Dropped the ball on this one. Let’s hope this update has more features to make up for the lackluster car additions… I do like the Cappuccino tho.

No, his post proves the opposite. People are interested in seeing rare things that are not accessible, thus why all the people who showed up driving Ferraris aren't looking at their own car, they're looking at the Cap. All the Ferraris may as well be Camrys. The same goes for shows elsewhere in the US, like here in the Midwest. Exotics are the boring choice for people with too much money and too little imagination. The cars that gather interest are the genuinely rare ones that are not accessible, usually the imports or other oddball cars. That has been the charm of GT and one thing that has separated it from its competitors.Haven't you just proved my point? I never said nobody liked it, I said it appealed to a small minority, and your example just shows that.
I hope so. Not playing a GT game since 5 and this feels like an early access campaign with the amount of races on offer. I'm surprised this is considered a "full" release, and I can only imagine how empty Sport was seeing how so much of the game is "Sport 2" in the eyes of some. This is only made worse with dozens of cars that essentially have no use in the "campaign" mode, and maybe, at best, a use in some of the missions. Any car seemingly famous for endurance races like a Le Mans car are by default already at higher PP than literally every World Circuit race in the game. It's nuts that even cars with stock settings have no use at present. If I remember correctly there were new races with every update since the single player „campaign“ got added, often with events using the recently added new cars.
JAF GT300 for sure. I’m buying it, but still haven’t bought the 2016 GT500s. I’ll save my money in case we get the new cars.Is this the first GT300 car in the game? We desperately need more concentration of certain race car classes, instead of bits here and there of different series.
Honestly this could be the last Gran Turismo ever made and if they just keep adding on to it with updates it wouldn't hurt my feelings.Kaz did say that he wants people to look at GT7 as a game for the long term
Yes and no. The Silvia touring car is an old gt300 carIs this the first GT300 car in the game? We desperately need more concentration of certain race car classes, instead of bits here and there of different series.
I can't wait for youCant wait for the update.
Luckily he's already in the gameI can't wait for you
If PD wants to steer toward bankruptcy, sure.Honestly this could be the last Gran Turismo ever made and if they just keep adding on to it with updates it wouldn't hurt my feelings.
What do you mean with dupesThe BRZ GT300 and Capuccino are very welcome. The GT300 will, unfortunately be another Gr.3 car, but hey, at least it's a real life car that exists and not some PD modified base car.
The Capuccino has been a classic in the Kei car world, I was surprised that it took them this long to put it in the game. However, it's yet another car that has no events to be plained on, other than maybe one of the 1hr endurances.
Hey, everything that isn't: Fake GR. cars / Fictional VGT and Dupes are very welcome to the game.
With that said, if it turns out to be the new 2022 BRZ, I'll obvious be disappointed because we already have the Toyota GR86 which is literally the same car with a different manufacturer symbol on it. Come on PD, don't start following old tendencies now.
I'm not disappointed... Wasn't expecting more than 2 or 3 cars anyway and was also expecting them to be mostly japanese. I am expecting newer content though. More missions and championships please? Gr.1 and Gr.2 if it's not too much to ask please??? Pretty please????
For now, I would say it's a meh update. and will keep saying it until the game reaches propper "80€ full price" content, which is still faaaaar away from it.
you forgot catalunya rallycross trackI was thinking about potential World circuit alternate layouts that we could get. I only considered those that are possible without too much work (i.e. as much as the pit straight and first few turns of Le Mans Bugatti is modelled, it would basically be a brand new track).
There's at least 2 decent layouts that are possible at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya - a "pre 1994" layout using the remaining sections of track, and the National layout (as seen in Forza, for example). I suspect the historic Barcelona layout would be popular, given the fast Nissan right-left flick and the very fast downhill double left in the last 2 corners. Not usable for safety reasons IRL, but that's okay in GT7!
Slightly less interesting are Suzuka West (last seen in GT4) and Monza Junior - the latter is perhaps the definition of a "beginner circuit".
Finally, this one would require a bit more modelling work - an alternate Daytona Road Course layout but I do think it would make an interesting technical track. (This layout was used by Motorcycles in the early 2000s) Another alternative would be a Daytona Road Course without the Bus Stop.
What I suspect we'll see - is none of the above, and it will be a new layout of one of Original courses!
The red bull ring short track are in the gameThere is also a very easy extra short layout at Red Bull Ring. They had it in GT6, don't know why it never returned.
Nurburgring also has a couple

Isn't Streets of Willow already in GT7 though? Feels like it'd be a pretty random tease.Looking at the three images we've got so far, I think that's the first 3 corners of Streets of Willow in the 908 image with the one in the camaros being the final turns through the skid pad. Can't quite make out the lines in the 2J tweet but it's clear they are teasing a track layout with these tweetsView attachment 1142170View attachment 1142171
The problem here is @Samus already made the distinction of who the Cap. attracts & you're proving his point; it's car guys. No, his post proves the opposite. In the wider world away from dedicated car nuts like this, It certainly is. Whether we like it or not the most popular cars in the world are always going to be performance cars of one sort of another, sports cars and supercars.
