I'm expecting this "update" to break the game and/or create new bugs and glitches.
Custom championships is a great idea👍I feel like the custom race feature is woefully under developed. We should at least be able to save custom races so we don't have to set up 20+ different options every time we want to do a particular race.
We should also be able to make custom championships and even better, let us share them on the showcase. With an increase in winnings for custom races more in line with the events already in the game, this would eliminate the problem of having too few events in the game and allow another avenue for players to creative and share with the community.
Yeah, sadly. Everytime there's a new patch I have anxiety lmaoI'm expecting this "update" to break the game and/or create new bugs and glitches.
I've been pushing this idea too, since before GT5 came out. We had a small one in GT2 which would generate five events on five tracks with five similarly specked cars to the one you chose, and had a reasonably good credit prize based on the performance level of the cars.We should also be able to make custom championships and even better, let us share them on the showcase. With an increase in winnings for custom races more in line with the events already in the game, this would eliminate the problem of having too few events in the game
I think this is going to be a small update, just bug fixes and couple track layouts to exisiting tracks. No new cars, no new events. Just to keep the Tomahawk X out of races as experimental cars aren't supposed to race at all. That Toyota GR010 Hypercar confirmed for GT7 I expect to come in an update in May/June.
Just to kill off the Tomahawk farms and to ban that one car from ever racing in any races again because the PP of the car is too high.
The SoPhY AI is only used for small insignificant challenges similar to LH Challenge in previous game. Which is how I meant for it being useless at the end despite all of the fanfares.I take Sophy AI one hundred times over an ai that pit maneuvers you and is not aware that you exist lol.
knowing the taste of yaka photo, it would be nice if they added an "old" effect live...Let's hope for vintage layouts like 80's Fuji. Totally great would be the early 60's Fuji!
Monaco as well, and cars like LFA and 918 with weissach packagehope that we will have Silverstone back
I've made a modest 20m only but it's o for me. But will be playing this to make it 25m or 30m.Better cash out on the Tokeo Expressway WTC600 this weekend.
I hope the championship races or even the single races are a minimum 5 laps instead of keeping them at 2 or 3 laps.I’m not an expert sim racer so I don’t really care too much about some of the stuff you people complain about. I’ll be honest and I really enjoy the game and I’m happy with what we currently have. Obviously I’d like more stuff to be added as it can get boring just doing daily racers over and over.
Reading the notes from the new update and hopefully they are some good updates.
If new layouts for tracks are to be added, id like to see.
Le Mans - the Bugatti track
Spa - the original layout
Fiji - they are lots of layout for this. Even some of the older variants.
Suzuka - west course.
Catalunya - few variants you can add with this.
Cars - I’d love to have more current 2021/22 cars. Like why isn’t the new Golf 8 added, or Bugatti Chiron etc…
Also love to see some of the fast SUVs added.
But if it likely to be only 7 cars then it could be anything…
Cafe Missions - definitely get more of these added, along with more single player championships
Also manufactures championships like GT4
Hope the Gr4 class is more evenly matched. That Atenza can do one!
Le Mans without chicanes is already in the game, but their is no events for itI think we're likely to see Le Mans no chicanes, 2022 Spa and 2021 Catalunya as the new layouts with the Model 3, maybe the Toyota 88CV, GT-One and GR10. The model 3 is the only one I'd say likely however given we do have official advertising footage with a real one modified by the owner of the BRZ drift car that's in game atm
I like that idea. Gives you a bit of a challenge and an end goal to work towards. Most of the times when I do custom race I find them boring as I don’t see and end goal to work towards apart from collecting credits. Custom races feel like a chor at time.I feel like the custom race feature is woefully under developed. We should at least be able to save custom races so we don't have to set up 20+ different options every time we want to do a particular race.

Agree. Championship events should be 5-10 laps maybe 15 or so at a push. And the winnings should be a good amount too.I hope the championship races or even the single races are a minimum 5 laps instead of keeping them at 2 or 3 laps.
You can also maybe just put it in a race with other AI Opponents, you don’t just have great or just bad drivers in a race, so that could make it a little more realisticThe SoPhY AI is only used for small insignificant challenges similar to LH Challenge in previous game. Which is how I meant for it being useless at the end despite all of the fanfares.
Your list is very similar to how the championship creator on AMS2 functions, which is exactly what I had in mind in my post. And your list perfectly outlines the potential there is with a fully featured event creator, having so many options would really push the number of possible event combinations pretty far.I've been pushing this idea too, since before GT5 came out. We had a small one in GT2 which would generate five events on five tracks with five similarly specked cars to the one you chose, and had a reasonably good credit prize based on the performance level of the cars.
I want to see an Event Maker which is useful offline and in online lobbies, something truly comprehensive.
I hadn't thought of saving and sharing them, that's a great idea. Just imagine the lists of classic races from all manner of leagues which racing enthusiasts would create. With appropriate liveries, these would be the basis of some incredible racing.
- A single race or up to 99 events with a championship - that should be plenty
- Select class, from PP matched street cars to Formula GT, and support multiple classes
- Select number of positions (per class)
- Set points however you want, with separate points for championship race
- Select cars from the stock list and/or your garage
- Select track per event, time of day, and weather if the track supports it
- Set any rules and infractions, including qualifying times
- Allow AI bots for cooperative online racing for a full grid
- Allow saving between events for long racing series
- Generate/set appropriate credit payouts - within sensible limits
- Have fun
This would be great,me personally would rather have more tracks instead of different layouts of existing tracks. And being able to hotlap against different ghosts of fast laps in time trial mode, but i hold my breath on that one.It better be good. What we need...
- Races that pay above Cr. 1 million and can be repeated.
- Return of old favorites like Midfield Raceway and Grand Valley.
- New and returning cars like the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento and Red Bull X2014 Fan Car.
That says people bought it. It does not tell you if they were satisfied with it once they did.And yet we still have people like:
Who don't seem to realize that a world exists outside of their feelings, and can't believe that everyone else doesn't share their disappointment and anger.
That's a pretty roundabout method to do something that should be a basic feature.Just take the screenshot. They got auto uploaded to the cloud. Have the PlayStation App on your phone go into captures on the app and download it to your phone.
Yes. Have you not been paying attention?I don't think so, but if so, enjoy a futuristic paperweight
As did Cyberpunk 2077. What's your point? That spending lots of money on marketing works at generating sales regardless of the quality of the game? We know. It's why EA/Activision/etc are such a joke, because they get big sales numbers through marketing despite their games being pretty bad.Oh, the game was still selling well, and posting #1 on multiple charts "despite controversy".
But it's what to be expected from a competent developer. You can also maybe just put it in a race with other AI Opponents, you don’t just have great or just bad drivers in a race, so that could make it a little more realistic
I think this is just the start of what to expect from future games now. Due to the huge content games can now include, i think some developers are pushed to get games out now, and will just resolve issue on the fly. A bit like what we seen so far with GT7.This game needs improvements in so many aspects of it that the update is bound to dissapoint a portion of the players.
I'm hoping for the best.
