Gran Turismo 7 Update Coming July 28

It's nice that there's a steady supply of new cars to the game, however I am still about 90m short on all the remaining cars I need to acquire and I fear that this update is going to take the total above 100m again. Here's hoping that the update includes not only cars, but also new racing events and mission challenges.

The rear wing is dynamic, and in this case it's in the 70mph/not braking position (or the static but someone's pressed the "put the wing up" button position). Otherwise, literally every crease, seam, and panel gap is in the same place, even the really obvious one on the two-piece roof panel and the rear clamshell.

I think I’m going to side with @Wake2skate on this one and say it’s not the 918 Spyder. If you look at the silhouette in Kaz’s Twitter post, you’ll notice that there is a crease that shows unevenness at the bonnet/frunk at the bottom-left car:

This indicates that the light (presumably coming from one source only) has been reflected in various directions at that area, suggesting that maybe there is a panel line there, or a hump nearer the center of the car compared to the sides. If you compare this to a random photo I found of the 918 from this source (courtesy of Google):

You’ll find that the real-life 918’s frunk is simply too smooth for the crease to appear.

I don’t know which car it is, but I doubt it’s the 918 Spyder, at least not in this road-car form.

You can even see the entire windscreen, with the first ridge rearwards of the bonnet being the body mounting and the second ridge being the top of the screen (and more tonneau nipples visible below it).

3 cars for the next update is not good news. 36 cars a year means,then these cars are not even new they are old than the previous gt. I think we need to have a lot of new single player events. (more than 3) are you confident?

I’m not sure what I should be seeing from the image here. The reflections shown in your image are largely those of the black ‘918 Spyder’ banner(?) on the wall, together with maybe a black part of the ceiling where the photo was taken that was not visible in it. I can’t see anything that contradicts with what I’ve said.

But come back to the thread in a weeks time to see it’s a 918

Okay. I guess we’ll have to see who’s right after the update has landed then.

There's three distinct creases on the 918's nose: one which runs along the inside of the headlight pod, separating the horizontal upper surface from a surface that descends towads the centreline; one which runs about eight inches inboard, forming a surface which twists as it goes rearward, along the inside of the wheel pod (directing air outboard); and a ridge which starts three inches inboard of that and runs up to the windowline.

Here it is on a less bland-coloured car, with one side left untouched so you can refer across:

Ok now I’m having second thoughts.

I think a part of me still refuses to believe it’s the 918, but the evidence that’s been presented so far seems to offer unequivocal support for the opposite. I think I’ll have to leave until the update contents are revealed to reach the final conclusion.

I was thinking about that too. But we can’t really see if PD are just listing the circuit location. Or a specific track variation. At least in the GR Cup.

Being a GR Yaris race it would be more suited to a shorter track.

Gran Turismo Sport/Updates

They are trickling out content way too slowly in a game that was already starving for it. Not just cars, we needs tons of new events to make credits.

For me , the 918 and the 917 LL are quite similar , visualy and in term of performance. So i'm neutral , not happy or unhappy , just neutral.
I am happy for the Nissan , we will see for the Maserati , i hope it's cool to drive , because the last time , the Ford Roaster was not very interesting.
I don't believe we will have a track , especially during the middle of summer.
But we need new events and lobbies stability.
