I do hope that it is a new spiel and not the same one from GT Sport, which was beautifully delivered but abysmally written.

What a horrible update. Never get your hopes up when waiting on PD. They over sell and under deliver every time. This game should not have been released for another 6 months. If this is how slowly they are going to fix the broken lobbies and ad features that every online racer offers, there is no hope. Can’t even change tracks after a race!? Two months in!? What an absolute disgrace PD has become. Turn 10 left them in the dust over a decade ago….
Yeh the MP Lobby situation is currently a killer for me, and all my mates. None of us are that keen until its sorted.

I honestly don't believe that the majority of players completed the Cafe, the missions, the licenses and the circuit experiences. Again, we don't have to agree. I think there's more than enough stuff to do.
Yeh unless this is the ONLY game you have played since launch, I dont see how you could have Gold on all the missions, licences, and Circuit experiences and burn through the Cafe.

Its really not that hard I got all gold but circuit experiences and I didn't play much the first 15 days of the game being out

Update comments are great!. Every single time. The people who have been playing this series since it's inception get it. We have every right to be upset / expect more / express our confusion towards the direction of PD.
Then there are the Fan Boys.................

Still no sign of the Red Bull X2014 Fan Car. Bit I sure hope that will change down the road. That aside I'm going to try the new Spa when I'm back from my night shift.

Cr. 1 million per hour* seems long but alright. Hope that amount or higher can be brought over to the Circuit de la Sarthe in a future update.

*Not including 50% Clean Run bonus

Boy, really nice to see the bare minimum of content being added at the latest possible time to make Kaz's written and nailed down promise true.

So, what's the next goal post to be moved to pass the buck on Kaz and PD cutting the game to the bone to force through rampant monetization?

It was pretty underwhelming for sure, when they said they were adding new layouts I was expecting something like the Bugatti Circuit, not... a longer pitlane and different starting positions at Spa.
It was never going to be the Bugatti Circuit. That is a bit more than a layout change.

Nurburgring GP/D and Barcelona/Monza short circuits were more likely. Spa 24h was even less work than that.

How does the Carrera GT handle now?
Better.

From the cars I've tested after the update (Carrera GT, tuned 458 and tune Mustang Mach 1), they all got better without me changing anything to them since prior to the update. The Mustang could barely take a corner, now it drives fairly well. They all felt quite a bit understeer-y on slower corners, now they can actually corner.

So, although the content added is very disappointing (same Spa layout with just a different pit stop, really? We pretty much ended up with a duplicate car, and now a duplicate layout lol), atleast the existing cars, are now better to drive, which is a good thing.

All hail the mighty people that have played since GT1. Because I am enjoying a game and not parroting the negative vibe here I am a fanboy. 🤣

At least I am happy I am not getting upset about a game.

Perhaps this update was a content test - to make sure the application of new cars and track(s) (layouts) works as well as it did in GT Sport. Although I’m rather disappointed with the amount of new content this update provided, it could be a case of start the first one small and then provide quite a bit more in the next update e.g. GT Sport first update contained 3 cars from what I’ve seen (can’t remember exactly) but I do remember the next update in December 2017 provided 10 cars (might have been more actually) so perhaps the next GT7 update will follow suit. This being PD and their ‘excellent’ strive for reliability, consistency, communication and innovation however, this small content update could end up being the norm for updates and god forbid I hope not - I don’t think it will be minimal but it’s hard to be fully confident at this point and forward - especially with the fixed that still need to be applied e.g. lobbies.

I was hoping for the Bugatti layout too. while I agree it is a bit more than a layout something like that in this update would have been a big positive to most.

The national layout at Catalunya was an easy addition to. The corner already exists it just two barriers need removing. Suzuka west also easy to do too.

It also bothers me how each of the three new events are isolated to Spa. Does this indicate they will only add new events to new circuits / layouts going foward? I seriously hope not. Some of the tracks that launched with the game are totally lacking in terms of different events.

And before some PD apologist asks me what could possibly have made me happy. Nine to twelve new World Circuit events per update, and not just copies of existing events. It would seem like a reasonable amount for a game that launched as empty as GT7 did.

Why is PD ignoring the MP lobby situation? They literally set the bar as high is it is on their own with GT Sport. How did they think this was not going to be a major sticking point for a large portion of their player base?
I'm totally baffled by it. It is killing the organised online racing community!

Surely they can't be that ignorant?
What do they think kept GTS going so long?

It has to be deliberate, it's the only explanation for it...
