Remember, regardless which one you choose, they're all repetitious when it comes to grinding for Cr.
But hey, if you want to do things the hard way, your choice.
It’s not repetitious to try different cars and different strategies and different set-ups.

I guess it is all about what you want from the game. Some people just want to buy cars so need to grind and some like me, like to race against a reasonable AI and have to earn the win. I only want to but the Porsche 917 and Alfa 155 the next time they are in legendar, so don’t really care about getting millions of credits in the most time effective manner. You obviously do.

Each to their own.

You're moving the goal post, I referred to Cr. grinding.
Anyways, we're talking about different things here, not gonna continue this discussion.
END
Not even moving the goal posts. Grinding is whatever, however long an individual player wants to do it. You already said it’s a choice. Can’t see how we’re talking about different things. Peace out then.

The roulette was never "broken" to begin with.
It was a mere disguise animation to hide the predetermined reward.

They're "pre-determined" so people can't just reset the game and get a different reward, over and over, until they get the one the want. That would be broken, undeniably. It's not "broken" as it stands, I agree, but it's definitely not... forgiving? I don't know.

Meh. I've done the Tokyo/Tomahawk race three times. Hate the track, hate the car, hated every lap of it. So, no.

I'd rather do Sardena in the NSX GT500, Zonda R., etc and actually race/have fun with it for a little less/hr.

To each their own.
I also decided to refuse using Tomahawk glitch. I rather have fun of doing those races. I prefer doing Tokyo in debuffed Ferrari Enzo.

Why are they refusing to fix the lobbies?! The game has been out for damn near two months now and they haven't bothered to fix anything regarding it. The main issue I have is the lag. It's not a issue on my end either because I don't see lag when I go to sport mode and I don't experience lag on other games. Lack of options for lobbies is also super disappointing. It's like all they care about online wise is sport mode now. This is a huge complaint and they haven't nothing about it so far.

GT4 released 17 years ago, in another time when there were only 3000 polygons on 1 car. There are 500.000 on 1 car now. Would you agree that it might take some more time to model circuits and cars these days and that your comparison is the same as oranges and potatoes..?

GT-Sport added tons of events after the release. It was pretty empty at the start. Anyway, I respect your opinion I don't need to agree with it :-)
Polygon count per car has gone up from 3000 to 500,000. Facts. But so has computing power, graphics power, programmer knowledge and experience. So all in all, yes, PD should be able to create more cars, even if it requires a larger staff. I mean, Kaz can re-invest more of his profits towards this, which will only net the company better reputation, and in turn, more profits.

No, because that is clearly not even remotely close to the point I was making. I was talking about GT4 having far more races than GT7, which is why I said GT4 has far more races than GT7.

Well yeah, GT Sport was not meant to have any events in single player. And then they decided to add GT Mode, because of heavy criticism from the fans.

Haha new track layouts.
I have the leaked conversation from PD offices.

Employer 1: how about some new track layout in the new update?
Employer 2: yes good idea!
Em 1: any ideas of layouts missing?
Employer 3: we could include the Bugatti layout at Le Mans.
Em 1: no that too difficult.
Em 3: what about the National layout at Catalunya. All we need to do is remove the barriers on the main straight as the corner is already on the game.
Em 1: no again that too difficul.
Em 2: What about Spa?
Em 1: Go on!….
Em 2: Well we can use the same track that’s already on the game, and just move the start of the race after T1 and keep the original finish line where it is.
Em 1: Genius idea that! That will keep the fans happy. Well done. I’ll make sure you get acknowledgment in our next staff meeting.

As for the rest of the update.
The 3 new cars are a bit boring.
Some good Sports updates. Not sure on the renting of cars yet. Sound good, but I just seen meta cars from day one been used.
World circuit events not too bad, could have been more variety at different tracks.
Engine start up in garage 👍🏻👍🏻 Yes love that
Handling of cars will have to see when racing.

We're complaining about the lack of events, not cars and tracks. I don't see how more polygons or higher res textures apply to creating events. I completely understand the higher detail meaning it takes longer to create content. None of this applies to events.

Tested some WTC800 at Sardegna...
Used this track to test and buy every GT.3-Car while grinding....always same, RH, 2 stops (5th and 10th lap)
Tried now the new Subaru BRZ GT300.....is kind of a GT2.5 car :)
I tried since now almost 20 cars....the BRZ beats all by 30 seconds...now I have to test the R8 LMS, because the BRZ was like on rails...

