I'm hoping the BRZ GT300 is a sign we'll be getting a bunch of GT300 cars with accompanying events to go with them within the year, and lots more GT500 - forgot to mention that, require more tea. With the emphasis on sports, we need more WTC oriented events.

I'd also like to see Race Mod return, set up so we can make race cars of many sports cars tuned to suit different categories. I'd also like to see a similar Tuner Mod with pre-built setups.

Oddly, my previous post didn't appear...

GT300 BRZ nice.

Cappuccino, has its fans, I think I'd drive it as my choice in these events, but not what I wanted.

New BRZ... Meh. I prefer the BRZ to the GR86, because the BRZ is the real car and the GR86 is the clone, but it's still a "same" version of a car we already have in the game.

I'm excited for the Cappuccino revival and the first GT300 (and a 2021 model)! The new road going BRZ was expected in fairness.

I've always expected a GT300 to fill the Gr.3 roles for Subaru. Both VW and Peugeot originally ran VGT Gr.3 versions but wound up having GT original Gr.3 cars to replace them, with the GT7 manufacturers contract limiting you to those original cars. I wonder if the same will happen to Subaru by phasing out the WRX Gr.3 in the contracts next season.

They also need to fix the broken and rigged roulette-system, its frustrating.

I got a 5 star ticket and just got a citroen-invitation for a fictional VGT car i dont care about.

Also its a joke to win tuning-parts for cars i dont even own. And always just the lowest prize-money.

Its a joke they released it like that. Dont they have internal quality-control ?

Lol, rolling out the "doubles", we will probably end up with 16 different 86/brz, as long as PD only employ so many modelers they need to regurgitate the same models with a slight PP tweak, this isnt worth the gazillion pixels per car for me, i never noticed that in bumper cam on ps4...oh well fingers crossed they fix the game in a year or so.

There are so many cars deserving this treatment.
Quoted for truth. I have no idea what differences there are between the GT5 "future proof" models, GT6, Sport and 7, but I'm hoping it won't take months of work to update them. And the wealth of Standard cars from previous GTs... if they can manage to update half of them while adding new vehicles, we'll be in automotive heaven. I have no idea if they're still outsourcing some work, but I get the impression they weren't all that happy with the first tries. Japanese pride runs deep.

It's not broken from their POV, sadly. It's behaving exactly as they intended.

I'm happy for the GT300 BRZ. When I was dedicated to GT Sport, I always mentioned the desire to have GT300 cars in the game. Although they are slightly more powerful and fast cars than the GT3, I believe the BoP service can do a simple job.

As for the other two cars, expendable.

I think just three cars are very poor.

Hoping for the Dragon Trail Seaside + Gardens junction layout to come.

I wonder when we'll be able to buy the Suzuki, with it being a older car it could be a month before it shows up in the UCD. I don't mind that to be honest, it makes the dealer more interesting.

Why not make these releases every 3 months and make these updates a little more robust? It seems weird to only release 3 cars a couple of months after launch, and 2 of the 3 could end up being redundant. You’d think they would try to do something bigger given all of the negativity surrounding the game.

With GT Sport the monthly updates got draining after a while. Sure it was “nice” to get new content every month, but I feel like most of the cars they added I never touched. In the end I feel like GTS had like 3 proper car updates.

I was thinking about potential World circuit alternate layouts that we could get. I only considered those that are possible without too much work (i.e. as much as the pit straight and first few turns of Le Mans Bugatti is modelled, it would basically be a brand new track).

There's at least 2 decent layouts that are possible at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya - a "pre 1994" layout using the remaining sections of track, and the National layout (as seen in Forza, for example). I suspect the historic Barcelona layout would be popular, given the fast Nissan right-left flick and the very fast downhill double left in the last 2 corners. Not usable for safety reasons IRL, but that's okay in GT7!

Slightly less interesting are Suzuka West (last seen in GT4) and Monza Junior - the latter is perhaps the definition of a "beginner circuit".

Finally, this one would require a bit more modelling work - an alternate Daytona Road Course layout but I do think it would make an interesting technical track. (This layout was used by Motorcycles in the early 2000s) Another alternative would be a Daytona Road Course without the Bus Stop.

What I suspect we'll see - is none of the above, and it will be a new layout of one of Original courses!
There is also a very easy extra short layout at Red Bull Ring. They had it in GT6, don't know why it never returned.

Nurburgring also has a couple

It's a bit like the last update adding three whole races to the world circuits area. Like, why bother? Just wait until you've got a decent number and throw them all in at once for a bigger single impact.

I’d also love to hear why the GR86 was in the game at launch and the BRZ wasn’t, it’s literally the same car.

If it’s true that it takes PD 6 months to scan a car, that are the odds that they scanned both of them? Given some of the decisions PD has made over the years, I wouldn’t put it past them

If the BRZ wasn't already in the game then I was unaware. There's like 6 variations of the damn 86, just pick one lol. This thing will become the new meme R34.

Anyways, based on power level I'm assuming the GT300 car will be a Gr3 which will be fun to race.

It's the BRZ.

So we're getting a fancy duplicate, a racing car with no series to race it in and a Kei car that can race one endurance race that has a 1 time prize. Maybe I'm just expecting too much but that is a bit disappointing.

Here's hoping there's a bunch of new races and at least 1 new track.

You need to be more creative. I ran the Kyoto 1-hour race in a fully tuned Honda S660 and won. The Cap would be similarly capable and will be a blast to tune and race against much more powerful cars. In fact I'd expect the Cap to be more stable and easier to drive than the S660 so probably faster and more useful.

I can't wait to tune it and replicate this livery:

But we do have the short RBR layout, it returned with the August 2018 update for GT Sport. They just haven’t used it in the campaign mode.

I hope not. Would be quite the gut-punch if we only got two interesting cars and one of them isn't even available to buy.
