In the wider world away from dedicated car nuts like this, It certainly is. Whether we like it or not the most popular cars in the world are always going to be performance cars of one sort of another, sports cars and supercars. That is what the majority want to see. Kei cars are just not exciting to most people. When you go on more general gaming websites/forums you always see people complaining about GT games forcing you to drive slow cars at the start of the game. I guarantee you'll see the same comments on any sites running a story about this update once it's out.
The Cappuccino is also a sports car - just a very small one.

So what I get from this thread is that people don't actually want new content like they said, they just want pd to instead fix multiplayer, and people are trashing at this content update. This is a site for people who hate this game. All y'all do is complain and nitpick, if you don't like the game then get rid of it and play something else.

The lack of lobby settings is a huge issue right now, it’s arguably more important than adding new cars. And that’s only part of the problem with online races.

Personally I'm pretty ambivalent about it, I'll probably drive it, but not extensively. It just seems a weird car to kick things off with, not really going to make people think "Boy I should keep an eye on future updates if they're going to contain stuff like that!"
You'd think PD would start things off with a bang and release a selection of hyped or highly requested cars for GT7's first content update...

Can't help but wonder if 2 BRZs and a kei car indicate the caliber of content that can be expected of future updates.

Would be nice to see them bring back some of the "premium" cars from GT6. I've had decals for the Pozzi Camaro put together, since GTS, and still waiting on that car.

The race car pack from GT5 would be a nice addition too. Some vehicles that were supposedly "future proof", but haven't seen them in years.

There is still possibility for a track. Tracks never get released as silhouettes.

EDIT shouldnt there be a trailer for update?

Not really. GT7 also has a following in Japan where cars like the Suzuki Cappuccino, Honda Beat and Autozam AZ-1 are still celebrated for their sporty qualities. Logical additions to a game like this, unlike the Daihatsu Midget which everyone seems to want despite the fact it’s a truck.
The biggest markets for the game are Europe and NA though, by far.

The last game we had official data for, GT5

Asia: 1.14M
North America: 3.44M
Europe 7.38M

I was thinking about potential World circuit alternate layouts that we could get. I only considered those that are possible without too much work (i.e. as much as the pit straight and first few turns of Le Mans Bugatti is modelled, it would basically be a brand new track).

There's at least 2 decent layouts that are possible at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya - a "pre 1994" layout using the remaining sections of track, and the National layout (as seen in Forza, for example). I suspect the historic Barcelona layout would be popular, given the fast Nissan right-left flick and the very fast downhill double left in the last 2 corners. Not usable for safety reasons IRL, but that's okay in GT7!

Slightly less interesting are Suzuka West (last seen in GT4) and Monza Junior - the latter is perhaps the definition of a "beginner circuit".

Finally, this one would require a bit more modelling work - an alternate Daytona Road Course layout but I do think it would make an interesting technical track. (This layout was used by Motorcycles in the early 2000s) Another alternative would be a Daytona Road Course without the Bus Stop.

What I suspect we'll see - is none of the above, and it will be a new layout of one of Original courses!

It never fails, the wild speculations/predictions of the list of awesome tracks and cars and the update is... BRZs!! the Cappuccino is a good addition though, I like that. Although now that people are mentioning the Daihatsu Midget I want that car (truck?) in GT7. I loved driving that thing!

Hmm.

Not going to lie this is pretty disappointing. GT Sport’s first content update two months in had like 12 cars in it and they were all hits.

For GT7’s first, we get two new cars and one that’s basically a headlight swap of a car we already have. This feels like an update we would have gotten late into GT Sport’s life when they were winding down with that game.

.
Some players in Japan will appreciate it, and so will some players outside Japan. Not every car has to be something that makes all players drool globally.
The first car drop should when the game launched with issues and content is still ways off apparently.

Yes, but this whole discussion started because someone claimed it was one of the most wanted cars, full stop.
Cappucino is the most requested cars by GT Fanboy, Players and here in GTPlanet.
I've still not seen any evidence to support such a claim.

What are the odds of GT7 getting cars like the Porsche 992 GT3, GT4 RS; Ferrari SF90 Stradale, Superfast; Lambo Huracan STO, Aventador SVJ; BMW M4 2022 and so on, in the future?

I'm highly enjoying the game as is, but I would love to see an "up-to-date" update to the car roster over time, especially after being spoilt for choice by FH5. Although driving cars in GT7 feels much more special, which is why I want more :)

I didn’t say any such thing though. In another thread I recently did predict the Cappuccino coming in this update, because there is some demand, and thereby a very predictable move by PD being Japanese.

maybe i was wrong but i see some most people here want the Cappucino and Autozams back and more Super GT Game. when GT Sport update with 2016 Super GT Cars and Honda Beat 3 years ago and Super GT Cars and Kei Cars is most requested Car in GT Game due to Nostalgia and not only Nostalgic because this is GRAN TURISMO and being GRAN TURISMO . in this site not only this site and in Social Media Comments. i remember some many people here complain have no BRZ in launched because GR 86 is already the same and Super GT Cars is not updated.