BTW: Clean bonus again, had some hard touches....
I’ve been having success at Sardegna. Group 2 NSX GT500, RH, FM3, no power reduction necessary, one stop.

Absolutely the easiest grind of the lot.

Exactly. And PD as a company has also grown substantially from 2004.

Let me add here that my computer back then had 256mb of RAM, and I think the "ideal" back then was 512mb of RAM.
Today the "ideal" is 16gb.

This^ is just a reference.

So I guess getting some classics is out of the question huh

This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:

Gran Turismo 7’s Next Update Arrives April 25

An announcement on the official Gran Turismo website and in-game has revealed that a new update will arrive for Gran Turismo 7 on Monday April 25...
So, PD did nothing to address the multiplayer lobbies, they added a few track layouts and gave me 3 different cars to choose from? LET THE HEALING BEGIN!

It's a shame there is so much negatively on this thread/forum regards GT7.

But lets be honest here...

GT7 is essentially GTS with a few new cars and tracks. Infact if that was it, and everything else was the same it would be disappointing yes, but at least the game would work!

What we have instead is a unfinished mess of a game which should have been delayed and not released in state it is in.

If this was the first GT game you ever played then I can understand why you might be satisfied. But for the majority of people here it isn't.

So it is very understandable that people are mad, and rightly so when PD have released a game which is inferior to its predecessors in many, many ways!

PD have no excuse for this, none!

Honest question: What is wrong with the multiplayer lobbies? I never played multiplayer on GT-Sp so I am ignorant.

What is this temperature thing they mention? I haven’t seen it in the race settings screen.

- The following information is now displayed in the Event Screen displayed before each race:
  ・Tyre Wear Rate
  ・Fuel Consumption Rate
  ・Temperature

You have lots of options (altough not enought in my opinion), but you can't save them, so you choose a track to race with your friends and you want to change the track, somebody has to create a new lobby and hope they didn't miss any of the settings. It feels like Polyphony forces us to play single player and sport mode first. something that that is so trivial as saving a modifying track settings is not in hte game and it feel to me that it is done with purpose...

Someone on here can answer your question better as I don't play multiplayer that much but I know when I went into the lobby of GT7 you can't change the event without backing completely out of the room you create. I think it's the same for changing your car? Either way, it's EXTREMELY bad. I was going to play some private online races with a friend and it was so clunky we just gave up. It's really bad.

I honestly don't believe that the majority of players completed the Cafe, the missions, the licenses and the circuit experiences. Again, we don't have to agree. I think there's more than enough stuff to do.

Yeah. I'm certainly not trying to be negative, but I', not gonna put lipstick on a pig either.

Unlike GTS, in GT7, there is no ability for the lobby creator to edit the room inside the lobby. For example, if I want to change the track after a race, have a vote for the room to decide what track, edit the conditions, change the BoP, PP, anything, you can't do it. We have to literally close the room out and start a whole other room to change anything.

Roger. I did do a couple of those with friends in GT-Sp but haven't tried in 7 yet.

I thought it was more something to do with the Daily races.

Delighted to see that the Spa 24 hr course has been added, and the 1 hr enduro will likely be a favourite event.

I'm also looking forward to trying out the new BRZ Super GT.

Good to hear Tom is back in the game too, although I do hope that it is a new spiel and not the same one from GT Sport, which was beautifully delivered but abysmally written. In fact, I think the gist of what it said was almost the opposite of what they should be saying... that good sportsmanship is about treating others with respect and not about how it makes you feel about yourself, hence that much-repeated line about 'making you look bad' always grated on me.

Yep, and also the horrendous lag!

It's got to the point now where believe PD have done it on purpose to steer people away from lobbies and on to sport mode.

Sport mode isn't for everyone though and all I want to do is create a private lobby so I can host weekly events with a close group of friends. Which I now can't do...

Something we have been doing on a weekly basis for years in GTS.

What a horrible update. Never get your hopes up when waiting on PD. They over sell and under deliver every time. This game should not have been released for another 6 months. If this is how slowly they are going to fix the broken lobbies and ad features that every online racer offers, there is no hope. Can’t even change tracks after a race!? Two months in!? What an absolute disgrace PD has become. Turn 10 left them in the dust over a decade ago….

One hour at Spa starts in daylight, goes through the night and finishes in daylight. It rained, not enough for IM's with about 20 minutes to go. I used a stock Epson NSX for an easy one stop win for 1.5 million.

It won't replace the Le Mans 30 minute race as my go-to as I don't like Spa anymore. It's covered in runoff tarmac. Not bad for a bit of a change though.
