Yeah, but the whole point of games like GT is the variety of viable cars. An all-Tomahawk race just isn't interesting to me.

The issue is that a player MUST grind in order to afford the majority of the cars in-game. You could have completed the game 100% content-wise and still not be able to afford everything, so it's either grind now, grind later or never be in a position to have all the cars (and this is where the MTX's come in). And seeing as car availability is time sensitive in many cases, most people are choosing to grind away now.

If you don't care about car collecting then that's all good but for some this is the main aim of the game.

Not sure why the tomahawk glitch is such a big deal. The Tokyo race is fun in an Aventador. I managed to get 1st and I'm not a particularly good player. It takes a bit more time, but it is still a good payout and a much more interesting race. (first post by the way, I found myself returning to this forum very often so I thought it was time to join you guys)

I agree i guess you need detune the aventador for 600 pp limit, i myself don’t bother with tomahawk, i rather drive around cars i enjoy, you still earn 825k for less than 30 min,
And even 2nd is not bad at 495k,

It seams like everyone will get invites for the expensive cars in this update, i am going to grind for them, i want that beautiful fxxk,

It's a big deal not because of the grind method, but because it completely messes up the balance of the game. If you want to have a ~600 PP race online everyone's just going to use the broken Tomahawk.

I agree, so I'm kind of in favor of patching it although other people using the exploit doesn't bother me personally as I'm not playing online anyway.

Yes it requires a bit of detuning. Of course the race will take a bit more time with this car but it's a fun race to me and it just feels more rewarding to get those credits without using an exploit.

In sport mode you have a chance against meta cars. And by the of GT Sport's life the balance was actually decent and there was a lot of variety in car choices. You have no change in any legit 600PP car against even a wallriding Tomahawk.

Yeah, I have no issue with people exploiting the game, just saying that there is a legit reason to "nerf it" by fixing the PP system. It's completely different from them just deciding to cut payouts of the most lucrative races.

This is silly. In private lobbies the host can kick anyone usinga tomahawk before the race start.

Also it's on PD for giving us better grinding options. I still remmeber grinding a championship that gave out a good prize and the CLK GTR every time we won (which can be sold for a lot of credits). This was in GT4. We don't have anything like that now. Nor Bspec.

The Sardegna road course race gives you almost as much and is an enjoyable race too, Tomahawk or not. Reminds me of the Southern course on Isle of Man (not the large 37 mile one.) I wish they would turn this GT into a tourist trophy game as they done on ps2. Love the Ride series fo the real roads racing.
