So why is the power output of the LaFerrari affected by the hybrid system whereas the power output of the 918 Spyder isn’t?
The Ferrari electrical system is discharging at top speed and the Porsche system isn't.

North of 165mph, there's no electrical power in the 918. It's all V8 and rear-wheel drive.

I’ve also read some comments elsewhere saying that the 918 has weirdly long gears. I cannot confirm this myself, but I see what they mean. Acceleration feels a bit restrained.
It does have weirdly long gears stock. Stock gear ratios will have you not ever using gear 6 and 7. Your doing about 190~ in gear 4. I had to equip the upgraded transmission because the king gears were rubbing me the wrong way. I don’t care about the wing though.

If you want to be pedantic about active aero, the 2017 Ford GT in the game actually is set to Sport driving mode, while active aero is only available in Track and Vmax modes.

In that case it’s still confusing how the hybrid system of the 918 Spyder gets drained empty while circulating an oval at top speed. Shouldn’t it then start recharging at speeds above 165 mph?

Does the Porsche charge show the red arrow indicating it is being used at higher speeds? Maybe it works like LMP cars' or the GR010s hybrid and only activates at lower speed to help initial acceleration?
I believe red arrow indicates the system being used and green arrow for recharging.

Edit: Maybe I misread your question. Yes, it does show the red arrow at higher speeds.

On the 918, it would of been nice if they let us have an option to take the top off in GT Auto.

Hyper car is a super loose definition anyways. Almost any really fast supercar has been a hypercar at one point. At one point it was the Enzo and the Carrera GT, then there was a point where the F40 was basically one. Now we have LeMans hypercars too. Just beat the cars somehow and shut up you people are always so annoying about the most ridiculous specific stuff
Nice try, but ”hypercar” wasn’t a term used to describe sports cars when the F40 was released.

Also, the F40 predates the Enzo and Carrera GT.

Also, you shouldn’t complain about people being pedantic in the same post where you’re being pedantic.

The “favourites” option in the garage leaves selling pretty pointless in terms of organisation and finding what you’re looking for. Possible earnings I expect to be pretty insignifcant.

I kinda like the Neo-classic retro event on its premise, I wanted something like this for a while that didn't require me owning the cars in my garage. Seeing racers from the 80s and 90s pinned against each other. It kinda reminds me of some of the all stars kind of races in the earlier Gran Turismo games.

What is more frustrating that some cars had this option in GT6, off the top of my head the BMW Z8 could have the top put on as well as a bodykit which is missing from GT7.

Haven’t played yet, but this may be one of the better QoL updates so far.

PD is seemingly afraid of adding substantial racing content, but the custom and lobby race preset saving will go very, very far with replayability. Seems like there aren’t a huge amount of trackside part options but it’s a welcome partially-returning feature regardless.

Low quantity of race events is still the easiest major problem for PD to solve.

They don't see it as a problem though.
Just like they don't see the following as a problem:

-Can't sell cars
-Low credit payouts in custom races (online and offline)
-Low payouts in Sport races.
-Only 3 races worth doing to grind for optimal credits

-Cars hidden behind time gates (UCD/LCD)
-Cars hidden by RNG (Roulette tickets) - with time gates

Its all by design.

If they change the formula on the top 4 options (+lack of content) then players will be able to earn credits in a time efficient and fun way.

This makes the bottom two features of the game less effective in generating fomo and MTX sales.

This game's economy is not designed for the players enjoyment, it is purely designed to be an effective MTX generator. They want people to enjoy the game but not not the grind to get those time-limited coveted cars. These cars need to be around for a short time, with low credit payouts, so the only options are to do very long, very boring grinds or open your wallet before the cars disappear.

Before anyone says "You Don'T Have tO PuRchAse MTX" - correct. I haven't and I have all the cars but its so damn'd clear that several meetings have taken place, along with market research, on how to milk the players for the best profits

What an odd question.
Because it has been around since the first game, it defines what the GT series is (or "should be" in some peoples opinions)
Except people appear to be taking this as false advertising when it never was. They've taken again an old slogan, in the same vein as Red Bull's "Gives You Wings", and warped their expectations based on games that this series long pre-dates. It's not an odd question at all having been around to have witnessed all those changes (Arguably much of it not all that great).

Another month, another GT7 update with "whole" 1.5 hours worth of content. Although last month I did spend a while on getting a lot of engine and 4* tickets. This month, however, I'm already done.
For a GaaS they sure don't even try to find any ways to keep players around for more than that. Or are actually delusional enough to believe their entire playbase are car/racing enthusiasts that will stick around no matter what and are interested in whatever that e-sport stuff they are trying to do.

This plus the wing being stuck make the 918 look rushed and unfinished.

IIRC, this Porsche in the game is set in track mode, which means the wing is always fixed.

Only reason you have all cars is because you either used scripts or abused the Tomahawk X pp glitch when it was available. xD As well as the ticket glitch that also gave tons of money (in my case, north of 200 million total).

Or... you were just mad enough to grind over 400 million credits on the same 3 races every single day for that. hard to believe sorry

Cars hidden behind time gates (UCD/LCD)
This is not an issue for me.

This game's economy is not designed for the players enjoyment, it is purely designed to be an effective MTX generator.
I haven't even remotely thought about buying credits since the game has come out, and I am still enjoying the game. In fact, I forget they exist until someone brings it up.
