I love the idea of being able to rent cars for sport mode. I am still very angry about group 4 though. Can't believe they haven't updated the BoP that has been so badly out of wack, 1 crappy car has dominated. I have not, and will never drive that stupid Atenza Gr. 4. It's completely owned the top 10 leaderboards of Gr. 4 since launch and until it changes, I'm not racing gr 4.

Man better just stop it, I know most is are a little disappointed, but what you are doing is just ridiculous. You just give this game a rest if you are so dissatisfied with it and come back in some months, maybe by then you can enjoy it. In the meantime maybe play something else or just do something totally different that distracts and stops you getting angry about a GAME
I would really like to see someone explain how not playing the game and not being active on this forum is a solution for this game clearly having a severe lack of content. Going away and hoping for the best is not going to do anything. It sounds like you just don't want to read criticism on this forum. I don't know why, since it's that same criticism that has been forcing PD to make this game half decent.

I'd rather take 5.000 credits, than a sport-muffler for a Fiat 500 or brake-pads for Mini Cooper i dont even own.

PD needs to build up a quality control. Multi-million-dollar company with Sony in the back and not a single employee for quality assurance is a joke.
The Fiat 500 and Mini Cooper were reward cars for menu book 3. Sounds like you haven’t really played the game much.

I wonder if PD will scramble to fix the already broken again Tomahawk pp glitch or if it will take awhile to figure out how to truly fix it. Either way, even with one of the new events paying 1 million credits, that particular event at Tokyo Expressway is still the best money gaining method.

When I started Gr4 Monza with my McLaren Gr4 for the first time, I thought that I was driving really badly, which I wasn't aware of and also surprised me.
With the Atenza I'm almost there right away 2.7 seconds faster.

This really annoys me because, like you, I don't feel like driving the Atenza (or WRX Gr3).

Tested some WTC800 at Sardegna...
Used this track to test and buy every GT.3-Car while grinding....always same, RH, 2 stops (5th and 10th lap)
Tried now the new Subaru BRZ GT300.....is kind of a GT2.5 car :)
I tried since now almost 20 cars....the BRZ beats all by 30 seconds...now I have to test the R8 LMS, because the BRZ was like on rails...

BTW: Clean bonus again, had some hard touches....

There is a clear overabundance of criticism on this forum. I don't understand how you can say this game lacks severe content. You might not like the actual content, but there's a ton of it. I have played 51 hours as of this moment and have not even touched the online gameplay. It's all personal preference. I played GT Sport for just over 600 hours which is exactly 25 days. That had way less content than this game. I don't mind spending 80 euro's on something I play so much. One night in a bar and I spend the same, I'd say I am getting my money's worth.

Couldn't agree more. I hate the Atenza as much as the FF cars which says a lot. At least with Gr. 3 I pretty much always see multiple types of cars on the top 1. I know recently the WRX was dominating but it doesn't always and I at least can have fun races in the 4C when the WRX or RCZ dominates. That's simply not the case with Gr4. That piece of trash atenza is at least 1 second faster than the 4C, 650s, or 458, if not 2 sec in some cases like you said.

It's ruining what should be a fun class. PD needs to pay more attention to the leaderboards because it's inexcusable that they're letting the Atenza slide like this.

OK, tried the Audi R8 LMS Evo on Sardegna...the car I disliked a lot because it was very unstable in fast corners....but know, like on rails (almost)

Have they changed the pp loophole with rode height?

The tuners discovered that you could rise the height to rally car levels with little effect on the car, but a huge reduction in pp that could then be put into power.

Personally I did not like it, making the fastest cars look wrong and not being realistic at all.

New race timer? Has this been updated in other times events??
Not sure. Haven’t looked. I think the notes say it is for all timed races.

Payout with getting 1.5 seconds worth of penalties and rear ending the AI as they slam the brakes during the Rain storm.

AI Viper pit with for RH, with 1 minute to go. It was 8 seconds behind me at that point.

I expected new events in the update…

But… only three?

That’s honestly pretty bad.

One of the biggest shortcomings GT7 has is its surprisingly short and small campaign/event list. This is where you get the most mileage out of the car, track, and modification list, and it’s by far the easiest thing for PD to expand upon. They have the assets and tools, all they need to do is throw a bunch together.

I agree, there is a ton of it. But what exactly is it? No M5, but a ton of japanese compact cars. Not a single version of the new M4 (street, GT3, GT4), but literally a ton of GTR versions. Japanese compacts can be fun and I like the GTR a lot. But having 10 GTRs and zero M5s is a big imbalance.

Which brings me to the Atenza GT4 problem. Having a ton of japanese compacts and a massively overpowered Atenza might not be caused by disability but rather on purpose. PD is japanese, Sony is japanese. The mentioned compacts and the Atenza are also. So this might just be a "sponsorship" or whatever you wanna call it.

You're relatively new to GT, I'm guessing. The reason there's so much criticism is because people here feel compelled to compare every new title to the previous games in the series. When games get arguably worse as the series goes on, instead of getting better, it's not a good thing and will bring plenty of criticism, especially from die-hard fans.

Yes, the size of the update makes no sense.

Unless they're doing their old tactic of hiding things in the game, before they officially release them.

I can't understand how it sizes up to 4.7GB either.

I think PD have given up🤣
1.5M in 60mins vs 825K in anywhere from 14-20 mins?
Take your pick.

The other problem is games from say the PS2 era e.g. Gran Turismo 4 are designed during a time when online connectivity was almost non-existent as such so content was all there from day one. Nowadays, the focus on games seems to be longevity and adding new content over time is the way to keep the longevity fresh. Unfortunately, this somewhat sacrifices simplicity which is probably why in part sequels of a long running series of games tend to be worse.
