As it is, custom races decrease in payout the longer the race is. Linear up to 1 hour (60 minutes = 60*1 minute) but then it drops from there to the point that a 24 hour race doesn't even reach double the payout of a 1 hour race. This was an intentional decision by Polyphony and I don't see them removing this drop-off point even if they do increase payouts overall.

The rest of your list is great too, but I just doubt we'll see any of those changes because it's Polyphony.

Don't forget, being able to upload and share custom events/championships using the Discover feature!

That would be great! The way I was thinking was sharing images of your events/championships online but that would definitely make it more accessible, just download them right into your game. PD wouldn’t even have to make events themselves anymore, if they didn’t want to.

I call it done. Sure, there are some fenders on cars in question, but wrap it up. I mean, if the SSS interior leaves no doubt we're at reality, may as well stop playing.

Like I said, it never raced with these rims and as you mentioned, these pictures are from practice or qualifying, practice being more likely for testing something different due to the heat.

In the race they were using the standard ones they used everywhere else.
I might have found the answer:

Apparently one of several studio shots from 2019. Maybe that's why this car has these BBS wheels?

I’m not feeling these GT7 trailers. Very short and almost like they are in a rush to end. These were better days for GT update trailers, in my opinion:

More content to showcase back then of course, but overall the old trailers felt more cared for.

That was and still is, my vote for best best trailer ever. The music, camera positions, the whole vibe.

I don't know to be honest, but if you click on it, you will see that even Mercedes labeled that car as "CLK GTR 1997", so maybe someone responsible for these thought he had to get the CLK GTR for the studio shots and put the CLK GTR rims on the LM?

The ingame car even has the paddle shifters it only used at Le Mans and were removed right after for the whole FIA GT season.

So now we have the 1998 FIA GT car, with the Le Mans aero package and shifters, 1998 FIA GT engine (which was different to the Le Mans engine where it had 6 liters displacement instead of 5) and livery and 1997 GTR rims. All very weird.

Says CLK-LM above the picture but CLK GTR in the description (which does not help at all ).

Also, the in-game car has the sound of the Le Mans car as opposed to the Flat-Plane crank for the FIA GT car it wears the livery of. Its quite the mystery this car.

Off-Topic: While trying to look for stuff, it came to my attention that this car is in Real Racing 3 (Ok, when?) and it wears the livery of the Le Mans car and kinda has the sound of it buuuuut, it has the pump action shifter of the FIA GT car  Likewise, so does its official inclusion in the Project cars games as I just tested. I am so confused.

After driving the SSS in PC2, hope PD captured the ferocity of the Skyline. Sounds and "feels" so violent. Can't wait.

I guess Sport Mode/PS+ players will have access to the SSS.

Edit: What if this update allows us to look at the interiors with a different view? I mean, we have to the alternate view behind the driver during replays and interior shots in our garage. Just thinking about another view in Scapes, from the interior.
