Reality is I doubt we'll see a new circuit or layouts in this update. I have a feeling this will be a series of fixes, patching exploits, perhaps finally fixing 2p split screen and a few things like that.

If we get anything else I'd consider that a very welcome bonus.

Whelp, too bad I only had the farming thing for a day, haha.

Everyone is worried about the tomahawk but I wonder if they will take away the 100% clean race bonus from the new races. That would greatly hurt the grinding even if you do it "legit".

A car such as the Tomahawk will always be exploitable, they kind of shot themselves in the foot with some of these VGT cars
They just need to make it so you can’t use that car on those races or (and this is better because the 1st alternative will burn everyone that got the car) make so you can’t go from over 9000 pp to 600.

I hope they don't fix the grinding we now do with the Tomahawk! Let's fix the real problems first like
  • Add a save function for Online settings
  • Let us change settings in a Online session (so we don;t have to make a new session every time)
  • Bring back the fun boost option, so we can race on Monza again, with the slipstream so high, after 10 laps, everyone can still win)
  • Hell, copy/paste the complete GT Sport Online option to GT7, and finetune it then :-)
  • Fix the idiot prices you get every day. I don't want carparts or items of cars I do not own!
  • Give us a new menu option where we can BUY other type of engines, like a Porsche Engine for my Beetle

And keep your hands OFF from the PAN Raceclass for grinding!!!!

Yeah, what they've done there is copy the bits of the GT site where it says certain issues will be fixed in a future update and slapped them into an article with a guess at the version number (and no guesses to the update size):

Unfortunately we have found an issue in the ‘Invitation’ feature of Brand Central in Update 1.11.
It has been confirmed that the expiration date of the ‘Invitations’ can inadvertently become shorter during gameplay.

We will be releasing an update to correct this problem very soon.

Car Settings
 - There have been cases wherein the name of a Setting Sheet occasionally turns blank after being edited.

Trophies
 - Some Trophies will not unlock if you played the game on both PlayStation®5 console and PlayStation®4 system.

Other
 - There have been cases wherein the App hangs during the loading screen at start-up, and rare cases wherein the App crashes when entering certain race events. Deleting and re-installing 'Gran Turismo 7' might fix those issues.

Those issues are planned to be solved with a future update.
It's not reliable.

That site always triggers my antivirus too...

And the lobby??? come on... this is getting so ridicoulos... We need save/load/edit track config... With BoP on and tunning blocked, to be possible to change front and rear brakes in race situations!
Do you mean changing the brake balance between the front a rear while racing like we could in GT Sport? You can in GT7 but you have to buy the brake balancer for each car in the tuning shop. It will then work on you MFD like it did in Sport.

Well, three new Legand cars tonight and all those invites... going to be an expensive day. Just want the Ferraris and maybe the Pagani.

They should add some fun to the game.
At this stage I wouldn’t count on a transformative update. At best we can hope for some World Circuit events that will begin to acommodate the diversity of the car roster. How about this for a start:

3 events for K-Cars
3 events for MR drivetrains
3 events for Gr. 2
3 events for Gr. 1

Unbelievable how the game launched without all this, but maybe we’ll get there in 2023.

I managed to get the mclaren f1 gtr from the Tokyo exploit so I’m happy, it’d be pretty terrible of them to nerf it though, what harm is it doing?

is it real?

If there were some content besides fixing the Tomahawk fun, there would have been an announcement video before. So it will probably just be the end of the fun.

Suggestion to PD: create a race for VGT cars on Tokyo Expressway, it is very well suited for that. Combine VGT cars with AI normal cars that will serve as driving chicanes.

Doing this combination for 2 days now was an interesting experience that helped me to:
  • imagine how F1-drivers feel on a qualification lap in Q1
  • understand the 1970's drivers comment on the Chapparal 2J that it "allowed for different driving lines"

They're gonna actually fix the PP system, you know, like people have been complaining about since the game came out, and people are gonna whine because of their precious grinding... 🙄

Yeah, no.

Firstly, PS5Patches is for a completely different site(Update Crazy is, shockingly, @update_crazy) and it only logs updates after they become available. Secondly, I just clearly showed where Update Crazy got its information from: it literally copied the bits from the existing known issues articles on gran-turismo.com which say things will be fixed in a future update. Like, straight up copy and paste.

UC is guessing at the version number, clearly has no information "from the playstation database which houses the update files" (if it did it would at least have a ballpark figure for the file size... which it doesn't), and has copy-pasted "information".

It's not "real", it's the definition of clickbait. Which is probably why it triggers not only my antivirus but every other security feature on the PC. I've visited less dangerous porn sites.

Oh then my bad got them mixed up

I had a weird issue where the game froze while auto saving. Hopefully that gets fixed.

Although I'm only expecting bug fixes with this update, I'm really hoping PD gets started with newer cars. ACTUAL new cars at that. Well ... a return of the Lexus LFA would nice. But seriously, where's the C8 Corvette (road and race cars)? I appreciate the ZR1 but dang, Corvette's change to mid-engine is a freakin part of automotive history in and of itself. The McLaren 720S (road and race cars)? The Aston Martin Vantage latest version (road and race cars)? Outside of the Mercedes AMG and Lambo, GT races look a bit dated.

Sorry for the rant but man. There are NOT many cars past 2017.

Not if BoP is turned on, that locks all tuning and the brake balance controller is a tuning part.
